2018 Honda Accord Lane Departure Problems

The lane departure warning activated when centered in a lane with clearly marked lines on the road and the steering wheel started pulling me out of the lane on a major highway. Within 5 seconds of the initial warning a follow up warning saying "Road Departure" appears and the car initiated automatic breaking in the middle of a highway.

With no object in front of the vehicle, the early warning braking system will activate and apply brakes. This is a very serious failure in the system. I have been able to avoid accidents only due to no cars being behind me when these brakes are applied.

Vehicle safety collision system has tried to stop my vehicle on at least 3 occasions when nothing was in front of it. Happened on highway. Vehicle sensed a ghost and slammed on the brakes.

Was driving straight on I-10 in arizona on carpool lane when suddenly some warning lights came on dashboard car made me veer to the right making me spin out of control causing a crash and hitting the fence.

There are a lot of boxes it would not let me check. Started 2020. For no apparent reason the car will just lose all power and all the warning lights will go on.

ALL dashboard warning lights come on and after doing a Google search, it appears to be a COMMON ISSUE for Honda Accords for 2018 and newer. They will come on and either stay on for days/weeks at a time and then just go off on their own.

Periodically, at various speeds while driving, the “Brake” light will flash and sound on the dashboard, and there’s nothing in front of me. It causes the vehicle to brake and slow down drastically. It happens more often while driving at freeway speeds on the freeway.

Many times since I have purchased my 2018 Accord Touring 1.5T - I have found that sometimes my car will slam on the brakes when doing a lane change. I kind of found that It will do this if I dont have my turn signal indicator on. It is extremely stressful when it does this on the Interstate doing 65 or 70 MPH's.

On occasion, while at hwy speeds with no cars in front of me my car will suddenly start braking. This worries me that people following to closely might not be expecting my car to brake as their us no immediate traffic in front. Also, the lane assist frequently fights me when I am within my lane.

For second time all safety warning lights appeared after starting engine including brake warning light. This occurred once before and took to dealer for a reset.

Twice while driving on 110S in morning rush hour traffic, I get a lane departure warning and the car starts braking. I am not sure if the system is designed to do that but it was a bit scary.

I had several incidents where Honda automatically brake without reason. I was driving 75mph and without reason it fully brake and bring my car to complete stop leaving cars to emergency brake. I recently had multiple occasions where it again brake automatically with nothing block in front of the car.
