2015 Nissan Altima Electrical Problems

Got hit in a magor accident airbags did not deploy on side or driver front or side and lighting on automatic handle lights wetw out reverse drive the lettets on handle think there wad a defect

Involved in +$6,000 not at fault front end crash on 9/29/2021 in Tampa Florida. Aggravated previous knee problems. Vehicle is currently at Caliper Collision in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Airbag sensor warning lamp is on. Has happened in the past as well but Nissan fixed it since there was a recall.

My back break lights keep burning out and the casing looks like it's burned now. Could it catch fire?

2015 altima has incurred two separate water leak issues within two months. First, diagnosed as clogged AC drain. This required complete replacement of carpet.

My car caught fire and was totaled. I had been smelling something the day before it caught on fire. I was driving on the city street and I smelled the smell I had been smelling stronger and I looked at the hood and it was smoking.

At very low speed (as in searching for a parking space) the car will accelerate, without warning, and then fall back to an idle. My current 2015 altima is at the body shop now because of an accident (due to this unannounced accelerlation) where my wife ran through a wall at riteaid drugs while attempting to park.

Manufacture date 10/14. Vehicle was serviced after an oil change with filter. Also the cabin air filter was replaced.

Car caught on fire by it self while driving, it was a clear night, I did not hit anything. Just started by its self.

Engine light comes on I get it checked out every time is the same issue saying it's "mass air flow" it's now the 4th time I switch the piece and the car keeps on leaving me stranded now it's lead to a computer problem various mechanics have told me this particular model of year has allot of issues with this I'm not sure why there hasn't been a recall yet

The headlights are extremely dim at night. after replacing them, it is still extremely hard to see at night which caused me to almost hit a person crossing the street

I was on the highway and my car would not accelerate at all, during up hill or flat portions of the highway . This was was super scary because I’m on the highway in Pennsylvania so there’s semi’s flying by. So I pulled off an exit turned the car off waited, unplugged the battery and after a few mins I plugged the battery in and started the car.

My key fob is acting up...incorrect key id,,keeps popping up..I dont understand why this is doing this,,I feel that this is a safety issue because I really am nnot safe when I am stranded because my car will not start

Low beam headlights delaminated so there is not enough light to see safely at night. I replaced the entire headlight units after just replacing the bulbs to see if that would fix it

I am original owner. Twice now in the early morning I have found my trunk automatically opened with out reason. I thought maybe I did it by mistake but I clearly did not after 2nd time.

While driving down the interstate at 70 miles per hour, going up an incline, the car lost ALL power & then jerked kicking back into gear. Once off the interstate attempting to get to a safe place, it completely shut off without warning! No check engine lights or any warning lights.

The gear stick gets stuck when trying to shift gears it wont move from Parking, headlights seem to not give enough lighting when on, I have replaced the transmission after 3years of having the vehicle, I still owe on the loan and the vehicle still shakes when driving over 80mph on the freeway. I dont currently have any warning lights on the vehicle.

Took my car to Nissn dealership for water leak after heavy rain that could effect electrical components. Before they looked at they asked if I had a sunroof and advised it gets clogged easily with this vehicle and thats why I had water getting in my car. This is a known issue with Nissan but they dont address to consumers and.

The hood of my car keeps jamming but has a weird noise at times while in motion. The dealership is no longer in business I'm guessing because no one neither the cars are there. It's an empty lot..

My wife's 2015 altima 2.5 sl has a tremendous water leak on the drivers side filling the cabin with inches of water. This vehicle has been garage kept for the 5yrs, but with the purchase of my new car we know keep the altima in the driveway.

Having intermittent issue with accelerator not funcitioning. From time to time you can step on gas and it will not respond. Other issue is the cruise control will not funcition intermittently.

Vehicle back up monitor will go blank when car is in reverse and backing up. This is an intermittent problem at first but is starting to become a more frequent problem.

The driver's side blind spot warning light constantly goes on & off. It has always done this & dealership cannot find anything wrong. The passenger side has done it in the past but I haven't noticed it lately.

Vehicle gets 28 MPH on highway for long distance travel. Vehicle is advertise to get 36 on highway. Two trips of 9 to 10 hours on highway (non-mountain)shows 28 MPH.

Nissan altima 2015 purchased on 8/15/15 with 6 miles on the engine. On 8/19/15 car was dead without power. Battery was replaced and two days later it started powering off again as the vehicle was warming up, and as I was idle at red lights.

Left headlight not working

My car battery died as I turned off the engine in a parking lot. I was unable to unlock the electronic locks. I was stuck in my car for 20 minutes at 100 degree heat before help arrived and was able to assist.

Head lights, very dim/low visibility. Marker/daytime running light went out. I’ve been having to use high hi beams at nights because my low beams are very dim which can be a safety concern for other drivers as well as not being able to see more than 10 feet in front of me.

Car completely powered off while traveling traveling at 10mph. The engine and battery symbol appeared, car was able to come to a rolling stop. Placed in park and was able to restart with no issues.

I purchased the car nov 2016 and has been occurring since march 2017. Randomly, it will tell you that there is no key when you open the door and the key is inside. It will tell you wrong key when you attempt to turn the car on.

My door latch on the driver side door stopped latching to close the door when letting the window down now door stays open when driving.its not latched the lock isn't catching and door handle to open the door is loose.

Vehicle was stationary. Dash panel displayed key not detected. Car wouldn't start.

I can not see at all with my regular headlights on (low beams)..it is a terrible safety hazard and I drive around with my 3 year old everyday andnight...it's sooo bad and I was shocked to hear that nissan is taking zero responsibility for this...there are so many complaints about this....they should [xxx] do something cause it's very unfair that now I have to pay for [xxx] new headlights and shell out over $600 for [xxx] defected headlights....never ever buying a [xxx] nissan ever again...if they don't eventually (sometime soon) take care of this....& do the right thing by their customers....

Car will not detect key bob all the time or says no key detected or wrong key have tryed several brands of new batteries

Push button start doesn't work due to faulty steering wheel lock system. Car will not start unless I use remote start, open and close door then hit brake.

While driving alone on 03/12/2015 noticed the airbag auxiliary light come on in my new 2015 nissan altima. The altima was serviced for this on 03/18/2015 and the light was reset with the technician stating the passenger side airbag sensor was under recall. Then, while driving on 03/22/2015 the airbag auxiliary light came on once again, also when I was the only occupant in the vehicle.
