7/24/25 Ford Dealer replaced airbag recall, however, the caution light still lights up, like there is still a problem. to do a diagnostic why , they will not cover the cost. Is it possible that the new Airbag still has a problem and should they cover the cost of diagnostic problem
Blower motor resistor wiring he's up to a point where the wire melts could cause a fire the wire is crispy burnt had it replaced and had you have it replaced the next 2 years cuz it does the same every year
Door handle mechanism made of plastic and breaks, preventing the locking and opening of door from the inside. The inability to leave your car without opening the door from the outside poses a serious safety risk to the driver and passenger in the need to exit a car quickly during emergency situations. This is a common occurrence from the self-repair videos I found online, and the method of failure and the symptoms of failure seem to be the same. My failure occurred when trying to pull the handle quickly breaks the plastic latch inside the mechanism and prevents the door from opening upon pulling the handle.
I got this 2011 Ford fusion in 2020. The car runs good, but after a couple stops or when I'm slowing down the car turns off and my battery drains. I've replaced the battery, alternator, new shifter, I've taken it to mechanics and they can't figure out the problem, the car still turns off. Please help
While driving at freeway speed, my 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid suddenly shutdown before I could pull over safely exposing me to extreme harm from other cars. I was unable to drive it home, as it no longer would safely function sufficient to get me home. Additionally, the airbag recall should have been remedied by now, Ford's response has not been timely.
On several occasions my teenage daughter has had her life put in danger by this mfg defect when the Ford Fusion suddenly flashes a red wrench warning sign and decelerates to a snail’s crawl in the middle of an interstate highway. This happens frequently on hotter days when the car has been run for over an hour. It is unacceptable, dangerous and sad that there’s been no required safety recall by Ford to fix this problem. A simple search online shows this to be happening repeatedly.
It started in January 2022 riding down the road, and the front left tire blew out. While replacing the tire is when the first, of more than a dozen lug nuts / studs/bolts broke off. This would make the car make a weird noise causing the tires to make a weird noise and it be the wheel wobbling. When you’d get up to 45mph or so it would cause the whole to shake and make a noise as well. I went to B&B Tire to have front pads, all rotors and a master cylinder replaced. They said 40% was left on pads and rotors. Also that the used master cylinder wasn’t any good? So, none of the maintenance seemed to resolve the brakes. They were kinda of stumped ?The lug nuts/ studs/ bolts all the way around have either had to be replaced, or sporadically came loose, broke off on there own. It as if the wheels/ lug nuts/ studs/ bolts and brakes are a combination of issues working against each other. We are riding with every tire missing at least one of the three. Some tires are missing more. No, we realized something wasn’t right with the wheels/ lug nuts/ studs/ bolts/ brakes with the first front left tire blew out. Now the back right wheel is giving us trouble. The front left only has 3 lug nuts/ studs/ bolts holding it on. I have photos of the ones that had to be replaced, and what’s on the wheels at this point. The tire pressure light stays on. Whether you just put right amount of air in each on or not. The front left tire was the beginning of everything. I’ve found a tire weight that fell off in my driveway. I called in and filed a complaint via telephone. The photos in this complaint all apply to the ODI# below. Went to go start my vehicle one morning to take my kids to school and a message popped up on my dash stating "Power Steering Asst. Fault". So, I turn my vehicle off and on a couple of times (no more than 3 times) and got the same message. The steering wheel was hard to turn and it has come to my conclusion that my electric power steering went out which is making it hard to turn my steering wheel, and yes, my vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The safety of my kids and myself was put at risk because its hard trying to drive a vehicle without power steering. I'm scheduled to have my vehicle inspected Tuesday December 7, 2021 at my local Ford dealer. This occurred about 2 months ago, but every time I turned my vehicle off then back on the steering worked.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while his wife was starting the vehicle, the power steering assist failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was 3 months past the deadline for the steering recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000. The VIN was unavailable.
STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS DRIVING AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO STEER THE CAR I HAD TO PULL OVER AND STOP. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR THE STEERING WAS WORKING. I WAS VERY HESITANT TO DRIVE THE CAR, MY HUSBAND DROVE THE THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALER AND WE WERE INFORMED DURING THE INSPECTION THE STEERING GEAR WAS FAILING INTERNALY AND THEY RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT. APPARENTLY, I AM 5 MONTHS OUT OF THE 15N01 SAFETY RECALL. I AM WONDERING WHY SUCH A DANGEROUS SAFETY RECALL WOULD HAVE A TIME LIMIT? MY FORD FUSION CAME FROM THE HERMOSILLO ASSEMBLY PLANT DURING THE 9-7-2010 THRU 2-28-2012. I MISSED RECALL DUE TO THE 10 YEARS OF WARRANTY START DATE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A RECALL THAT SHOULD NOT EXPIRE. I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF FORD FUSION WITH SAME COMPLAINT. IF FORD WAS ABLE TO NARROW DOWN THE CARS AND THE PLANTS THEY CAME FROM, I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX THEM REGARDLESS OF MILAGE OR EXPIRATION OF RECALL. THEY STILL POSE A RISK OF HARM OR FATALITY DUE TO ACCIDENTS.
I went to work the day my power steering went out it was driving fine that day I got home and parked in the driveway the next day I get in started up and when I put it reverse to back up I noticed that my power steering was not working I need to know if the recall on the power steering system is still in affect
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at 80 mph, the advance track and "Service power steering soon" warning lights and messages were illuminated. The steering wheel inadvertently jerked out of the contact's hands 5 - 6 times. The contact pulled over and disconnected the fuse from the power steering assist module. The contact was able to drive to his residence without a power steering assist. The contact self-diagnosed the vehicle with a code reader that there was no communication to the power steering assist, and that the StabiliTrak wheel speed sensor on the front passenger’s side was faulty. The contact replaced the front passenger’s side wheel speed sensor. However, after the replacement, all the wheel speed sensors appeared faulty on the code reader. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer for the repair but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 103,945.
Was driving and power steering and advance trac said it need to be serviced and went out automatically became harder to steer
I let my 16 year old daughter use my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL. Last Thursday she and my 15 year old daughter were leaving school and suddenly she could not steer. They were both very frightened. There was an error message Power Steering Assist Fault. I came to the school, let them drive my SUV home, and although I have driven many vehicles over the years without power steering it was very difficult to drive. I understand there was a recall in 2015 for this issue but not for Fusions with 3.5 L engines. Why? There have been many complaints and it's only a matter of time before someone gets killed. Please recall this. I can not afford to have this fixed and I don't want to sell a deadly car.
I’ve had this car for about four years and since I’ve gotten it once in a while I will have a power steering failure where the steering wheel becomes very hard to Turn and very dangerous to drive. Are usually will turn the car on and then turn it off and turn it back on and it goes away. I’ve also have taken it to the dealership and they said they cannot do anything about it there’s no recall on it. Right now the car is undrivable because the power steering is not functioning properly
I have safety concern with my vehicle, because if I am driving there’s a triangle shape light that pops up and when it happened it automatically reduces the speed of the car and sometimes shuts it off while other drivers are driving behind me. This happens to me frequently and the most recent was yesterday 8/9/2021 at a traffic light the vehicle completely shuts off and this is very concerning with my safety and that of my family and I don’t know the problem and how to get it fix. I WAS DRIVING DOWN WALKER ROAD GOING ONTO DAY HOLLOW AND WHEN I GOT TO THE INTERSECTION THERE WAS NO STOP SIGN INDICATING TO STOP, WHEN I GOT THERE THE OTHER SIDE HAD NO STOP SIGN EITHER AND WHEN I CAME TO A STOP A CAR FLEW BY AS WE BOTH HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY, I HAVE DASH CAM VIDEO AND IF YOU DON'T FIX IT SOMEONE'S GONNA DIE RIGHT THERE. NOTHING ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO MY CAR.
RECALL CODE P0456 WAS REPAIRED BY DEALER. SENT BACK TO DEALER TO BE TOLD THEY GAVE ME A FAULTY PART. CODE COMES BACK ON, SO I SENT CAR TO DIFFERENT DEALER FOR REPAIR. IT WAS REPAIRED BUT NOW CODE CANE BACK ON FOR THE 3RD TIME NOW. CODE IS ON NOW AFTER REPAIRED A WEEK AGO. I WAS NOT GIVEN A LOANER CAR AND THEY HAD MY CAR FOR A WEEK. I DO NOT WANT TO KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH DUE TO A RECALL
WHEN MY WIFE GOT IN HER CAR TO GO TO WORK, THE DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH. WHEN PUSHING THE DOOR ALL THE WAY TO THE CLOSED POSITION IT APPEARED AS IF IT WAS SHUT, BUT THERE WAS NEVER ANY FORCE HOLDING THE DOOR IN PLACE. WE MANAGED TO GET THE DOOR TO APPEAR CLOSED BY ME PUSHING IT SHUT AND HER HITTING THE LOCK BUTTON FROM THE INSIDE. AT THIS POINT, IF SHE ONLY PUSHED OUT A LITTLE BIT ON THE DOOR, IT SEEMED THE LATCH WOULD HOLD. HOWEVER, SHE TOLD ME IT FLUNG OPEN WHEN SHE MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN TO DROP IT OFF AT THE MECHANIC'S. THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE HAS A NEVER BEEN ANY PROBLEM WITH THE LATCH OF THE DRIVER DOOR. THIS VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN WE DISCOVERED THE ISSUE.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, DRIVING TO WORK IN RAIN AND WET ROAD CONDITIONS. DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW THE VEHICLE AS IT WAS TRAVELING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION WITH A PUDDLE ON THE ROADWAY. I FELT THE ABS ENGAGE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSATE. THE BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE FELT FIRM PRIOR TO THE ABS ENGAGING. VEHICLE CONTINUED TO REMAIN IN MOTION WHEN I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AGAIN TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. THIS TIME THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SOFT AND TRAVELED TO THE FLOOR BOARD BEFORE THE BRAKES BEGAN TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLES STOPPING DISTANCE INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO WORK AND HOME, BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL CONTINUED TO REMAIN SOFT AND DID NOT ENGAGE BRAKES UNTIL REACHING THE FLOOR. I CHECKED FOR OBVIOUS LEAKS AROUND THE BRAKE CALIBERS, WITH NONE NOTED, AND THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WAS AT THE FULL LEVEL IN THE FLUID RESERVOIR. THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS OF EXTERNAL LEAKING AROUND THE MASTER CYLINDER. I HAVE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS, ABS OR OTHERS, ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE BRAKES BECAME SOFT AND LESS RESPONSIVE. ORIGINALLY SUSPECTED A MASTER CYLINDER FAILURE, BUT NOW SUSPECT A ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT OR MODULE AFTER READING ABOUT SIMILAR FAULT CONDITIONS ON THE INTERNET. THE VEHICLES BRAKE FLUID WAS SERVICED BY FIRESTONE ABOUT 45 DAYS PRIOR TO THIS FAULT OCCURRING. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS FAULT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WARNING OF IMPENDING FAILURE AND THE LACK OF A WARNING LIGHT INDICATION WITH THE FAULT STILL PRESENT IS ALSO TROUBLING. I WAS ABLE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AT THE TIME IT HAD OCCURRED AND WAS ABLE TO REDUCE MY SPEED AND INCREASE MY FOLLOWING DISTANCE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE.
2011 FORD FUSION OWNER: POSSIBLE WELD ISSUES ON THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS CAUSING THE NOISE CONCERNS AND REQUIRE REPAIR FOR THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS FROM MANUFACTURER. IT MAY BE THE JOUNCE BUMPER RUBBING AGAINST DRY STRUT PLATE CAUSING AN ABRASION NOISE FROM THE STRUT AREA - BIG ASSUMPTION HERE. NOISE HAPPENS IN WARMER MONTHS OVER 50 DEGREES AND GETS QUIET ON COLDER DAYS. IT ALSO GET QUIETER DRIVING OVER 60 MPH. WHATEVER IT IS, THE SWOLLEN PARTS ARE EXTREMELY NOISY, EXTREMELY, AND CONCERNING. FROM RESEARCH, THIS ISSUE MAYBE HAPPENING TO 2006-2015 FORD FUSION VEHICLES. DRIVER'S DOOR DOES NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE. AND POWER LOCK IS STACKED IIN LOCK POSITION. THERE IS A RECALL EXACTLY FOR THIS PURPOSE ON 2013-2017 FUSION WITH THE SAME SYSTEM THAN IN MY 2011 FUSION.

MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN RECALL MODEL/YEAR. THE INTERNET IS FLOODED WITH SAME COMPLAINT PROBLEM OF FORD FUSION 2009 2010 AND 2011. PLEASE MY VIN CAR TO RECALL. DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE IT WAS LIKE THE DOOR HANDLE HAD BROKEN ON THE INSIDE. IN ORDER TO OPEN THE DOOR I HAVE TO PRESS MY UNLOCK BUTTON AND PULL THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE MULTIPLE TIMES.

IF YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOUR VEHICLE THE RESULTS COULD BE FATAL. I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THE DOOR HANDLE PROBLEM IS PREVALENT WITH 2006-2012 FUSIONS, AS EVIDENT BY THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS. THERE IS EVEN A WORK AROUND TRICK POSTED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE AUTONATION FORD WESTLAKE DEALERSHIP QUOTED $212.59 TO REPAIR MY HANDLE. MY INTAKE REPRESENTATIVE QUOTED THE COST OF REPAIR WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING IT UP BECAUSE HE'S PROCESSED SO MANY, MANY REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER SHOULD VOLUNTARILY ISSUE A RECALL AND REPAIR THE CAR
ABS MODULE BRAKE PATTLE GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN FORD KNOWS ABOUT IT BUT WON'T RECALL IT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THEY WON'T US TOO PAY CLOSE TO 1000 DOLLARS TO FIX IT AN THEY KNEW ABOUT IT I AM LOOKING TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION ALMOST GOT IN A REAR END COLLISION IT WAS IN SAN MARCOS TEXAS 8-15-2018
DRIVER'S SIDE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE STOPPED WORKING. CANNOT GET OUT USING THE DRIVERS DOOR. MUST CLIMB OUT PASSENGER'S SIDE OR ROLL DOWN WINDOW AND OPEN FROM OUTSIDE. APPARENTLY THIS IS A VERY VERY COMMON PROBLEM. WHY NO RECALL? THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE.
MY WIFE UPON RETURNING HOME COULD NOT OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR. I HAD TO OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. I LATER READ THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND ONE TEMPORARY SOLUTION IS TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I ALSO HAVE READ THAT 2010, 2013 AND 2014 FORD FUSIONS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT 2011. I HAVE HOWEVER FOUND THAT A NUMBER OF OWNERS OF 2011 FUSIONS HAVE ALSO HAD THIS PROBLEM. OF COURSE THE CAR WAS OUT OF GEAR, TURNED OFF, AND STATIONARY.
REPORTED 04/15/17 NHTSA ID # 10978640 DRIVER SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKEN. I PAID $209.42 AT FORD DEALER TO ORDER AND REPLACE. THE REPLACED DOOR HANDLE BROKE AGAIN ON 02/24/18, NOT EVEN 1 YEAR LATER. RETURNED TO DEALER, ADVISED THAT PART # 6E5Z*5422601*A IS NOW IN STOCK DUE TO MULTIPLE REPLACEMENTS PERFORMED AT DEALERSHIP. SINCE THERE IS A 2 YEAR WARRANTY ON PART, THE REPLACEMENT WAS NO CHARGE HOWEVER WOULD LIKE NHTSA TO INVESTIGATE QUALITY OF PART BEING INSTALLED.
ENGINE LIGHT ON, DROVE TO FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS ADVISED DUE TO WORK LOAD THEY COULD NOT PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SCAN AND TO RETURN ON MONDAY. DROVE TO PRIVATE SERVICE MECHANIC, RAN DIAGNOSTIC, REPORT SCAN CODE P1450 UNABLE TO BLEED UP TANK. REPLACED PURGE VALVE AND MESSAGE DID NOT REAPPEAR. I WAS LATER INFORMED THERE WAS A FORD SAFETY RECALL 15S34 WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED THAT WAS ISSUED. I PAID $223.70 FOR REPAIR WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN FREE AT FORD DEALER HAD I RECEIVED NOTICE.
DRIVER DOOR INSIDE HANDLE INOPERATIVE. UNABLE TO EXIT VEHICLE WITHOUT OPENING DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND OPENING DOOR. THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED TO MY 2008 FUSION. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD AND NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HEARD A LOUD STARTLING EXPLOSION SOUND. THE SOUND SCARED ME AND CAUSING ME TO SWERVE. I PULLED OFF ON THE SHOULDER AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS MY SUNROOF GLASS THAT LITERALLY EXLODE. THE GLASS WAS SHATTERED AND PUSHED UP A BIT. THE SUNROOF WAS NOT ENGAGED OR BEING USED AT THE TIME. I HAD JUST LEFT WORK AND WAS ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY. THANK GOODNESS THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS AROUND WHEN I SWEREVED. THE FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY WON'T FIX IT. SURPRISING TO ME BEING IT'S A FORD VEHICLE. I HAVE AN APPT. WITH A BODY SHOP TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIX IT.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, IT SHUTS OFF. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, LOSS OF EVERYTHING. TURNED OFF IGNITION AND RESTARTED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY WHEN I NOTICED A ODOR FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE IT GOT WORSE, ONCE I PULLED OVER TO CHECK IT AND LET THE WINDOWS DOWN THE ODER GOT STRONGER. I'VE HAD THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT DIDN'T THINK IT WAS MY CAR.
MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH BROKE, NOT ALLOWING ME TO EXIT THE CAR UNLESS YOU PUT THE WINDOW DOWN PRIOR TO TURNING OFF THE CAR. I HAD IT REPAIRED UNDER MY EXTENED WARRENTY HAWEVER THAT WOULD HAVE COST 126. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FRONT END ISSUES THAT HAVE HAD MY 2011 FORD FUSION IN THE SHOP 6 TIMES FOR THE FRONT END ALLIGNMENT PROBLEMS IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS REPAIRED AND IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO, AGAIN I'M IN NEED OF A FRONT END ALIGNMENT THE FRONT TOE IS OUT AGAIN. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY HELP GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THESE ALIGNMENT ISSUES.
DRIVER'S SIDE INTERIOR DOOR LATCH FAILED. CANNOT EXIT VEHICLE WITHOUT ROLLING DOWN DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND OPENING EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE.
2011 FORD FUSION DRIVER SIDE DOOR WONT OPEN FROM INSIDE WHEN STATIONARY ON 7/24/2017 OUT OF NOWHERE THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE I HAVE LOOKED UP THIS COMPLAINT AND MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL CAR. FORD DID A RECALL FOR 2010 AND 2013-2014 MODELS BUT NOT FOR THE 2011 MODELS. WHEN YOU GO PULL THE DOOR HANDLE THE DOOR DOESN'T OPEN AND I HAVE TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON 7/26/2017 TO GET FIXED AND THE PERSON THAT HELPED SAID THEY HAVE SEEN THIS MULTIPLE OTHER TIMES WITH THE SAME MODEL VEHICLE. WHY HAS THIS ISSUE NOT BEEN LOOKED INTO? I'M REQUESTING A REFUND OF THE AMOUNT OF THE BILL WHICH WAS $257 DOLLARS, IF I NEED TO PROVIDED ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PLEASE EMAIL ME.
THE LATCH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT FUNCTION, CAUSING THE DOOR TO FLY OPEN WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. EVEN WHEN CLOSED AND LOCKED, WHEN YOU OPEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, THE DOOR UNLOCKS AN DOOR OPENS. IT IS CURRENTLY AT FORD TO BE FIXED. THERE HAS BEEN PREVIOUS RECALLS ON THE 2013 FUSION, AND THIS CAR IS NOT LISTED AS A RECALL??? SEEMS LIKE THE SAME PROBLEM TO ME, AND IT IS COSTLY TO FIX! CURRENTLY AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN DELAWARE.
MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN WHERE I NEED TO GET OUT OF THE CAR FAST SUCH AS A FIRE OR ANYTHING I CANT DO SO. MY CAR WAS PARKED. I GOT OUT & WHEN I TRIED TO GET BACK IN I COULDN'T. I HAD TO CRAWL FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, BUT IT WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE.
AUTO WAS STOLEN FROM EMPLOYERS' PARKING LOT. REPORTED WITHIN THE PROXIMITY LOCATION ASSOCIATED WITH A DEATH INVESTIGATION. LOCATED AUTO ONLINE-RETURNED BY EMPLOYEE OF THE FACILITY. HOWEVER IT WAS DEVALUED. MUST EXPLAIN WHY AND/OR CORRECT THE ERROR. INSURANCE ISSUE MUST B ADDRESSED. NO REASON FOR THE LISTING. LASTED LONG AFTER PAYOFF & QUITE FRANKLY SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN TAG IN SUCH A MANNER .
DOOR HANDLES DO NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE AT ALL. THE ONLY WAY OUT IS TO ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN AND OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, OTHER FORD MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. IT IS ALL THE TIME, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU'RE PARKED OR DRIVING THE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL FROM THE INSIDE.
CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND PARKED IN DRIVEWAY WHEN I REALIZED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. THE INSIDE HANDLE WAS INOPERABLE AND TO EXIT THE VEHICLE I HAD TO CLIMB ACROSS CONSOLE AND PASSENGER SEAT. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN TO FORD DEALER WHERE MECHANIC VERIFIED AFTER REMOVING INTERIOR DOOR PANEL THE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY WAS CRACKED. THE REPAIR COST WITHOUT TAX WAS $209.42 WHICH INCLUDED PART #6E5Z*5422601*A @ $61.07 AND LABOR @ $139.95. WHILE WAITING FOR MY REPAIR ANOTHER CUSTOMER BOUGHT THEIR NEW FORD FUSION IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE WHICH LED ME TO QUESTION SERVICE ADVISOR AND SALES MANAGER WHO BOTH ADVISED THERE WERE NO RECALL ISSUE WITH INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES.
BOTH FRONT SEAT, INTERNAL DOOR LATCHES HAVE BROKEN. THE DRIVER'S SIDE WENT FIRST, FOLLOWED BY THE PASSENGER SIDE, BOTH RECEIVED ONLY NORMAL USE. NOW, TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE WINDOW MUST BE ROLLED DOWN AND THE DOOR OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE LATCH, OR A TWO-HAND TECHNIQUE CAN BE LEARNED TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS PREVENTS SPEEDY EGRESS IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY SITUATION I.E. FLOODS, FIRES, ETC. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 72863 MILES BUT THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED MORE THAN A YEAR OR TWO AGO.
WHEN I PUT FUEL IN MY CAR IT STARTS TO ACT JANKY NOT WANTING TO START OR ANYTHING , ALSO IT'S SHOWING A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE
MY 2011 FORD FUSION HAD A SAFETY MALFUNCTION RECENTLY WHERE THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE BECAME INOPERABLE. THE SAME PART THAT HAS MALFUNCTIONED AND KEEPING ME FROM SAFELY EXITING MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED ON VARIOUS FORD MODELS AND HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED FOR THE ONE I OWN ALTHOUGH IT HAS THE SAME PART. ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIR WILL BE ROUGHLY $100 INCLUDING LABOR AND FORD HAS REFUSED TO COVER THE COST OF REPAIR PER FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD AND WAS GIVEN THE REFERENCE NUMBER CAS11929128. I WOULD LIKE A SOLUTION SOON AS I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE THE FINDS FOR THE REPAIR.
MY DOOR LATCH BROKE ON THE CAR. MY TEENAGER GOT IN THE CAR AND THE DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE. I COULDN'T RIDE HOME WITH IT IN THAT CONDITION. I SEE IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORDS, BUT MY YEAR OF FUSION IS NOT ON ANY RECALL LIST. IT DEFINITELY SHOULD BE BECAUSE THAT IS A VERY REAL SAFETY ISSUE.
THE DRIVERS SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR DOES NOT WORK. I KNOW 2 OTHER CARS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IT JUST GOES OUT. I NOTICE THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2012 FORD FUSIONS NOT 2011. MY FORD FUSION WAS PARKED AND I SUDDENLY AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. I HAVE TO LOWER THE WINDOW ALL THE WAY AND STICK MY ARM OUT TO OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. MY WINDOWS ARE ELECTRONIC AND FREEZE SHUT IN THE WINTER (MN RESIDENT) MAKING ME UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AT ALL FROM THE INSIDE. I WILL BE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF MY VEHICLE IN THE WINTER AND COULD BE TRAPPED IN AN ACCIDENT OR VEHICLE FIRE AND UNABLE TO GET OUT AND HELP MY CHILDREN.

TAKATA RECALL MY 2011 FORD FUSION HAS BEEN THE WORSE THIS WEEK. I WAS TAKING A ROAD TRIP TO PICK UP MY NIECE FROM BASIC TRAINING GRADUATION, I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY INTERSTATE GOING ABOUT 70MPH, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR DECELERATE WHILE I WAS IN THE FAST LANE, THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. THE TROUBLE I HAD TRYING TO MOVE MY CAR OVER 3 LANES WAS VERY LIFE THREATENING!! I THANK GOD NOTHING HAPPENED, BUT I WAS SO CLOSE TO GETTING HIT SEVERAL TIMES, I WAS IN TEARS!! THE ONLY THING I COULD DO WAS TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART IT, THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. ON MY 10 HOUR ADVENTURE THAT DAY, THIS HAPPENED 8 DIFFERENT TIMES. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE IS WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. THIS IS PATHETIC OF FORD TO NOT GET THIS FIXED!
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN DRIVER'S DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. TOOK IT TO MY FORD DEALER. THEY FOUND A BROKEN INNER DOOR HANDLE. I WAS PARKED WHEN THAT HAPPENED. IT COST ME $217.83 TO GET IT REPAIRED. ISN'T THIS A RECALL? IF NOT, IT SHOULD BE!
HEARING SQUEAKS AND CREAKS WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS AND TURNING. SINCE STANDARD BALL JOINTS ARE NOT USED IN TIS MODEL MIGHT BE THE 4 LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR.
WENT TO USE CAR REMOTE AND DID NOT WORK, BOUGHT ANOTHER KEY AND WHEN MY SERVICE TRIED TO PROGRAM IT THEY FOUND OUT THE 15604 F MODULE WAS BAD. THEY CALL FORD AND FORD TOLD THEM IT IS BACK ORDER ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. IF THEY ARE REPLACING THIS MANY MODULE THEN FORD HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PART.
THE HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING FAN OVERHEATED AND MELTED. FAN WOULD START AND STOP INTERMITTENTLY AND THEN QUIT WORKING. WHOLE UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED.
I BOUGHT THE 2011 FORD FUSION NEW. ON LAST YEAR THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT STAY UP. IT WAS REPAIRED FOR ABOUT $350. ONE YEAR LATER THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE STOPPED WORKING. I CAN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR UNLESS I ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN OR CRAWL TO THE PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD JUST ARRIVED AT WORK AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF. I PULLED ON THE HANDLE AND THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN.
THIS MORNING WHEN I GOT TO WORK I WENT TO GET OUT OF MY CAR. I TURNED IT OFF AND OPENED THE DOOR BUT THE DOOR WOULD ONLY PARTLY OPEN AND WOULD NOT LET ME OUT. I HAVE TO NOW ROLL DOWN MY WINDOW TO LET MYSELF OUT. I LOOK COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS AND THIS SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN A COMMON PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE EXTENDING THE MANUFACTURING WARRANTY ONE. LET ALONE LAST WEEK M Y THROTTLE WENT AND I AM REPLACING THAT ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!! COUPLE MONTHS AGO THE ROOF INSIDE THE CAR ALSO STARTED TO FALL DOWN! THIS IS JUST PURE INSANE I AM FED UP WITH THIS CAR I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE IT AGAIN!!! I DON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF MONEY TO KEEP REPAIRING A CAR.

I AM NOT ROUGH ON MY DOOR HANDLES BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF PLASTIC AND I DON'T WANT TO BREAK THEM, BUT BOTH DOORS WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF EACH OTHER STOPPED WORKING FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM TO FORD THERE ARE ACTIVE RECALLS OUT ON OTHER FORD VEHICLES FOR THE SAME THING, BUT MY CAR ISN'T LISTED AS ONE OF THE RECALLS. THIS MATTER SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER AND THE RECALL SHOULD INCLUDE ALL FORD DOOR HANDLES. WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF MY PASSENGERS SIDE DOOR WOULD HAVE OPENED WHILE DRIVING?
10/01/2014 TURNING INTO MY SCHOOL PARKING LOT AND SUDDENLY A LIGHT CAME ON, POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING AND 'POWER STEER FAILURE" STARTED FLASHING IN MY DASH. WAS ABLE TO COME TO A STOP AND TURN OFF MY CAR SAFELY. IT RESET ITSELF WHEN I RESTARTED IT. 10/3/2014 SECOND TIME, GOING 55 MPH DOWN A HIGHWAY, SAME THING HAPPENED. WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER TO KILL CAR. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO STEER ENOUGH TO PULL OVER. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AND NEEDED TO MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN I PROCEEDED TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURN BUT AS SOON AS I DID MY CAR LOST POWER AND A CAR TURNING BEHIND ME ALMOST RAN INTO THE BACK OF ME. I PULLED OVER PUT MY FLASHERS ON AND TURNED THE CAR OFF, I LET THE CAR SIT FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES BEFORE STARTING IT AGAIN. I GOT IT STARTED AND PUT IT IN DRIVE BUT AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL SO I PUT IT BACK INTO PARK TURND THE CAR OFF AND TRIED AGAIN ONLY THIS TIME WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL NOTHING HAPPENED. I EVENTUALLY GOT THE CAR BACK TO MY HOUSE. I WENT TO TRY DRIVING THE CAR TODAY (8/30/13) AND THE CAR DID THE EXACT SAME THING WHILE I WAS DRIVING, IT JUST LOST ALL POWER. I FEEL THAT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND FROM WHAT I READ ONLINE THIS IS HAPPENING A LOT.

EVERY TIME THE CAR REACHES 45 MPH, THERE IS A RINGING WHICH SOUNDS JUST LIKE A TELEPHONE RING. IT IS LOUD ENOUGH THAT EVEN PASSENGERS CAN HEAR IT. THE ONLY TIME IT HAPPENS IS AT 45 MPH, AND IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME THAT SPEED IS MET. *TT WE HAVE HAD IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP TWICE AND WE ARE ALWAYS TOLD "NOTHING HAS REGISTERED ON THE COMPUTER, AND UNLESS IT REGISTERS ON THE COMPUTER, WE CAN NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM". NOW, THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND BOTH TIMES IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS IN WARRANTY. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR DIRECTLY AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE AND DIRECTED ME HERE TO REGISTER THE COMPLAINT.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-275 IN FLORIDA WHEN MY 2011FORD FUSION COMPLETELY LOSS POWER. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY POWERED DOWN AND I WAS IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC THIS WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.
AS I PULLED INTO A DIAGONAL PARKING SPACE AT MY CVS DRUG STORE, TURNING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED OR APPROXIMATELY 1 OR 2 MPH, STEPPING ON THE BRAKE TO COMPLETE THE ROUTINE ACT OF PARKING, THERE WAS A SUDDEN SURGE OF ACCELERATION. THIS WAS NOT OF MY OWN VOLITION! THE ESTIMATED DAMAGE TO MY CAR IS $5,000 WHILE DAMAGED TO THE OTHER CAR WAS MINOR. RECENTLY THERE WAS AN ARTICLE IN THE L.A. TIMES ABOUT A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR EXACTLY THIS TYPE OF SURGE ACCELERATION OR "FLARING" AND SINCE IT'S LIKELY MY CAR WAS ACTUALLY BUILT IN 2010 IT'S PROBABLY THE SAME SITUATION.
LOST RPMS WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 65MPH. UNABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING, CAR WAS ONLY ABLE TO CRAWL AT ABOUT 3MPH. REQUIRED THROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT.
