While driving my 2017 fusion 2.0 eco boost with 77,000 miles the "service engine soon" light came on.the light went off a few days later but I had already made a service appointment at the dealer where I had purchased it brand new. They've also done all of the routine maintenance. They said it just needed new spark plugs and injectors cleand, so they did the work and charged me $400.

Engine coolant leaked into multiple cylinders and the engine needs to be replaced. Apparently this is a design flaw and has been known by ford for many years and has not been recalled. This is the ecoboost engine in a 2017 ford fusion platinum.

Nothing yet happened, I took it to the dealership a day after I bought it because of what they called a 'ghost' check engine light that would pop on for a few seconds and then went away. I also realized the car is needing a frequent refill for coolant.

Coolant got into the cylinder due to a known issue with this motor. A software update was offered to try and prevent the problem but the damage had already been done. The car has 65000 miles and is 5000 over the warranty.

While driving my car there is an odor that smells like gas. I am not sure where it is coming from sometimes it's very strong others not so bad
