2024 Honda Prologue Collision Avoidance Problems

Your vehicle's automatic emergency braking system activated without warning while you were driving, causing your car to come to a complete stop in traffic. This vehicle has automatic emergency brakes repeatedly for no reason on empty roads with nothing around the car. It emergency breaks going forward on the highway. It emergency breaks going backwards out of my driveway.

While approaching a red light on a busy road the forward alert triggered and auto breaking was engaged with no vehicle in front. Almost resulted in an accident. Had the light not been red other cars near me may not have been breaking.

On multiple occasions the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking have engaged when there is nothing in the lane. On one occasion, the system engaged brakes very hard - which I can only assume was triggered by a pedestrian on a nearby sidewalk. I was traveling 30mph and the vehicle came to an abrubt stop.

I drive up the same hill everyday and when slightly turning left along a curve going up hill, and if there is a parked car present on the right side of the road, the car will abruptedly stop. When I reverse, from leaving home at our garage, multiple times the car will apply the brakes. It thinks there is something or someone behind me and applies the brakes to avoid hitting something. I ended up turning off the rear braking setting.

Adaptive Cruise Control works when you set the preferred speed but won't slow down when a vehicle is in front. Tried changing gap adjustments but still not slowing down when there's a vehicle in front. It was completely working while I was driving it in the morning then in the afternoon I almost hit the vehicle in front of me due to my vehicle not slowing down.

I got several false positives from the radar or perhaps optical system that caused the vehicle to spontaneously and suddenly brake at freeway speeds. I believe it was the optical system that was at fault due to the shifting lines on the freeway but I can't be sure. I got the radio update service bulletin work completed by the dealership and it seems to have abated.

When backing up with the auto braking on, the car will sometimes brake extremely hard when there is nothing behind me. Sometimes it almost won't let me backup at all as it keeps thinking there is something back there.

Emergency braking in reverse will randomly engage while in reverse when there is no object that is potentially obstructing reverse. Last week when it was raining heavily, AEB engaged at least 10 times while I tried to back out of my garage (there was nothing/nobody in my driveway). Automatic Emergency Braking is too sensitive. I have a one car garage and can not back out of my garage with the feature enabled. It continues to brake and set the parking brake until I disable the braking feature.

The Automatic Emergency Braking system engages without any apparent reason leading to a very dangerous situation since the vehicle abruptly makes a hard stop. This is a real road safety issue.

Parking my car in a space with other cars. Nowhere near the car in front of me and the car just locked up the brakes. It was jarring and really strained my neck as I wasn’t expecting it.
