On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. The air bags did not deploy.

Specifically, I have encountered recurring problems with the vehicle's automatic braking system, as well as issues with the Honda Prologue app, both of which I believe compromise the vehicle's safety and performance. The vehicle's automatic braking system appears to be malfunctioning, as it has activated unexpectedly on multiple occasions, leading to near-miss accidents.

Your 2024 Honda Prologue has a safety recall (26V112) for instrument panel and rearview camera display failures. Your dealer started a software update from Android 12 to Android 14 to fix these known issues but stopped the update and won't complete it, leaving your vehicle on the outdated operating system. You've contacted Honda corporate without resolution and don't feel safe driving the vehicle. The repair involves completing the operating system update that the dealer started.

This is can leave me stranded and unable to get into my car.

I was not assisted with setting up OnStar on the day of purchase, which was at the end of September 2024. The next day, when I was unable to set it up myself, I contacted the dealer and was sent numerous links to set it up. However, it has never worked and has been to the Service department twice.

Today, my Honda dealer said they will not perform the update needed for Manufacturer Recall Number XNK and NHTSA Recall Number 26V-112 because it failed on another vehicle last week. They have no ETA.

This vehicle started making a clicking sound at 2000 miles when turning. This is a known issue with the 2024 axels that Honda refuses to fix. I took this in to my dealer and they said it was normal, that all of the 2024 models are making this sound.

I began noticing a clacking or clicking sound when turning the steering wheel fully left or right. There is also visible grease on the inside of the front wheels, indicating a possible failure in the axle system.

Turn signal switch actuator. When engaging in a right turn with the signal on, the turn signal switch will attempt to auto-reset into position where it will regularly engage the left-turn signal 3-blink indication for a lane change. The issue does not occur with every singly turn, but with enough regularity for it to be a very common occurrence on every drive the vehicle takes.

The back up camera has malfunctioned and is taking moisture into the lens, making it impossible to see out of. Due to this I cannot properly see blind spots behind my vehicle when backing up, putting those behind me at risk. The dealer confirmed this issue 4/10/2025.

After having my car plugged in over night, I unplugged my vehicle and put the cap on the charger. Since I was going to be gone for 4 days, I decided to unplug my charger from the wall. Since I had turned my back to the charging port, I didn’t notice the charge door was still open.

When using the Honda link app, sometimes the app experiences issues and the signal is never sent to the vehicle. If the keys are lost, this would create a safety issue in case of an emergency when access to the vehicle is needed. The app in general does not update and or fails to display the vehicle information at times.

Twice, a "service high voltage" error light has come on and it has said it impacts the ADAS and safety systems and the acceleration of the vehicle. The light disappeared after a short drive, but the heating system stopped working.

My boyfriend went to charge the car and it stopped and gave a high voltage message and then the heat stopped working so next day day took it to the dealer and they said they ruled out the battery but there is a component that is broken allowing the coolant to cool off battery. The have no ETA ON THE PART.

The axles make a bad clunking sound when performing sharp turns. Honda says it is “normal” yet the problem started after owning it for some time. Also, not every car (Honda or otherwise) has this “normal” behavior.

OnStar would not work and could not be enabled. OnStar is required to enable navigation and the HondaLink app. The dealership keep the vehicle for 5 week trying to resolve.

Less than 1200 miles on the car and the cv axle was clicking on the left side. Dealer confirmed that replacement of the cv joint/axle is needed and the part is apparently on order.

My brakes were mushy when braking. Warning notices on the dash for servicing brakes and other related brake systems came up. At one point I couldn't come to a full stop.

HondaLink app will not connect with vehicle and requires re-activiation with Honda support occasionally. This is a safety concern as I am unable to identify and/or unlock car in an emergency (lost key), nor check tire pressure, and ultimately identify current state of vehicle battery. I have notified manufacturer and have two (2) open cases at this time.

When using honda link locking or unlock doors system fails to unlock. If I can’t get to my keys or have lost my keys I’m locked out of my vehicle. In case of emergency I would be locked out of my vehicle and could be a safety hazard.

I just leased a 2024 Honda Prologue in October. It has a serious design flaw that Honda is refusing to fix -- the minimum temperature setting for heat is 70 degrees! Set the temperature any lower than 69 and it will blast feet and face with cold air even if the car is cold and it is 20 degrees outside.

The automatic emergency barking system suddenly applies even when there are no obstructions. Happens regularly. I was almost rear-ended at a stop light by another vehicle because of the sudden application of the emergency braking system, even though there was nothing in front of me.

Hondalink cannot stay linked to the car and frequently will not connect at all. Last week, the car locked with my keys inside, and Hondalink could not connect to unlock the car, keeping me locked out with my sleeping child in the car until someone could bring me my spare key to get in. This was terrifying and a huge safety risk.

HondaLink Application does not always accurately communicate with the vehicle. This could cause issues with sounding alarm for distress or just everyday convenience for heating/cooling the car. Also, it is used to track charing and tire pressure.

Sensors are highly sensitive, particularly regarding rear braking and parking maneuvers. There are never any objects or individuals behind me, yet the vehicle brakes automatically.

The Honda link app frequently does not connect to my iPhone to remotely unlock my car. If I am locked out with the keys inside I would not safely get into the vehicle. I hope Honda will fix this issue.

The vehicle comes with an HondaLink app that allows control of many features and is needed to claim the valuable charging credits (EVGo) that come with the vehicle. It has been more than a month since we bought the vehicle and the HondaLink app has never worked. I have been on the phone with Honda many times with no fix.

Honda link app is extremely slow to respond or doesn’t respond at all. Safety issue if no keys are available. Unable to unlock car, if keys are left in the car, the car will lock with no way to unlock if the app is not working.

This is an EV by Honda and the system did a reboot while driving on highway at 60mph. All electronic shut down and I was able to pull off onto the shoulder. The car rebooted and drove fine as I was 3 hours from home.

Honda requires Prologue owners to use the Honda Link app in order to obtain warranty information, use credits, access features - but most importantly and the largest issue is we can’t get critical software updates for the vehicle because we can’t access the Honda Link app.
