There is open recall for 2017 ford fusion coolant leak that may lead to vehicle fire I have the same issue with my 2017 ford fusion but my VIN is not flagged now I’m scared to drive the vehicle

The engine on this vehicle needs to be replaced due to coolant intrusion into the cylinders. On my engine diagnosis I get Error Code #P0302 which indicates Cylinder 2 misfire detected. My vehicle overheats quickly, runs rough and the coolant reservoir is dry.

I had the car about 3 months when the first service light appeared. Misfire - replaced the cylinder. But 2 months later service light came on again for same issue.

The antifreeze leaks into the engine due to a KNOWN manufacturer design flaw, is available to inspection upon request and appointment made. Mine and others safety are at risk due to the fact that if the engine seizes up while driving, could lead to a sudden crash. Problem confirmed by a local mechanic.

I was driving to work when I had to stop at a red light as I hit the accelerator it didn’t move. I continued to press it as I was the first car at a green light suddenly the car jerked forcefully and went. I arrived at work and called my father to look at it and he told me to drive it home which is about 7 minutes away.

Trunk randomly opens and alarm goes off when parked and off. Trunk may randomly open while the vehicle is in motion. The safety concern is that the high voltage battery could get wet and become or cause a fire safety hazard.

When shifting from reverse to drive, my car would not shift and instead forced my shifting knob into the park position. The issue was the exact same as the ford 22S43 recall, where the shifting bushing wears out, however the 2017 Fusion is not included in that recall, despite still having the same bushing.

Issue with Sync 3. Major concern is the vehicle is equipped with a safety feature if there is an accident. 911 Assist is a SYNC feature that can call for help if you are involved in an accident and are unable to make a call yourself.

I was in my neighborhood heading to the store at the top the street I heard something like a clunky noise sounded like something fell out the bottom then it stopped immediately after no light or anything on to make me think of any issue with my car it started leaking like something broke kind of a burning smell then it wouldn’t move it would come on shift gears but not move at all it’s now been at Ford since last week they are trying to find the problem I guess seems to me like it’s part of the recall with torque converter they left me a voicemail saying it was a lot of metal and maybe the engine not sure

When vehicle was in park while car running, driver opened the door and was tossed out of the vehicle. Car suddenly dis-engaged from park and accelerated backwards crashing into another vehicle. When driver returned to vehicle the car was in park.

The scissor jack for the car is unstable, when the car was jacked up to remove a flat right front tire with the parking brake set and the car was on a level paved parking lot surface, the jack rolled over and the car fell on to the tire as it was being removed resulting in significant damage to the fender and injury to my hand, I was then able to jack the car back up and remove the tire and again while putting the spare tire on the jack rolled over again and this time the jack was pinned under the car and ford's roadside assistance was contacted to send someone to jack the car up.

My Ford Fusion eco boost 2017 had a faulty shifter cable bushing. When the vehicle turned off, parked (not on a hill thankfully due to safety and rolling backwards) thinking it was in park, it would not start and not go into gear and the vehicle would not shift into gears and the wrench light came on shift malfunction light came open.

I reported this issue back on July 1, 2022. My car was getting stuck in park and when I would get it into gear (reverse), once I put it in drive it automatically switched back to park. The gear shift bushing had broken on my car and I had to have it repaired.

On 3/8 the car stopped moving while driving. No warning lights came on, no check engine lights, no fluid leaks etc. Ford spent 3 weeks investigating and said there was metal flakes in the transmission fluid.

Car will not shift out of Park and getting an error message of "P0929.00-A Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Circuit A Range/Performance". There appears to be an issue with the gear shift module, and many others are experiencing the same issue. This issue could cause the driver to be stranded wherever the car decides to lock up.

My brakes are grinding squealing/rattling and I have pads replaced, no rotor wear, not sure what’s wrong. I’ve brought my car in to be serviced 3+ times and have left with no fixed car and worse brakes. When I bring up issues with my car that are related to the recalls the car has, they tell me those recalls don’t apply to my car although im having the same problems.

Vehicle will not stay in reverse or drive thus it will not shift out of park. When shifted to reverse or drive the shifter would blink red and automatically shift back to park repeatedly. The message “Shift sys fault service required” and wrench popped up.

The car would not start due to the throttlebody failed to operate. Luckily, the car was parked when this occured and had to be towed to nearest ford dealer. Who informed me if I had been driving and it had failed during operation, car would have come to a dead stop while driving and/or in my case failed to start.

The shift cable bushing, which was covered on other Ford vehicles in a recall issued on 15 June 2022, failed on my 2017 Fusion. This occurred while in a parking lot. The car would not start as it was stuck in reverse.

Stopped vehicle at a drive though and put in in park. Afterword would not shift into drive, only in reverse. Had to back all the way through a parking lot to find a safe place to try to park as not to be in the way of other vehicles.

While driving the vehicle the vehicle stalls or stops when attempting to shift to either reverse or drive. An alert comes on indicating shifter issues then vehicle was inoperable. Had to call for a wrecker to have it towed due to the issue.

When putting into reverse it jolts and shakes and makes a real loud noise and says vehicle and low gear and needs to be stopped (not sure of the exact wording} then when put into drive it does the same thing but not as rough as I try to continue to drive forward there is no power I barely step on the gas and it sounds real rough and loud it seems like it's hot under the hood more than usual I had to diagnose test run it's saying it's the power train system it's eating through all my gas the electrical has been acting weird the last few months but there was no warning signs popping up on my dash until out of nowhere my check light engine came on I called the dealership here in Ogden Utah they stated that my vehicle is outside of the recall time frame but it seems like everyone with a 2017 well actually from the last 10 years there's been issues it seems and it's all the same problem mostly I really don't think I should have to come out of pocket since this is an ongoing issue with Ford and their fusions

I bought a brand new fusion 2017 have around 79,500 miles on it now it's been two years. The repairs they told me would be over $10,000. I am not able to make that payment happen and the car is now sitting in the yard.

This is the rubber bushing problem on the automatic transmission shift system. I saw that recalls were made for Ford Fusion from 2013 to 2016, but 2017 models were excluded which is my own model. I returned home and tried to reverse my car into the parking lot.

I took my car to the Ford dealer today for a oil change and was told that the lug nuts were defective and had to be replaced. They charged me $237.40 to replaced them. I have a extended warranty and they told me they were not cover under this warranty.

I have a 2.0L engine with a 6-speed engine. My daughter was on the highway going about 60mph and her car started shaking very badly and eventually shut off. It turns out that it does in fact have something to do with her studs not being welded correctly, and her transmission mounts failed causing the engine and transmission to move rapidly under the hood of her car not being held in place.

The shift bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission has degraded then subsequently detached in the past in 2021. In 2022 after the shift bushing was replaced, it has now degraded again (without detaching yet) causing the vehicle to be stuck in reverse or drive after shifting vehicle.

Backup camera only performs about 50% of the time the image appears distorted or not show at all while the vehicle is in reverse. This has been occurring since july 2020. There is never any specific moments that cause the camera to not perform such as type of roads driven down, the outside temperatures, weather or time of day, it is just occurs sporadically.

It is torque converter connector that slams suddenly and make the car jerk while in motion no matter what speed I am doing..the torque converter does not connect the engine to the transmission smoothly .

Sickening fumes/odors entering main cabin of the car, unless the air is on recirculate. Fumes causing headache, sore throat, respiratory and eye irritation. The fumes are produced from under the hood and enter the car when it is running and the windows are down or the air conditioner or heater pull in outside air.
