2016 Dodge Grand Caravan Engine Problems

Code P0302 - undiagnosed as of 2/14/24 mileage - 51833miles 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan with Braun Mobility Conversion for wheelchair June 2023, had transmission freeze up and replace by Dodge dealer. Later that day after picking up from dealer, "Engine" light came back on. Called and left message with dealer asking if they neglected to re-set codes and or reset check engine light.

On the freeway the vehicle started jerking, having delayed acceleration, making it unable to safely drive. I pulled off the road immediately before an accident was caused.

Component or system failed or malfunctioned: The engine It appears there is a common problem with the 3.6L V6 F DOHC 24V engines in the Dodge and/or Chrysler auto line. The problem is a misfire in cylinder #2. Which causes the car to shake when idling or stall when driving.

My 2016 having the same issue as many others and it seems to be a bad cylinder head. We have changed the coil and plug, but that didnt help. Apparently the #2 cylinder head is prone to this problem.

V1 was parked for at least 12 hours and vehicle engine compartment fire .

Was sitting at gas station with the van at an idle. The check engine light came on. After running diagnostics it was determined it had a cylinder 4 misfire.

Today, I was driving my van to work, and I stopped at a stop sign, went to go, and the van made a horrible clunk noise and wouldn't drive. I shifted through the gears, and each one made the van shake hard. I purchased this van 2 weeks ago from a used car lot.

The oil filter housing for Jeep Dodge Chrysler 3.6 is originally made with plastic. Now its made with metal. My van is leaking oil.

Was told today the oil filter cooler has a small leak. Appears to be a prolific issue on Caravans that Dodge is ignoring. Presents a safety hazard if the leak gets too bad and an environmental hazard if they go unrepaired.

Mileage 73,487 failure of left cylinder bank causes engine to stumble or stop at traffic lights or stop signs an internet search reveals this is a common problem with this engine. Repair by dodge dealer cost $4621.78. 2 complaints (1/11/2022 & 1/09/2023) filed to fca customer care were ignored.

My vehicle has the Pentastar engine tick indicative of a rocker arm issue. I’ve been having performance issues with the vehicle at only 124,000 miles and less. It’s escalating to the point in afraid of complete engine failure while I’m driving.

Oil leak from top of the engine, Vehicle has being well maintained barely has 61,000 miles, well taken care of, oil leak from top of the engine, theres more people having this issue, possible cause: or theres alot of issues with this leaks and is expensive repair. I was doing my monthly check up and I found this oil leak.

The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle with a defective vapor canister purge valve and valve cover gasket.

The fuel pump stays on 24 hours a day even after the engine has been turned off. These are referred to online as TIPM Fuel Pump. The Dodge dealer wants to replace the entire box of fuses at a cost of 1000-1500.

My car qualifies for a recall for the Dodge Grand Caravan transmission pump. The dates of affected caravans were from July 31 2015 to April 18th 2016. My caravan was built in February 2016 the recall code from the dealer is S44 and the NHTS a recall code is 16V461000.

My car showed all kinds of notices on the screen and was not turning on correctly and shaking while driving or standing. I took it to the dealer and was told my entire engine will have to be replaced due to oil sludge on the engine and this will cost be around $9000. I’ve been researching and it seems this tends to happen a lot to dodge car engines.

The engine makes a very loud tapping/ticking noise when idling and slight acceleration. It appears to be coming from the top of the engine, possible a rocker arm or lifter. I hope there is a recall on this issue.

Bought the car used with 35,982 miles. A year after I purchased the van my check engine light came on. Changed the oil and spark plugs.

Sometimes, the engine won't shut down after being driven. When the vehicle has been parked, and put into park, then turn the key off, the vehicle is still running. It'll run for several minutes, then cut off.

Vehicle park on a flooded street on July 2 2023. Water lever getting to a certain level that decided to moved . Once vehicle was start the water got to the throttle and water inside motor.

Ticking in engine, engine seized

Have had issues with the 6th cylinder since we bought it. Same issues as 2015 and down. 6th cylinder piston is crumbled.

When driving, the vehicle will suddenly turn completely off, losing power steering and power brakes. The panel indicator lights then all come on. It has happened twice in the past two months.

RPM started bouncing between 5-7k then I couldn't accelerate on freeway and kept losing speed. Had to accelerate hard to get to the side of freeway

Te left cylinder head went bad at 80,000 miles
