After putting it in park and shutting it off, you noticed a fire burning underneath the Jeep, which caused complete vehicle loss by the time firefighters arrived. This issue likely involves a serious electrical or fuel system malfunction that caused both the smoke and fire.

Your shifter bushing—the part that connects your gear shift to the shifting cable—keeps breaking or coming loose. This has happened four times in about 6-8 weeks, requiring repeated repairs. This could eventually leave you unable to shift gears reliably.

2007 JEEP WRANGLER. CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM VEHICLE REPAIRS RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD & MY MOTOR JUST CUTS OFF. HAPPENED 3 TIMES OVER THE PAST WEEKEND & HAPPENED ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO.. VERY DANGEROUS & FRIGHTENING. AFTER I PUT IT IN PARK, IT ALWAYS RESTARTS. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING IN TRAFFIC
NO MATTER HOW LONG THE JEEP RUNS I ONLY HAVE HEAT ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE. I HAVE VERIFIED THAT MY BLEND DOORS ARE WORKING. LIVING IN COLORADO THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE, MY WINDSHIELD DOES NOT DEFROST COMPLETELY.
DRIVING JEEP WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON HORN STARTED BLOWING WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID STARTED SPRAYING THEN JEEP EXPLODED ON FIRE. JUST GOT STOPPED AND OUT BEFORE JEEP TOTALLY ENGULFED IN FIRE NOTHING LEFT BUT 2 REAR WHEELS. DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH ON SMOOTH STRAIGHT HIGHWAY.
AT ANY GAS STATION (VEHICLE STATIONARY) WHEN FILLING UP FUEL TANK, USING THE AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF ON THE PUMP, IT WILL SHUT OFF, BUT ALWAYS ALLOWS GAS TO OVERFLOW AND SPEW A SMALL AMOUNT OF GAS OUT THE FILLER HOLE AND DOWN THE SIDE OF THE JEEP. SUSPECT SOME SORT OF FILLER NECK OR GAS TANK VENTILATION PROBLEM. THIS MOST RECENTLY HAPPENED TODAY (1/11/16), BUT HAS HAPPENED EVERY TIME I'VE FILLED THE GAS TANK SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO.
PICKED UP APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF CORD OF WOOD USING MY UTILITY TRAILER, OVER-DRIVE DISABLED WHEN PULLING TRAILER. BACKED TRAILER INTO YARD TO UNLOAD THE ALREADY SEASONED AND SPLIT WOOD. PUT JEEP INTO PARK, ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE AND LEFT THE JEEP TO DROP THE TRAILER, HEARD A POP AND FLAMES BEGAN TO SHOOT OUT FROM UNDER THE JEEP. I REACHED INTO THE VEHICLE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND REMOVE THE KEY. I HEARD ANOTHER POP AND SAW THAT FLAMES WERE NOW SHOOTING INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I RAN INTO MY HOUSE TO GET A FIRE EXTINGUISHER, CAME BACK OUT, OPENED THE HOOD CAREFULLY AND BEGAN TO TRY AND EXTINGUISH THE FLAME. IN ORDER TO FULLY PUT OUT THE FIRE IT TOOK THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND MULTIPLE BUCKETS OF WATER. AFTER THE FIRE WAS FULLY EXTINGUISHED I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE CARRIER.
WHEN I FILL UP MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER, IT PUKES UP GAS AFTER FILLING UP AND IT HAS BEEN REALLY GETTING WORSE LATELY.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND RECENTLY THE HORN STOPPED WORKING ALSO. I HAVE FOUND A RECALL, BUT WHEN SPEAKING WITH CHRYSLER ABOUT MY AVAILABLE RECALLS, IT IS NOT LISTED. THE NHTSA ACTION NUMBER IS PE11019 AND MY MAKE AND MODEL IS LISTED IN THE CAMPAIGN. WAS TOLD TO GET THE OTHER RECALLS ADDRESSED AND SEE IF IT WOULD HELP WITH THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ANOTHER DRIVER NOTICED THAT SMOKED WAS EMITTING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MERGED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER, THE VEHICLE WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SECOND DEGREE BURNS TO THE LEFT LEG WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A RUGGED DIRT ROAD VERY SLOWLY AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE AC VENTS. I STEPPED OUT OF THE JEEP AND OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED FLAMES. I IMMEDIATELY GRABBED MY VALUABLES AND RAN AWAY AS THE JEEP EXPLODED INTO HEAVY FIRE. IT BURNED COMPLETELY. *JS
ON A ROCKY ROAD AT RAUCH CREEK OFFROAD PARK IN TREMONT, PA. I WAS STOPPED WAITING FOR MY FRIEND TO GIVE ME DIRECTIONS. HE NOTICED WHAT HE FIRST THOUGHT WAS STEAM COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. IN FACT IT WAS SMOKE. WITHIN ONE MINUTE FLAMES WERE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. WITHIN TWO MINUTES THE ENTIRE VEHICLE WAS ENGULFED. I INJURED MYSELF IN MY HASTE TO GET OUT OF THE BURNING VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE PHOTO'S AND VIDEOS AVAILABLE OF THE INCIDENT. *JS
2007 JEEP WRANGLER/ LESS THAN 18 K MILES: HIT MINOR BUMP AT APPROX 40 MILES/ HR, FRONT END BEGAN VIOLENT WOBBLING AND I COULD NOT STOP THE WOBBLE UNTIL I FINALLY CAME TO A STOP. I WAS VERY FORTUNATE THAT THIS SITUATION DID NOT RESULT INTO AN ACCIDENT. THIS WAS THE 1ST TIME THIS HAPPENED TO ME, JUST PURCHASED 2 MONTHS AGO. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX PROBLEM. FUEL SPIT BACK ISSUE! I RECENTLY JUST BOUGHT THIS JEEP FROM A LOCAL DEALER THAT FIRST NIGHT WHILE LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP I WENT TO FILL UP MY TANK. THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T FILL UP YOUR TANK IF YOU BUY A USED CAR. WHILE STANDING AND WAITING FOR THE PUMP NOZZLE TO STOP I DID WHAT I USUALLY DO AND WAITED BY THE FUEL NOZZLE. AFTER THE FUEL NOZZLE CLICKED LETTING ME KNOW THAT THE TANK WAS FULL AND UPON TAKING OUT THE FUEL PUMP NOZZLE I NOTICED THAT ABOUT 3/4 OF A QUART OF GAS POURED OUT ALL OVER MY SHOES. AT FIRST I DIDN'T MIND THIS BUT AFTER A FEW TIMES OF REFUELING TO FULL THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME! IT SEEMS AS IF THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE TANK THAT BUILDS UP AND IS NOT RELEASED DURING FILLING. EACH AND EVERY TIME I PUT GAS IN AND PUMP UNTIL FULL ALSO IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE FUEL PUMP IS ON HIGH PRESSURE OR LOW PRESSURE. GAS POURS OUT!
2007 JEEP WRANGLE SAHARA FOUR DOOR FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SIX SPEED STANDARD . WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT 60MPH WHILE HITTING A MINOR BUMP IN ROADWAY SENDS VEHICLE INTO A VIGOROUS SHAKING. THIS IS NOT A MINOR SHAKING IT SENDS VEHICLE INTO A VERY RAPID SIDE TO SIDE PULLING MOTIONS. I WAS BARLEY ABLE TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY SAFELY WITH MY TWO YEAR OLD AND 6 MONTHS OLD DAUGHTERS IN THE JEEP DURING THE INCIDENT. THE JEEP IS 100% STOCK NO AFTER MARKET PARTS AND I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. *TR
VEHICLE STALLS WHILE IN GEAR AT SPEED OR UNDER ACCELERATION. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS THE ENGINE LOSES POWER AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH COME ON. AFTER 2 TO 3 SECONDS ENGINE REGAINS POWER AND WARNING LIGHTS GO OFF. DEALER FLASHED THE COMPUTER IN MARCH AND HAVE NOT HAD A STALL SINCE BUT THEY WERE VERY INFREQUENT SO I DON'T KNOW IF THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM.
