I was stopped on a city street at a red light and rear ended by a drunk driver going 45+MPH. The drivers seat back failed upon collision and was thrust back on the rear passenger seat. The resulting seat failure caused injuries to my lower back that would not have taken place had the seat structure been designed strong enough to withstand a rear collision.

I am trying to buy a car, but when I test drive them, I have neck pain because the headrests reach so far forward. If you look at the seats from the side, one is forced to sit in a hunched, curved shape, with one's head projected forward, which is hardly comfortable or healthy. Please NHTSA, change the regulations and let us sit up straight!
