Quadratec, Inc. is recalling certain aftermarket accessory, driver-side, Ultimate Floor Liners part numbers 14254.0301 07, 14254.0301 08, 14254.0301Q, 14254.0302 07, 14254.0302 08, 14254.0302Q, 14254.0303 07, 14254.0303 08, 14254.0303Q, 14254.0309 07, 14254.0309 08, and 14254.0309Q sold from May 1, 2012, through February 14, 2013. The liners are for use in 2007-2013 Jeep Wranglers. The anchor point for the affected floor liners may tear during use, particularly when exposed to high temperatures. The tearing may allow the floor liner to shift forward.
Fix: Quadratec will notify owners and either exchange the liners or provide them with a hook guard kit to help secure the driver-side mat, free of charge. The recall began on April 4, 2013. Owners may contact Quadratec at 1-800-463-2998 or info@quadratec.com.

I PURCHASED A USED JEEP THAT HAD FLOOR MATS THAT I FOUND OUT HAD A SAFETY RECALL THAT STATED THE HOLE THAT IS USED TO HOOK FLOOR MATS TO THE FLOOR BOARD COULD TEAR CAUSING GAS PEDAL TO STICK CAUSING A CRASH. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL ONLY FIX THE ISSUE IF I WAS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF THE FLOOR MAT. THEN IN A FOLLOW UP EMAIL THEY STATED THAT THE WARRANTY ONLY APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE BUT A SAFETY RECALL BY QUADRATEC ( SEE THEIR RECALL POST ) HTTPS://WWW.QUADRATEC.COM/IMAGES/FLR.PDF I THEN SENT A FOLLOW UP LETTER ASKING THEM IF IN FACT THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT IT IS OKAY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR IF THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY WILL REFUSE TO REPLACE OR REPAIR A SELF DESCRIBED SAFETY RECALL. I PURCHASE A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER AS AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE. THE MODEL HAS A KEY RECOGNITION KEY AND IN THIS LAST YEAR HAS FAILED TWICE. BOTH TIMES WE HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER, REPLACE THE WCM, AND REPROGRAM THE KEY. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS: FORTUNATELY I WAS IN EDMONTON BOTH TIMES THE WCM FAILED. IF IT HAD BEEN ONE MONTH EARLIER I WAS 50 MILES IN THE BUSH WITH AN 80 YEAR OLD DIABETIC. NO CELL PHONE ACCESS. THERE IS NO MANUAL OVERRIDE FOR THIS VEHICLE THEREFORE YOU ARE STRANDED. IT SHOULD NOT BE MARKETED AS AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS CORRECTED. *TR
CHRYSLER SAFETY RECALL J24, MOPAR TOW BAR. THERE APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITHIN CHRYSLER/JEEP ABILITY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL AFFECTS ONLY 308 UNITS THE REPAIR PARTS ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE. DEALERS ARE RESTRICTED TO ORDERING ONLY ONE REPAIR KIT PER WEEK. THE DEALER KNOWS NOTHING THE CHRYSLER HOT LINE ASSURED ME (AFTER I INQUIRED ABOUT THE REPAIR) THAT THE REPAIR KIT FOR MY VEHICLE WOULD BE SENT TO THE DEALER. THEY ANSWERED MY QUESTION OF WHEN BY SAYING THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THE KIT WOULD BE SENT. GREAT. NO MORE VACATION TRAVEL PULLING A JEEP BEHIND THE RV UNTIL THE KIT FINALLY COMES IN. IT APPEARS THAT NOTIFICATION OF A PROBLEM AND SOLVING THE PROBLEM ARE NOT ONE IN THE SAME. *TR
