Your car has developed multiple serious problems: the air conditioning stopped working, the heater isn't producing hot air, the airbag warning light is on, the engine is overheating, and the car won't start at all. Additionally, the oil pressure warning light came on, and before it stopped starting, the transmission wasn't shifting properly. These issues likely stem from an overheating engine and possibly low oil levels, which could require inspection of the cooling system, oil level and condition, transmission fluid, and the airbag system.

I am being targeted as a DRIVER since 2010 for driving programs that automatically adjust the weight needed to effectively press the brake and gas pedals of any vehicle. 4/8/2022 3:34 PM PST, such activities occurred when merging onto traffic on the 57 N freeway from Imperial Hwy on ramp. To confirm that such occurred and that it was not due to overwhelming the engine during driving in high heat conditions, e.g. 97 degrees. On past occasions, this has involved accelerating, although minimal, when I have pushed the gas pedal at E. Cameron Ave. and S. Pima Ave. cross walk, to cause embarrassment, harassment, reports, and use of my emergency brake because children were crossing following a crosswalk guard. This incident was reported during 2010-2012. Such activity was suspected beforehand but too difficult to conclude that such was the case w/o incidents like the one just aforementioned. Since 2010, the radio has played alternative broadcasts, especially during activities as the one mentioned above to cause alarm, stress or for the purpose of involving someone else, such as Maria Auxiliadora Hernandez, formerly Solis and now Flores, of knowing exactly what was said or what I was saying to myself w/o anyone around at any time. Such activities appear to be implemented as her work rather than the actual work she is supposed to complete for the company that she holds herself out as working for, e.g. the woman at the donut shop counter is supposed to be engaging in donut shop related activities, but instead begins to harass other employees and clients regarding what was emitted through the radio or what they were doing at the time of the broadcast, instead of completing activities related to staffing a donut shop. Such activities were used to control the extent of her work and her work environment in lieu of what she is contracted to complete. Cover up seems to be testing driving practices when its supposedly apparent that I am on my way to work in lieu of home

Initial Official Manufacturer Franchise New Vehicle Dealer Sponsored After Market Security Alarm, KARRS System; Official Manufacturer Factory Alarm; and GPS Navigation Radio System. Alarm was successfully set off several times within the time frames selected to protect the sleep and rest of the community, violating City of Walnut, CA municipal order 3.40.030 Certain noise prohibited. Alarm was also set to lock out driver after work (355 S Lemon Ave, Walnut, CA 91789) after 11 PM PST, and then again down the road at Vons (350 N Lemon Ave, Walnut, CA 91789), at 11:30 PM PST on the same evening, and on several occasions to be left stranded at 24 Hour Fitness Parking lots at 1600 S Azusa Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748-1674 and 18730 Amar Rd, Walnut, CA 91789-4168, and allow theft to occur at in retaliation for visiting 24 hour 21560 Valley Blvd, City of Industry, CA 91789-5241 and parking there. Put at risk others that were not on business who helped in assisting in shutting off battery to start car to be able to move it back home to get it restarted to take it back to the dealer; could've been criminalized for unlicensed activity. No. Only AAA. Usually drains battery. Yes. West Covina Honda R.O. 734681, aside from others; and Ontario Honda Tag 360212. There weren't any messages prior to the failure. Car went into similar mode that exists when one or more of the alarms are active. Both alarms were uninstalled, aside from the immobilizer and key component. At W.C. Honda, the green key light illuminated during R.O. Ontario Honda didn't provide details regarding inspection other than no issues found. Confidentiality not high; observers constantly get details and mock when possible w/o detection or punishment, inclusion non deterrent. Always seems to be protecting harasser/ criminal activity. Such activities make obvious that dealer service repair is similar to a closed examination campus, i.e. cannot always reproduce problem.

SHOULD YOU HAPPEN TO LOSE BATTERY POWER, HONDA'S "IMMOBILIZER" ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM WILL LOSE ITS MEMORY AND UNABLE TO RECOGNIZE THE OWNER'S KEYS. HONDA'S SOLUTION IS TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED INTO THE LOCAL DEALER WHERE THE UNIT AND KEYS NEED TO BE RE-CODED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE IN A YEAR'S TIME. NOT ONLY IS THIS COSTLY, INCREDIBLY INCONVENIENT, BUT A SAFETY HAZARD SHOULD IT HAPPEN ON A ROAD TRIP. HONDA REFUSES TO DO ANY ACCOMMODATION OR FIX OF THIS PROBLEM.

WHILE DRIVING MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD. I TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST AUTOZONE TO GET THE BATTERY CHECKED. THEY CHECKED THE BATTERY AND THE MANAGER OF AUTOZONE TOLD ME IT WAS NOT THE BATTERY BUT THE ALTERNATOR NOT GIVING THE CAR ENOUGH POWER. HE TOLD ME NOT TO DRIVE IT TO LONG OR I COULD GET STRANDED. I WAS NEAR A RELATIVES HOUSE, WHILE DRIVING TO MY RELATIVES HOUSE MY A/C AND RADIO WHICH WERE ON AT THE TIME TURNED OFF, AND SEVERAL LIGHTS OF THE DASHBOARD CAME ON. I WAS PANICKED BUT MADE IT SAFELY TO MY RELATIVES HOUSE. A MECHANIC CAME TO MY RELATIVES HOUSE, AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A SHORT-CIRCUIT, THE WIRES WERE BURNT AND CAUSED THE ALTERNATOR TO CRACK. THE MECHANIC SAID TO ME IN SHOCK THAT MY VEHICLE COULD HAVE EXPLODED. THE WIRES WHICH ARE 'THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS' HAD CAUGHT FIRE AT THE TIP WHICH CONNECTS TO THE ALTERNATOR. THE CAR COULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE.

6/2013 CAR ACCIDENT I HIT A PARKED CAR TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 20-25 MILES PER HOUR. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE COMPANY CHOSEN TO DO THE WORK (CUSTOM INNOVATIONS IN EUGENE, OREGON) DID NOT REPAIR THE MOTOR MOUNTS. WHICH IM VERY UPSET ABOUT AND TRYING TO DEAL WITH. AFTER HAVING THE WORK DONE THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO HONDA (KENDALL HONDA ALSO IN EUGENE, OREGON) TO HAVE AN ASSESSMENT OF MY CAR DIAGNOSED. THE WAS THE MOTOR MOUNT ISSUE AND OTHER ITEMS OIL CHANGE, TRANSMISSION FLUSH AND THE SRS LIGHT WAS ON. HONDA SERVICE DEPT. COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE SRS AND SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME. THEY NEVER DID. APPROX 1MO. DIAGNOSIS AT HONDA, I WAS SITTING IN A PARK PARKING LOT CHARGING MY PHONE IN THE CAR WITH IT IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION. I HAD BEEN THERE ABOUT 10 MINUTES WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG IN THE SEAT AND THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG DEPLOYED. SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME AND MY DOG. I SUFFERED MINOR CUTS, ABRASIONS AND SEVERE BRUISING TO MY LEFT ELBOW AND TRICEP. I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO HONDA. IT WAS A SUNDAY SO ONLY THE SALES TEAM WAS THERE. I WENT AGAIN ON MONDAY ONLY TO BE SENT AWAY, WITH A WE WILL CALL YOU.....VERY DISMISSIVE AND VAGUE. THEN AFTER CALLING 5-6 TIMES THEY FINALLY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO LOOK INTO IT. AFTERWARDS, THEY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TO TELL ME EXCEPT THAT IT WOULD COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPAIR AND NO THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR WHY THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. ESSENTIALLY I FEEL THAT THE AIRBAGS SHOULD BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE IN ADDITION TO THE SRS SENSORS ALL BEING REPLACED BECAUSE I HAVE A FEELING THIS WAS ALL DUE TO THE RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM.....WHICH I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT NOR HAVE IT CHECKED PRIOR TO ANY OF THE MENTIONS EVENTS. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THERE IS A CHANCE THE OTHER AIRBAGS MAY DEPLOY AT RANDOM. I ALSO WOULD LIKE MY CAR TO HAVE ALL THE RECALLS COMPLETED. *TR

THE CIVIC WOULD START FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN SHUT DOWN. THE ANTI-THEFT IMMOBILIZER INDICATOR LIGHT CAME. ALL THREE OEM KEYS DID NOT WORK. THIS RESULTED IN THE NEED FOR A LONG DISTANCE TOW TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP, AS WELL AS $209 IN REPAIRS. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT THE IMMOBILIZER MODULE WAS BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED, ALONG WITH SUGGESTING A NEW BATTERY. KEYS FAILING TO WORK??? COME ON HONDA! OF ALL THINGS TO GO WRONG WITH A CAR, THIS JUST SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. ON TOP OF THAT YOU STICK YOUR CUSTOMER'S WITH A COSTLY TOW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER. WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD BEEN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, STRANDED, SIMPLY DUE TO MY KEYS FAILING TO WORK? IT WOULD APPEAR YOUR VAUNTED QUALITY CONTROL IS SLIPPING THE LAST FEW YEARS. MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC HAS STALLED ON ME 7 TIMES NOW. EVERY TIME IT STALLS, I AM AT A STOPLIGHT OR STOP SIGN AND AT A COMPLETE STOP. THE ENGINE GOES INTO IDLE MODE AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGES OR I CAN GO, I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND TRY OR START TO PRESS THE GAS. MOST OF THE TIME I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL BEFORE THE CAR STALLS. THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. I HAVE NOTICED THE LAST TWO TIMES THAT THE CAR'S AC WAS ON DURING THE STALLS. BEFORE I RESTART THE CAR THERE ISN'T AN ERROR CODE OR ANYTHING DISPLAYED. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT TESTED AND EACH TIME THEY CONNECT IT TO A COMPUTER AND TELL ME THAT THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG OR THEY CAN'T PRODUCE THE PROBLEM. THERE ISN'T A FUEL PROBLEM BECAUSE I PUT SHELL GAS IN MY CAR EACH AND EVERY TIME AND I CHECKED THE AIR FILTER. I EVEN HAD A TECHNICIAN AT PEPBOYS CHECK THE BATTERY. PEPBOYS SAID THE BATTERY WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM AND OTHERS ON THE INTERNET SAY THAT IT COULD BE THE COMPUTER'S IDLE SPEED MAY NEED TO BE READJUSTED AND SOME SAY THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE IS FAULTY. I MENTIONED THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE TO THE HONDA TECHNICIAN AND THEY SAID THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A PROBLEM. THERE IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE REPORTED IT AND THE CAR STALLS. *TR

WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST HONDA DEALER PIASSA HONDA IN DREXEL HILL, PA WHICH QUOTED US $1,300 FOR CHANGING THE ENTIRE BATTERY CABLE HARNESS. WE WERE IN A SHOCK AND REFUSED THE SERVICE, BUT HAD THEM REPLACED A NEW BATTERY THEN DRIVEN HOME. BY DOING THE RESEARCH, WE FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2006 HONDA CIVIC. HONDA PURCHASED A BATCH OF DEFECTED BATTERIES WHICH LEAKING OUT ACID THAT CORRODED OUT THE CABLE. I'M A DIE HARD HONDA FAN. IN RESPONSE TO AUGUST, 2010 RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA FOR 2006 CIVIC HYBRID, I HAD THE INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST (IMA) SOFTWARE UPDATED AT THE DEALERSHIP ON 8/4/2010. SINCE THEN, THE SOFTWARE HAS BEEN EXECUTING THE IMA BATTERY RECALIBRATION ROUTINE WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY, TO THE POINT NOW WHERE THE RECALIBRATION IS OCCURRING 1-2 TIMES PER DAY AT UNPREDICTABLE TIMES DURING MY COMMUTE TO AND FROM WORK. DURING THE RECALIBRATION PERIOD OF ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES, THE IMA IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ASSIST ACCELERATION. THE ACCELERATION IS SUDDENLY SLUGGISH WHEN RECALIBRATION BEGINS, AND DOES NOT RESUME ITS NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC UNTIL THE RECALIBRATION FINISHES. THE CAR IS SEVERELY UNDERPOWERED AND CAN BE DANGEROUS WHEN THE EXPECTED ACCELERATION FOR ENTERING A FREEWAY OR MAKING A TURN ACROSS TRAFFIC, DOES NOT OCCUR. CURRENT, POST-UPGRADE IS MEASURED OVER THE LAST 200 MILES BY THE VEHICLES THE ON-BOARD MPG DEVICE. THE BATTERY CONTINUES TO DISCHARGE RAPIDLY, THE RPM IDLE INCREASES FROM ABOUT 750 TO 1500. BATTERY BEGAN PERFORMING WHAT IS KNOW AS A CALIBRATION WHERE ALL MOTOR ASSIST CEASES AND THE BATTERY RECHARGES. ONCE IN A WHILE THIS IS OKAY HOWEVER IT GRADUALLY GOT MORE AND MORE FREQUENT TO THE POINT IT BECAME A DAILY ROUTINE OR EVEN OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES WITHIN THE DAY. ONE COLD MORNING THE IMA (BATTERY LIGHT) CAME ON. AFTER TAKING THE CAR INTO HONDA, THEY PERFORMED 6 SOFTWARE UPDATES. SINCE THAT TIME CALIBRATIONS HAVE INCREASED IN FREQUENCY. THE BATTERY WILL NOW CALIBRATE AFTER SITTING FOR AS LITTLE AS 1 HOUR AND WILL OFTEN CALIBRATE SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN A SINGLE COMMUTE. AT ONE POINT OVER THE COURSE OF THE DAY, ABOUT 80 MILES, THERE WERE 5 CALIBRATIONS. A FEW DAYS LATER THE CAR PERFORMED 4 CALIBRATIONS IN A 20 MILE STRETCH. THE IMA LIGHT HAS NOT CAME BACK ON AT THIS POINT BUT I DID TAKE THE CAR TO HONDA. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE CONDITION. AT THIS TIME NOTHING HAS BECOME OF THE CALIBRATIONS. WHILE THEY HAVE BEEN MERELY ANNOYING I AM CONCERNED THAT THEY POSE A HIGH SAFETY RISK AS SHOULD THE CALIBRATION COME AT THE BEGINNING OR IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAVY ACCELERATION, THE CAR WILL LOOSE SIGNIFICANT POWER AND CAN POTENTIALLY CAUSE A HAZARDOUS SITUATION THAT COULD EASILY RESULT IN A COLLISION.(WHEN THE BATTERY CALIBRATES, GETTING THE CAR TO ACCELERATE IS LIKE PUSHING A FREIGHT TRAIN). *TR

CAR 'FREEZES' AND STRUGGLES TO GET UP HILLS. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRIVING IN STREET OF SAN FRANCISCO. RECENTLY STRUGGLED TO GO UP A HIGHWAY ONRAMP AT 25-30MPH - NO LOAD IN CAR OTHER THAN ME. NOT UNTIL 15+SECONDS ON THE FLATS COULD I SLOWLY MANAGE TO GET TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IN THE FEW MONTHS SINCE THE NOTICE, THERE ARE MANY ACCOUNTS ON THE WEB OF OTHER OWNERS EXPERIENCING SAME POWER PROBLEMS. I KNOW I BOUGHT A CAR WITH HARDLY ANY POWER BUT THIS IS DANGEROUS. UNFORTUNATELY, MY CAR NO LONGER DRIVES LIKE A HYBRID: THE MOTOR DOES NOT STOP, EVEN IF I AM STOPPED FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, WHEREAS, BEFORE, IT STOPPED EVERY TIME THE CAR DID. THE BATTERY DOES NOT ASSIST NEARLY AS OFTEN, AND THE GAS MILEAGE HAS DECREASED SIGNIFICANTLY. THE BATTERY IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SO NOTHING SHOWS UP ON THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY UNTIL THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED! THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER HOWEVER FOLLOWING REPAIRS, THE HYBRID BATTERY BECAME NON-FUNCTIONAL AND WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO EXHIBIT POOR GAS MILEAGE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD SLUGGISHLY ACCELERATE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING AN ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE UPGRADE. THE VEHICLE PREVIOUSLY WAS EXCELLENT. MOTOR ASSIST WORKED GREAT. HONDA ISSUED RECALL UPDATE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF CLAIMS FOR EARLY BATTERY FAILURE. THEY HAVE SHUT OFF THE HYBRID SYSTEM IN ORDER TO STOP BATTERY FAILURE WHICH WOULD HAVE COST THEM OVER $2000 PER CAR TO REPLACE. THEY HAVE NOT EXTENDED THE WARRANTIES OF EXISTING OWNERS LIKE MYSELF WHO HAVE 60,000 MILES. THE BATTERY WILL NOW LAST TO THE END OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD BECAUSE IT NO LONGER NEEDS TO WORK. ACCORDING TO THE DASHBOARD, THE CAR IS CONSTANTLY CHARGING THE BATTERY, EVEN WHEN I PUSH THE PEDAL TO GET ONTO A HIGHWAY. THIS IS NOT THE HYBRID CAR I PURCHASED AND USED FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS. IT IS BASICALLY A GAS ENGINE WITH 40 HP. I'M HAVING A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THE HYBRID SYSTEM (IMA AS HONDA CALLS IT), BUT HONDA KEEPS TELLING ME ITS NORMAL BECAUSE THERE HAS NOT BEEN A FAULT CODE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT LAST YEAR I STARTED TO NOTICE THE HYBRID BATTERY WAS HAVING INCREASING TROUBLE HOLDING A CHARGE AND ACCURATELY REPORTING IT'S CHARGE CONDITION. THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOM IS THAT I'LL START DRIVING WITH THE CHARGE BEING REPORTED AT 70% FULL OR SO, AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE CHARGE DROPS TO 0 AND THE CAR BEGINS TO AGGRESSIVELY RECHARGE THE BATTERY. THIS AGGRESSIVE RECHARGING TAKES ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES AFTER WHICH IS REPORTS IT IS FULL. BUT HERE'S WHERE THE DANGER LIES, IN THE FIRST COUPLE OF MINUTES, THERE IS NO ASSIST AVAILABLE FROM THE HYBRID BATTERY. WHEN STARTING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, THE CAR IS EXTREMELY SLUGGISH AND SLOW. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CASES WHERE I HAVE BEEN PULLING ACROSS AN INTERSECTION WITH CROSS TRAFFIC THAT DOESN'T STOP AND THE CAR, WITHOUT WARNING, HAD SLIPPED INTO THIS RECHARGE STATE AND NEARLY RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT - THE ONCOMING CARS HAD TO BRAKE AS I MOVED SLOWLY ACROSS THE INTERSECTION. MY HONDA DEALER AND HONDA OF AMERICA WILL NOT LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM UNLESS THERE IS A FAULT CODE. I KNOW THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD ALMOST THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR CIVICS. HONDA'S TECHS VERIFIED THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR BUT BECAUSE THEY RECEIVE NO ERROR CODE THEY REFUSE TO DO ANY FIXES AND REPLACE THE BATTERIES EVEN THOUGH PROBLEM IS WELL-KNOWN (JUST SEARCH THE HYBRID CAR FORUMS FOR OTHERS WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM). HAPPENS A FEW TIMES EACH MONTH NOW, ALWAYS WITHOUT WARNING, ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY FROM FULL (OR NEAR FULL) TO ZERO. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS A NORMAL GRADUAL DEPLETION AS YOU USE THE HYBRID SYSTEM UNDER NORMAL USE. IT SUDDENLY DISCHARGES THE HYBRID BATTERY FROM FULL TO ZERO AND FORCES A MAJOR RECHARGE PULLING AWAY MOST OF THE CAR'S POWER THAT CAN EASILY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. BUT EVEN THOUGH HONDA HAS VERIFIED THE PROBLEM ON MY CAR THEMSELVES AND IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM, THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE HYBRID BATTERY BECAUSE THEY DON'T GET AN ERROR CODE (AND IN CALIF BY LAW, HYBRID BATTERY HAS 8-10YR WARRANTY). THEIR ANSWER TO ME WAS TO JUST KEEP DRIVING THE CAR NO MATTER HOW UNSAFE IT IS BECAUSE WITHOUT A CODE THEY WON'T FIX IT (TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A "BLIND" FIX). FOR OTHERS WHO'VE REPORTED THE SAME PROBLEM, HONDA GOT "RID" OF THE PROBLEM BY "UPDATING" THE CAR'S SOFTWARE TO BASICALLY TURN OFF THE HYBRID SYSTEM SO THE DEFECTIVE BATTERY WON'T EVEN BE USED). THIS IS NOT A FIX. THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE OBLIGATED TO. HAPPENS NUMEROUS TIMES NOW. THEY'VE VERIFIED IT. AND RECENTLY 2 TIMES THAT ALMOST GOT ME SMASHED INTO. MY 2006 CIVIC HYBRID HAS MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH THE IMA: HERE'S A SHORT LIST: 1. CANNOT SIT AT TRAFFIC LIGHT MORE THAN 20 SECONDS WITHOUT HYBRID BATTERY DRAINING ITSELF AND CAUSING CAR NOT TO BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHEN LIGHT TURNS GREEN. 2. CANNOT USE A/C WHEN OVER 95 DEGREES OUTSIDE OR HYBRID BATTERY DRAINS ITSELF, MAKING CAR UNABLE TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY 3. CANNOT USE CRUISE CONTROL AT ALL OR HYBRID BATTERY DRAINS ITSELF 4. CANNOT GO OVER 70 MPH OR TAC REVS SO HIGH THAT CAR ACTS AS THOUGH IT WILL OVERHEAT OR SHUT DOWN. MULTIPLE TRIPS TO HONDA SERVICE FOR HELP RESULTED IN 5 COMPUTER UPDATES IN LAST 3 MONTHS. WAS ASSURED THIS WOULD FIX ALL PROBLEMS. HASN'T FIXED A ONE YET. HAVE BEEN DRIVING A LOANER CAR FROM DEALER FOR 1.5 WEEKS UNTIL THEY FIGURE OUT PROBLEM. FEEL LIKE SITTING DUCK ON THE ROAD, ESPECIALLY AT STOP LIGHTS BECAUSE WHEN LIGHT TURNS GREEN, THERE IS A REAL POSSIBILITY THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE AND FEAR GETTING REAR-ENDED. REPAIRS WERE MADE, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTS. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO FAILURES. SHE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH HER CHILDREN. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN DECEMBER OF 2007 FOR THE INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST CABLE, WHICH STATED THAT IT COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE. HE CALLED THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONSEQUENCE OF THIS DEFECT IS THAT THE BATTERY MAY EXPLODE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

I HAVE HAD THREE INCIDENTS OF COMPLETE BATTERY FAILURE ON MY HONDA CIVC HYBRID 2007. WITH THE LAST INCIDENT, ON OCT. 26, 2007. I FELT VERY SHAKEN BECAUSE I WAS PULLING ONTO A HIGHWAY AND AN 18 WHEELER WAS COMING - THE BATTERY FAILED AND I ONLY HAD THE POWER OF A SMALL GAS ENGINE. I WAS FORCED TO PULL ONTO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD TO AVOID A COLLISION. I HAVE HAD MY CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND CURRENTLY IT REMAINS AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE NOV. 1. I AM BEING TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW THE CAUSE AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO GET THE CAR TO REPEAT THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT COME CLOSE TO THE ADVERTISED MPG LEVELS WHILE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED AN ACCIDENT THAT I BELIEVE MAY HAVE BEEN SURGE INSTIGATED AS THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHEN YOU DEPRESS THE PEDAL THE VEHICLE SURGES FORWARD. I WAS PARKED AND HAD JUST COVERED THE BRAKE AFTER ASSESSING THE ROADWAY WHEN A WOMAN HIT ME. SHE STATED IT WAS MY FAULT BUT I HAD THE BRAKE ON AND MY WORK PARTNER SAW SOMETHING RELATED TO THIS ON THE TELEVISIONS AT A SHELL GAS STATION RELAYING THE INFORMATION TO ME. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACQUIRE ANY OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THIS VEHICLE AND DUE TO THE FACT I HAVE PAID (PAYING) 35 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THIS VEHICLE I FEEL HONDA OWES ME AN EXPLANATION AT THE VERY LEAST. I NEVER REPORTED THE DEFECTS AS I WAS UNDER THE BELIEF IT WAS JUST MY AMPLIFIER THAT WAS SMELLING BUT NOW I AM UNSURE.
