Your Subaru has two active safety recalls: one for brake lights and another for engine stalling caused by intake valve cracks. You've contacted two dealers about getting these recalls fixed, but they've told you there's a month-long wait — and when you followed up, they said it would be another month. The recall work will involve the dealers inspecting and repairing the brake light system and replacing or repairing the intake valves in your engine.

Your engine is burning or leaking oil at an unusually high rate — you need to add a quart every 1,000 miles. The dealership acknowledged the problem and offered to run an oil consumption test, but didn't perform any repairs. At this rate, you're losing oil constantly and should have the engine inspected to find where it's going.
