Your 2019 Kia Sportage is losing oil much faster than normal. You've been adding several quarts every two weeks, and the oil warning light came on only once before the engine ran nearly dry during maintenance. The dealer performed multiple oil consumption tests and reported minimal loss, but the vehicle completely lost all its oil while parked at the dealer. This excessive oil consumption started around 70,000 miles and needs diagnosis to identify whether the issue is internal engine wear, a leak, or a seal failure.

Your engine is consuming oil much faster than normal — you're adding oil approximately three times between oil changes on a 6-year-old vehicle. Your mechanic has checked for recalls but found none, and you haven't noticed any warning lights or other problems. This typically requires a mechanic to inspect for internal engine wear, leaks, or other sources of oil loss.

Your oil warning light keeps coming on just a few hundred miles after each oil change, and you're losing oil between services even though mechanics found no leaks. Kia has acknowledged this is a known issue with GDI engines but won't address it under warranty. The engine may need frequent top-ups or an oil consumption diagnosis to determine if internal engine wear is accelerating the problem.

Unknown Or Other →3 issues
When you press the gas pedal from a complete stop, your car sometimes doesn't respond right away—there's a brief delay before it accelerates. This might be caused by a throttle response issue, fuel delivery problem, or transmission lag that would need diagnostic testing to pinpoint.

Your 2019 Kia Sportage's paint is peeling and bubbling in multiple areas, including the roof spoiler (which has completely peeled off), side view mirrors, and door handles. You've reported the issue to Kia, but they've declined to extend the warranty or repair the paint despite being aware of the problem. Fixing this would likely involve sanding, repainting, and potentially replacing affected trim pieces like the spoiler.

Engine And Engine Cooling →2 issues
Your 2019 Kia Sportage is burning through oil abnormally fast—requiring 6 quarts every 1,900 miles. After an oil change, the engine started shuddering, misfiring, and stalling while driving at highway speeds, with warning lights for low oil pressure and check engine appearing on your dashboard. The dealer replaced spark plugs and other parts, but the problem continued and they determined the entire engine needs replacement. The manufacturer won't cover the repair cost unless it's related to a faulty engine rod. Fixing this will likely require either engine rod replacement or a complete engine replacement, depending on what's actually damaged.

Your check engine light came on and the vehicle went into limp mode while driving. After the dealer performed an oil change and updated the knock sensor system, your engine oil warning light later illuminated and you discovered the oil level was critically low. The dealer informed you that the pistons were faulty and the entire engine needed to be replaced, but your vehicle was out of warranty at 95,000 miles. The repair was not completed.

Engine,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your engine is burning through oil much faster than normal, losing about 3 quarts every 1,000 miles. This suggests internal engine parts like piston rings may be worn, allowing oil to leak into the combustion chamber where it burns away. This is a safety concern because your engine can run dangerously low on oil without a clear warning light, potentially causing engine damage or failure while driving. Fixing this will likely require internal engine repair or replacement of worn components like piston rings or valve seals.

Power Train,engine →1 issue
Your engine is consuming oil at an excessive rate—about 1 quart every 361 miles—which is a sign of a serious internal problem. Continuing to drive with low oil levels risks complete engine failure and leaves you and your passengers unsafe. The manufacturer has denied your warranty claim, but excessive oil consumption typically requires engine repair or replacement to address the underlying defect.

Steering,service Brakes,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your brake pedal is sticking and jamming, and your steering wheel has excessive looseness with a lot of play in it. A warning light with an exclamation point is flashing on your dashboard, and you're hearing electrical noises when you turn the car off. Your engine is consuming oil at about a pint per week, which is much faster than normal. The combination of these issues has resulted in the vehicle being towed twice in three weeks.

Service Brakes, Hydraulic, trailer Hitches →1 issue
Your 2019 Kia Sportage had two open recalls for the brakes and trailer hitch, but the manufacturer denied the repair requests. You experienced a no-start condition without warning lights, and later your brother heard abnormal sounds from under the hood followed by a burning smell. The dealer said the recall warranty had expired and wouldn't diagnose or repair the vehicle due to cost.

Unknown Or Other,engine,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your check engine light started blinking and your car began stalling out, so you parked it in your driveway. This typically indicates a serious engine or fuel system problem that needs immediate diagnosis. A mechanic will need to scan your car's diagnostic codes to identify the exact issue.

Unknown Or Other,engine →1 issue
Your car is consuming about 1.5 quarts of oil every 200 miles, requiring you to top off oil between monthly oil changes. Even when oil runs low, your dashboard gives no warning, so you need to check it daily. Additionally, your car randomly won't start even after you replaced the battery and spark plugs, suggesting a deeper electrical or engine issue may be causing both problems.

Exterior Lighting →1 issue
Your high beam headlights aren't working properly. You discovered that Kia issued a Technical Service Bulletin about halogen bulb failures on similar models, but your dealer couldn't diagnose the issue and said your vehicle isn't covered by recall or warranty. The headlights will likely need inspection and bulb replacement or electrical repair.

Structure,unknown Or Other →1 issue
The clear coat paint on top of your hatchback is peeling. You noticed it on September 29, 2025, with no warning signs beforehand. Your dealer said the paint warranty has expired and Kia won't cover it under their 3-year, 36,000-mile paint warranty. Fixing this will likely involve sanding down the affected area and repainting the hatchback top.
