2019 Chevrolet Silverado Ld 1500 — Known Issues & Recalls

The vehicle was being driven to work when the engine lost power and several warning lights started cycling. The vehicle started shaking badly. The truck had 62,735 miles and was regularly serviced.

GM refuses to cover catalytic converter recall 20V-005 despite matching VIN/build criteria. Failure occurred at 88k, but dealer refused service at the time. I'm now driving it at 108k.

The transmission does not shift smoothly. It actually will lurch forward after a stop at a sign or traffic light. It hesitates upon acceleration. I find it unerving and possibly dangerous. It was fixed by the dealer on October 22, 2024 and was good for 6 months but has started to do the same thing again.

The variable timing system started acting up last year and when I took it to the dealer they replaced it and I was charged over $400 for it to be repaired.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The ECU/Power train failed/ Yes the vehicle is available for inspection. The vehicle's check engine light & traction light came on & the dash displayed multiple warning messages including reduced engine power & service ECS.

Driving on highway leaving Virginia going around 70 all of a sudden truck starts making clicking and clacking sound all warning signals came on dash truck slows down to 20-25 miles pulled off highway checked fluid levels returned back to highway could only drive 45-50 an hour to Augusta Ga upon inspection at dealership was told either the lifters and camshaft were bad no prior problems

abrupt shifts when approaching a red light or stop and sometimes rough shifting.

TSB PIP5776. 87000 miles failed. dealer quote ($9,000) to repair lifter and bent camshaft.

Key keeps getting stuck when I put it in park and turn off truck! It’s off and on park but it won’t release the key! This happens every day!

Truck goes into limp mode several times… fuses pop when it does..it does it when I drive or hit any slight bump
