Car lost power while trying to make a left turn across traffic. IMA battery charge dropped and no assist was delivered. Oncoming car was able to stop in time, but barely. This has now happened on a number of occasions. Car lost power while climbing a hill in a residential neighborhood (15 MPH) and barely made it to the top. Car lost power while climbing a short steep driveway and could not ascend; had to roll backwards and "force charge" the IMA battery in low gear for 10 minutes, after which I was able to climb the driveway easily. Decided to replace the IMA battery due to obvious malfunction although no codes were being thrown. Problem improved significantly but once again experienced lack of power on steep, low-speed hills and in our driveway. Battery software seems schizophrenic, deciding to charge itself rather than assist when power is needed, such as hills or merging into or across traffic, even when there seems to be ample battery reserve (for example, after swapping out the IMA battery it refused to provide assist on the hill with approximately 40% remaining -- 4 bars -- but will gladly provide assist at 50% + battery charge. Sometimes battery does not charge while braking downhill even though charge is needed. Unpredictable. The sudden loss of power whenever the IMA Assist decides that it *isn't* going to help is extremely dangerous. Honda is aware of this problem but has not offered any solutions outside of 150k / 15 year warranty on the IMA battery, which has lapsed on our 2006. Reluctant to let my young adult daughter drive this car as loss of power while merging or crossing lanes of traffic could result in a serious accident.
CAR OVERHEATED AND CRACKED ENGINE BLOCK ON DRIVE TO WORK THROUGH TOWN. IT WAS A SUDDEN, OVERHEAT AND THE CAR STALLED. THE CAR HAD BEEN SERVICED BY HONDA ~2 MONTHS EARLIER. CAR HAD BEEN REGULARLY MAINTAINED BY HONDA, FOLLOWING SUGGESTED SERVICE SCHEDULE. HONDA KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSED TO REPLACE THE ENGINE BLOCK AS I PURCHASED CAR NEW IN 2006. CAR ONLY HAD 103,000 MILES ON IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE VEHICLE, THE DOORS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WOULD NOT UNLOCK AFTER THE KEY WAS INSERTED. IN ADDITION, THE ALARM SYSTEM DID NOT WORK AND THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SWITCH THE GEAR SHIFTER TO THE PARK POSITION. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300,000.
A KNOWN DEFECT - THE ENGINE BLOCK ON OUR 2006 HONDA CIVIC CRACKED WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. WE'VE OWNED THE CAR FOR LESS THAN 2 YEARS AND WERE NEVER ADVISED THAT THE CIVIC ENGINE BLOCK WAS PRONE TO THIS - OR WE WOULD HAVE NOT PURCHASED THE CAR. EVEN THOUGH HONDA "EXTENDED" THE WARRANTY FOR THIS KNOWN DEFECT, WE ARE OUT OF THE WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIOD - THUS LEFT TO FOOT THE EXPENSE OF REPLACING THE ENGINE ON OUR OWN. MY SON'S SAFETY WAS AT RISK WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL NOT A WARRANTY EXTENSION. SHAME ON HONDA.
I HAVE A CRACK IN MY COOLANT SYSTEM IN THE ENGINE BLOCK ON MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC. IT WAS PART OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY (10-048), BUT I'M PAST THE EXTENDED 10 YEAR WARRANTY. PLEASE HELP!
MY HONDA CIVIC EX 2 DOOR LOOSES POWER THEN SPUTTERS IN OVER DRIVER
HELLO! A VERY WELL-KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 06-09 HONDA CIVIC IS A TENDENCY FOR THE ENGINE BLOCKS TO CRACK. FREQUENTING ONLINE FORUMS AND WEBSITES, IT SEEMS A WIDE RANGE OF PEOPLE ARE AFFECTED FROM LESS THAN 1,000 MILES TO UP TO 200,000 MILES. THAT BEING SAID, IT SEEMS THIS CAR IS A LITERAL TIME BOMB. THERE HAVE BEEN INCIDENTS OF PEOPLE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ONLY TO RAPIDLY LOSE POWER TO ALL SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THE BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS IS A PROFOUND SAFETY HAZARD, NOT ONLY TO THE DRIVER, BUT OTHER DRIVERS AS WELL! THAT BEING SAID, HONDA ADMITTED THAT THE TENDENCY FOR BLOCKS TO CRACK WAS DUE A FAULTY CASTING PROCESS. THEY HAD ISSUES AN INITIAL 8 YEAR WARRANTY AND INCREASED THAT TO 10 YEARS. AS OF LATE, MANY CURRENT OWNERS HAVE STILL HAD THEIR BLOCKS CRACKED. ONLY THIS TIME, HONDA IS REFUSING TO FIX THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT. AS SUCH, I WANTED TO BRING ATTENTION TO THIS ISSUE AND HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO ALLEVIATE THIS MATTER. A CAR'S BLOCK UNDER NORMAL MAINTENANCE AND USE SHOULD NEVER CATASTROPHICALLY FAIL, LET ALONE RISK PEOPLE'S LIVES! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, SHE HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 112,000. UPDATED 11/13/13*LJ
WITHIN THE LAST MONTH, OUR 2006 HONDA CIVIC ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WITH TWO DIFFERENT DRIVERS, WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS PLACED INTO REVERSE WHEN BACKING FROM A DRIVEWAY, DID NOT COME TO A STOP. DESPITE PUTTING OUR FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE, THE CAR DID NOT STOP AND CONTINUED IN REVERSE. ONLY BY PUTTING THE TRANSMISSION INTO DRIVE DID THE CAR STOP FROM CONTINUING INTO REVERSE. ON AUGUST 30, THE CAR WHEN PLACED INTO REVERSE GEAR WHEN BACKING FROM A PARKING SPACE, WENT FORWARD INSTEAD. OUR CAR HAS BEEN REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND SERVICED AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE PRIOR TO THIS. WE ARE DEEPLY CONCERNED THAT THE CAR POSES A SAFETY ISSUE, BECAUSE WHEN MOVING FROM A PARKED POSITION, MOVES IN A DIRECTION OTHER THAN THE ONE THAT THE DRIVER CHOOSES, AND DID NOT STOP WHEN MOVING IN REVERSE. THIS HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES TO DATE WITHIN THE MONTH WITH TWO DIFFERENT DRIVERS. *JS
I WENT TO THE STORE WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD AND ON THE WAY HOME I WAS AT AN INTERSECTION AT A STOP SIGN AND I STARTED TO GO LEFT AND MY CAR BUCKED AND STARTED MAKING GRINDING SOUNDS VERY LOUD. IT WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE AND I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THE CAR ROLLED BACK. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND PUT MY E BRAKE ON. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. THE GUY WHO TOWED MY CAR SAID THE AXLE BROKE. HE SAID IT MUST HAVE BEEN GOING FOR SOME TIME NOW. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR ON 2/22/13. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. *TR
CAR HAS HAD SEVERAL INCIDENTS OF THE THIRD GEAR POPPING OUT OR GRINDING WHILE ENGAGING. IT IS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC SI. CONTACTED DEALER ABOUT THE ISSUE AND EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN OUT FROM HONDA SAYING IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE, THEY WANTED $1,500 DOLLARS TO REPAIR IT. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS IT IS A DANGER WHILE DRIVING TO HAVE YOUR CAR NOT PROPERLY ENGAGE THE GEARS AND A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH TELLS ME THERE ARE THOUSANDS MORE WITH THE SAME ISSUE AS ME. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT ONLY AN IMMEDIATE ISSUE WHILE DRIVING BUT WILL LEAD TO FASTER CLUTCH WEAR WHICH COULD PUT THE TIMING OF REPAIRS OFF OF A NORMAL SCHEDULE AND A CLUTCH FAILURE WHILE DRIVING COULD BE FATAL. *TR
HAD THE 3RD GEAR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM FIXED AT 45,000 MILES AND SINCE THEN IT HAS ALWAYS DRIVEN DIFFERENT. KEPT GOING BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. NOW AT 87,000 IT GOT TAKEN IN TO GET THE FRONT FENDERS AND HOOD RE-PAINTED BECAUSE OF THE FAULTY MANUFACTURER PAINT. THE CAR STARTED CLICKING BEFORE I TOOK IT IN AND WHEN PRESSING THE CLUTCH NOISE WOULD GO AWAY. THEY DID AN ESTIMATE FOR MY THROWOUT BEARING AND THE NEXT DAY THEY CALLED ME SAYING THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE AT ALL, THAT I NEED IT A NEW TRANSMISSION. NOW THE DEALERSHIP EXPECTS ME TO PAY THEM $4,000 IN TOTAL FOR LABOR AND TO PUT A NEW TRANS IN THE CAR. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AND HAD A FEW COMPLAINTS TOWARDS HONDA. I ALSO HAD THE MOTOR TOP GASKET REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING OIL AND GOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY SINCE IT WAS PART OF A RECALL. *TR
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND ELECTRIC COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE IN 2006 HONDA CIVIC EX. NOTICED CHANGE IN DRIVING FEEL OVER PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS--SHIFTING WAS JERKY, NOT SMOOTH; SEEMED TO REV SLIGHTLY HIGHER AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING. ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON 2-13-13 WHEN STARTING ENGINE. ALSO, GREEN LIGHT NEXT TO "DRIVE" ON THE DASH STARTED BLINKING. TOOK CAR INTO HONDA DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. WAS TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS BURNT, TRANSMISSION HAD HYDRAULIC ISSUES, GEARS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY. NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALLED. HAD ALL PREVIOUS REGULAR MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AT HONDA DEALERSHIP, ON SCHEDULE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THIRD GEAR SYNCROSE WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED TO PAY A PORTION OF THE REPAIR COSTS ALONG WITH THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 66,413.

I WAS DRIVING ON I-635 IN DALLAS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC JUST BEFORE THE HWY 75 EXIT IN THE FAR LEFT LANE. THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT AND CONSTRUCTION AHEAD SO TRAFFIC WAS MOVING VERY SLOW. MY CAR BEGAN TO VIBRATE SLIGHTLY AND THEN INEXPLICABLY STALLED. I PUT IT IN PARK AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO RESTART IT. THE CAR RESTARTED FINE BUT I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE IT OUT OF PARK. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES THE TRAFFIC CLEARED AND WE WERE STUCK AND UNABLE TO MOVE WHILE SITTING IN THE FAST LANE. I WAS PETRIFIED AND CALLED 911. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES I CALLED 911 AGAIN AND EXPLAINED AGAIN THAT WE WERE STOPPED DEAD IN THE FAST LANE OF A FREEWAY AND NEEDED SOMEONE FAST. AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES SEVERAL POLICE OFFICERS, INCLUDING OFFICER REYES, FINALLY ARRIVED AND PARKED BEHIND MY VEHICLE TO SIGNAL CARS TO MOVE OVER. THEY ATTEMPTED TO MOVE MY CAR OUT OF PARK AS WELL BUT WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. THEY CALLED A WRECKER AND MY CAR WAS TOWED TO LUTE RILEY HONDA. ON FEB. 10TH, THE SERVICE MGR AT LUTE RILEY HONDA SAID THE TECHNICIAN FOUND OIL IN THE PCM AND THAT MAY HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE OF THE ISSUE BUT HE WASNT SURE. HE BLAMED THE OIL ON SOMEONE SPILLING OIL DURING AN OIL CHANGE BUT I SAID THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE SINCE I HADNT HAD MY OIL CHANGED IN OVER 30 DAYS. I ASKED IF IT COULD BE RELATED TO THE RECALL ISSUES AND HE SAID NO, ALL THE RECALL ISSUES HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. I DROVE THE CAR BACK TO HOUSTON AND IT WAS FINE UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN IT REPEATED THE SAME ISSUE-THE CAR ENGINE WOULD START BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE OUT OF PARK. IT WAS TOWED TO GILLMAN HONDA, HOUSTON, TX AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A BAD BRAKE SWITCH AND PCM. *TR

THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT THERE WAS NO REPAIR AVAILABLE. THE TECHNICIAN BURNISHED THE START CLUTCH AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID EXPERIENCES FREQUENT, SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER AT RANDOM TIMES DUE TO BATTERY RE-CALIBRATIONS WHICH A) PREVENT ELECTRIC MOTOR ASSIST AND B) USE ENGINE POWER FOR CHARGING RESULTING IN A SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER FOR ACCELERATING FROM STOP, ENTERING FREEWAYS OR CLIMBING HILLS. THE HONDA IMA SYSTEM (INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST) USES AN ELECTRIC MOTOR TO AUGMENT THE SMALL 1.3L ENGINE. BECAUSE THE ELECTRIC MOTOR IS LOCKED OUT DURING BATTERY RECALIBRATIONS, THERE IS A NOTICEABLE 20% LOSS OF POWER FOR ACCELERATION. WHEN THE GASOLINE ENGINE IS ALSO BEING TAXED WITH GENERATING ELECTRIC POWER FOR BATTERY RECALIBRATION, THE TOTAL LOSS OF POWER IS VERY SIGNIFICANT AND RESULTS IN AN ALREADY SLOW CAR (0-60 IN 13.5 SECONDS) BECOMING DANGEROUS WHEN TRYING TO CROSS INTERSECTIONS OR MERGE INTO FREEWAY TRAFFIC. MY RESEARCH SUGGESTS THAT THIS PROBLEM STEMS FROM PREMATURE DEGRADATION OF THE HYBRID BATTERY PACK. *TR
THE INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST SYSTEM FAILS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE FIRST TIME I HAD PARKED THE CAR OVERNIGHT AND THE BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR WAS NEAR THE TOP. WHEN I DROVE TO TOWN IN THE MORNING AND STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT ON A HILL, WHEN I ACCELERATED THERE WAS NO MOTOR ASSIST AND THE CAR WAS VERY UNDERPOWERED. THE BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR SHOWED NO CHARGE. IT DOES CHARGE AGAIN TO NORMAL, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS MAY HAPPEN. I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IN ON A FREEWAY ON RAMP OR TWO LANE ROAD PASSING SITUATION.

THE PROBLEM HAD CONTINUED TO OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE SOFTWARE SYSTEM WAS UPDATED. THE FAILURE BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,381 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SAFETY ISSUED IS THAT IMA BATTERIES LOSE THEIR ABILITY TO HOLD A CHARGE AND THE REPROGRAMMING IMPLEMENTED BY HONDA CAUSES THE ACCELERATION CAPABILITY OF THE VEHICLE TO BECOME EXTREMELY ERRATIC. SOMETIMES, IT WILL ACCELERATE NORMALLY AND SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. UPDATED 03/11/11
SINCE MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID RECEIVED THE BATTERY SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPGRADE IN LATE 2010, THE CAR HAS HAD GREATLY REDUCED AVAILABLE POWER AND ACCELERATION. THE FUEL EFFICIENCY HAS REDUCED BY ~10 MPG, WHICH IS INFURIATING, BUT THERE IS A LARGER SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED BATTERY POWER AVAILABLE FOR ACCELERATION. INTERMITTENTLY, BUT REPEATEDLY, WHEN ACCELERATING, ESPECIALLY FROM A STOP TO TURN LEFT THROUGH A GAP IN TRAFFIC OR TO MERGE ON A FREEWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE RAMP, A DANGEROUS SITUATION HAS OCCURRED BECAUSE THE ENGINE-BATTERY COMBINATION DOES NOT SUPPLY ADEQUATE POWER AND ACCELERATION. I WAS NEARLY SIDE-SWIPED THE FIRST TIME AFTER THE BATTERY UPDATE WHEN I WAS CAUGHT BY SURPRISE AT THE UTTER LACK OF POWER AS I TRIED TO TURN INTO TRAFFIC. MY HONDA DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNRESPONSIVE MY COMPLAINTS AND REQUESTS TO REVERT THE SOFTWARE TO THE OLD VERSION, WITH WHICH MY CAR WORKED FINE. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID WHICH WAS PURCHASED IN NOVEMBER 2005. SHE NOTICED A SIGNIFICANT DECREASE IN THE GAS MILEAGE BETWEEN 10 TO 15 MPG. SHE ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING UPHILL OR ACCELERATING THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE POWER. THERE WERE NO RECALLS PERTAINING TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE DRIVE-BY-WIRE THROTTLE SYSTEM EQUIPPED ON THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN VERY TARDY IN ITS RESPONSE TIME TO THROTTLE-PEDAL INPUT. THIS WAS ALREADY A "RECALL" FOR THIS VEHICLE, AND HAS SINCE GOTTEN WORSE AFTER THE NEW SOFTWARE WAS INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. FOR INSTANCE, IF DOWNSHIFTING INTO FIRST GEAR, QUITE OFTEN WILL THE ENGINE ACCELERATE ITSELF AND PUSH THE VEHICLE FOR EXTENDED AMOUNTS OF TIME (10-15 SECONDS) WITH NO PEDAL INPUT. THIS HAS OCCURRED NOT ONLY IN FIRST GEAR, BUT ALSO FOURTH GEAR AND SIXTH GEAR, NOT WHILE DOWNSHIFTING BUT DURING NORMAL HIGHWAY DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF INCIDENCES OF THIS IS APPROXIMATELY 10. LUCKILY I DO HAVE A CLUTCH AND WHEN DEPRESSING THE CLUTCH, THE ENGINE WILL RAISE ITS REVS FROM ~2000 TO OVER 3000 AND THEN DROP OFF TO IDLE. AS WELL, WHILE SHIFTING GEARS, THROTTLE RESPONSE TIME FROM PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS SLOW, AND WHEN RELEASING THE THROTTLE PEDAL THERE IS A 1.5-2 SECOND DELAY. MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC SI HAS PROBLEMS WITH GEARS ONE (1) THROUGH FOUR (4). THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF SMOOTH SHIFTING AND ERRATIC GRINDING RESULTING FROM SHIFTING THROUGH THOSE GEARS. GRINDING OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS AT A STOP AND THE CLUTCH IS SHIFTED FROM NEUTRAL TO FIRST (1). DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED IT TO BE BREAK IN PERIOD OR THAT I WASN'T USED TO A PERFORMANCE 6M TRANSMISSION (I DRIVE A 2003 NISSAN 350Z 6M). NEXT VISIT, RESULTED FROM MORE OF THE ABOVE, I CITED WEBSITE RESEARCH AND REFERENCE TO TRANSMISSION FLUID NOT OF QUALITY. DEALERSHIP DID CHANGE AND PROBLEM WAS LESSENED. THIRD VISIT, HAD SERVICE TECH DRIVE VEHICLE AND HE CAME TO CONCLUSION THAT "IT WOULD GET BETTER WITH USE", I TOLD HIM THAT I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT HONDA WOULD ACCEPT THAT SOLUTION. I THEN DROVE FOR PERIOD OF TIME THINKING IT WAS MY SKILLS AND THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER WHEN BROKEN IN, UNTIL FINALLY, I CALLED OUT OF FRUSTRATION AND CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WAS ACTUALLY POPPING OUT OF THIRD GEAR TO NEUTRAL AFTER I FELT LIKE IT WAS ENGAGED, OR I WAS HAVING TO DOUBLE CLUTCH/SHIFT AND THUS, CAUSING ME SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS AND NEAR COLLISION/REAR END DUE TO THE UNEXPECTED TIMES IT WOULD OCCUR. THIS LAST VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THAT THE DISTRICT MANAGER WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE AND WE'D SCHEDULE A VISIT WHEN HE WAS IN TOWN. THIS TIME THEY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR TWO DAYS AND REPORTED THAT BOTH DM AND SERVICE MANAGER DROVE WITHOUT ANY RECOGNITION OF REPORTED SYMPTOMS AND NOTHING WAS DONE. I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE NOT HAD THIS COMPLAINT, THEY TOOK SOME COMPRESSION READINGS AND THEY WOULD KEEP IN TOUCH. I ACCEPTED, BUT VISITED MY SALES PERSON, AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS AND SUGGESTED THAT I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS "NON-TYPICAL" HONDA RESPONSE THAT I SELL THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS A MANUAL GEARBOX AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS VERY STIFF TO OPERATE.
