2024 Honda Prologue Other Problems

On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. The air bags did not deploy.

Front right CV Joint making clicking sound. I took vehicle into the Honda dealership. They kept care for 3 days.

The clicking when turning right or left. The dealership has had my car since December. They don’t have ANY inventory for this car for ANY parts.

Specifically, I have encountered recurring problems with the vehicle's automatic braking system, as well as issues with the Honda Prologue app, both of which I believe compromise the vehicle's safety and performance. The vehicle's automatic braking system appears to be malfunctioning, as it has activated unexpectedly on multiple occasions, leading to near-miss accidents.

This is can leave me stranded and unable to get into my car.

I was not assisted with setting up OnStar on the day of purchase, which was at the end of September 2024. The next day, when I was unable to set it up myself, I contacted the dealer and was sent numerous links to set it up. However, it has never worked and has been to the Service department twice.

I have a 2024 Honda Prologue that has 8000 miles. When making left turns, the car has made very loud and clicking noises from the front axles that are very disturbing and startled me while driving. It occurred again.

Today, my Honda dealer said they will not perform the update needed for Manufacturer Recall Number XNK and NHTSA Recall Number 26V-112 because it failed on another vehicle last week. They have no ETA.

CV joint clicking when turning about 1 month after purchasing the vehicle last year (vehicle purchased 1/4/25). Dealer is aware but said that there is no fix. Still clicking turning both left and right.

This vehicle started making a clicking sound at 2000 miles when turning. This is a known issue with the 2024 axels that Honda refuses to fix. I took this in to my dealer and they said it was normal, that all of the 2024 models are making this sound.

Clicking noise while truning the vehicle at low speed. The sound seems to be coming from CV joints from front axles. Early on, I did not pay much attention becuase the there were a small number of clicking sound.

I began noticing a clacking or clicking sound when turning the steering wheel fully left or right. When engaging in a right turn with the signal on, the turn signal switch will attempt to auto-reset into position where it will regularly engage the left-turn signal 3-blink indication for a lane change. The issue does not occur with every singly turn, but with enough regularity for it to be a very common occurrence on every drive the vehicle takes.

The back up camera has malfunctioned and is taking moisture into the lens, making it impossible to see out of. Due to this I cannot properly see blind spots behind my vehicle when backing up, putting those behind me at risk. The dealer confirmed this issue 4/10/2025.

After having my car plugged in over night, I unplugged my vehicle and put the cap on the charger. Since I was going to be gone for 4 days, I decided to unplug my charger from the wall. Since I had turned my back to the charging port, I didn’t notice the charge door was still open.

When using the Honda link app, sometimes the app experiences issues and the signal is never sent to the vehicle. If the keys are lost, this would create a safety issue in case of an emergency when access to the vehicle is needed. The app in general does not update and or fails to display the vehicle information at times.

Both front CV axels clicking, causing hard turning and need replacement. Dealer does not have part to replace (on critical back order). Honda Motors stating car is safe to drive.

Back up camera is not working, dealer inspected it and can't repair it. Dealer ordered the camera but is been on back order for 6 weeks, this really sucks , because this is a safety issue.

When turning and accelerating, there are a series of loud clicking or creaking noises. Seems to happen more in cold weather, although I notice it all the time.

When I turn left or right from a complete stop it makes a clicking noise. I believe it is the CV joints. I brought it into Honda for them to look at.

Twice, a "service high voltage" error light has come on and it has said it impacts the ADAS and safety systems and the acceleration of the vehicle. The light disappeared after a short drive, but the heating system stopped working.

My boyfriend went to charge the car and it stopped and gave a high voltage message and then the heat stopped working so next day day took it to the dealer and they said they ruled out the battery but there is a component that is broken allowing the coolant to cool off battery. The have no ETA ON THE PART.

The axles make a bad clunking sound when performing sharp turns. Honda says it is “normal” yet the problem started after owning it for some time. Also, not every car (Honda or otherwise) has this “normal” behavior.

When you mark a tight turn either left or right there is a loud clanking noise from the wheel. I only have 600 miles on the car and it happened about 100 miles in.

Vehicle was in for AC/heating issues that occurred the day I bought the vehicle in Oct 2024. AC would blow cold on driver side and hot on passenger. No heat from the driver side footwell area.Dealer had me bring in for diagnosis.

When using my HondaLink app to access the vehicle features, (check state of charge, lock or unlock the door, adjust climate, etc.) often the app has issues sending the signal to or communicating with the car, does not respond or is extremely slow to respond.

A few months after I purchased the car in July, I started hearing a clicking noise when turning from a full stop. In December I was told it was axel issue. It’s not yet been resolved.

I have a new Honda Prologue with less than 300 miles. The Vehicle Drive Shaft makes clicking noise at the CV Joint when I make a left hand turn. I took it to my local Honda Dealership, Roush Honda in Westerville, Ohio.

When turning, either left or right, a clicking noise is coming from the the front end. The noise comes from the front end in the direction I am turning from the wheels area of the front end.

Heard creaking noise from front axels. Had them replaced via warranty and the new ones are doing the same which leads me to believe the replacement fb axels joints are the same

OnStar would not work and could not be enabled. OnStar is required to enable navigation and the HondaLink app. The dealership keep the vehicle for 5 week trying to resolve.

Vehicle makes noise when turning

Less than 1200 miles on the car and the cv axle was clicking on the left side. Dealer confirmed that replacement of the cv joint/axle is needed and the part is apparently on order.

My brakes were mushy when braking. Warning notices on the dash for servicing brakes and other related brake systems came up. At one point I couldn't come to a full stop.

Clicking sound heard when turning right or left at approximately 300 miles. No warning lights were on during the events. I brought it to dealership and after a test drive, was told it's an axle and will take 2 weeks to get in.

HondaLink app will not connect with vehicle and requires re-activiation with Honda support occasionally. This is a safety concern as I am unable to identify and/or unlock car in an emergency (lost key), nor check tire pressure, and ultimately identify current state of vehicle battery. I have notified manufacturer and have two (2) open cases at this time.

When using honda link locking or unlock doors system fails to unlock. If I can’t get to my keys or have lost my keys I’m locked out of my vehicle. In case of emergency I would be locked out of my vehicle and could be a safety hazard.

No heat at all. This is not good when here in the northeast its only been in the teens. My car has now been sitting at the dealership for a month with no idea when the part will be in to fix it.

The center console and the screen behind the sharing wheel black at the same time while I was driving. I couldn't see the speed I was going while driving. I tried turning off the car, taking the key out, then turning the car back on the nothing changed.

I just leased a 2024 Honda Prologue in October. It has a serious design flaw that Honda is refusing to fix -- the minimum temperature setting for heat is 70 degrees! Set the temperature any lower than 69 and it will blast feet and face with cold air even if the car is cold and it is 20 degrees outside.

The automatic emergency barking system suddenly applies even when there are no obstructions. Happens regularly. I was almost rear-ended at a stop light by another vehicle because of the sudden application of the emergency braking system, even though there was nothing in front of me.

Both my screen and dash are off which I’m unable to see my MPH or any info on my dash

Hondalink cannot stay linked to the car and frequently will not connect at all. Last week, the car locked with my keys inside, and Hondalink could not connect to unlock the car, keeping me locked out with my sleeping child in the car until someone could bring me my spare key to get in. This was terrifying and a huge safety risk.

The CV joint is clicking on both side of the SUV.

HondaLink does not work. I cannot rely on the app to charge or use any functionality of the app. I have to use other charging apps to charge my car.

When you turn on Reverse at night, the back up camera is so dark it is hard to see if it’s not fully lit outside by other means. Either the camera needs to be better quality for night viewing or another lighting source should be added to see safely.

HONDALINK app does not operate as intended, restricting access to vehicle door unlock, safety warnings/alerts or tire safety information or roadside assistance during incidents.

Passenger side mirror will not move. Blind spot warning on passenger side/ mirror inoperative.

“While driving with my family, my car’s displays suddenly went black, which was a serious safety concern. I had to pull over for about an hour until they came back on, as I couldn’t see anything.”

As I was coming to a stop light, the radio stopped working. A message came up..."Tuner unavailable. This may fix itself.

The Honda link app is unusable. It constantly says unavailable when trying to remotely start or lock the vehicle.

When turning right, a clicking sound comes from the front end of the vehicle. 3862 miles on the car.

HondaLink Application does not always accurately communicate with the vehicle. This could cause issues with sounding alarm for distress or just everyday convenience for heating/cooling the car. Also, it is used to track charing and tire pressure.

Sensors are highly sensitive, particularly regarding rear braking and parking maneuvers. There are never any objects or individuals behind me, yet the vehicle brakes automatically.

The Honda link app frequently does not connect to my iPhone to remotely unlock my car. If I am locked out with the keys inside I would not safely get into the vehicle. I hope Honda will fix this issue.

The vehicle comes with an HondaLink app that allows control of many features and is needed to claim the valuable charging credits (EVGo) that come with the vehicle. It has been more than a month since we bought the vehicle and the HondaLink app has never worked. I have been on the phone with Honda many times with no fix.

Honda link app is extremely slow to respond or doesn’t respond at all. Safety issue if no keys are available. Unable to unlock car, if keys are left in the car, the car will lock with no way to unlock if the app is not working.

the Hatchback door opened while we were traveling on the highway without warning.

This is an EV by Honda and the system did a reboot while driving on highway at 60mph. All electronic shut down and I was able to pull off onto the shoulder. The car rebooted and drove fine as I was 3 hours from home.

Honda requires Prologue owners to use the Honda Link app in order to obtain warranty information, use credits, access features - but most importantly and the largest issue is we can’t get critical software updates for the vehicle because we can’t access the Honda Link app.
