Driving on interstate when "Service ESC" and "Service ABS" warning came on in cluster, with flashing CEL light. Near total loss of power and loud noise from under hood. Exited the interstate immediately and turned off engine.

When I was driving home the message center said low oil pressure shut engine off and I did then noticed that the oil cooler line blew apart from the crimp piece and sprayed oil all over the road and on my passenger side front tire and rotor and luckily it was raining because I feel it could have caught on fire from the oil hitting the hot rotor

Vehicle engine began to stall and make clanking noises. The engine light came on. Was able to get to repair shop, which was very close.

My complaint is regarding faulty oil lines that are known to be defective by GM/Chevy. The oil lines begin to leak in colder weather and according to discussion boards, have even been known to come off completely while at speed and purging all of the oil from the vehicle. This can result in the almost immediate seizure of the engine and loss of control of the vehicle.

I had an oil cooler line fail on the interstate, causing a sudden loss of oil pressure. Caused a great deal of smoke to the side and rear of vehicle as well as oil spilled beneath. I was fortunate to get off the road before an accident occurred.

I am writing to express my concern regarding a serious issue with my 2019 Chevy Silverado. Recently, while driving on the highway, I experienced a sudden loss of power. After diagnosing the issue, I was informed that my engine now requires a full replacement.

My 2019 Chevy Silverado started having a tapping/bang and loss of performance check engine light, out of the blue at 127,000 miles. They also told me that there was a recall, see PDF attached, (#N212329640-01) that is associated with this problem.

In my 2019 Chevy Silverado, I experienced an oil leak in my garage. I have never had a leak since I purchased the new truck. I took it to the dealership, and they notified me that my engine oil cooler hose assembly was leaking and needed to be replaced. I asked if the truck was safe to drive and I was informed that it was. I was driving home from work when the warning chimes began, and a message on my screen said to pull over immediately due to a loss of oil pressure. I looked at my oil gauge which was already at zero. I pulled over as quickly and as safely as I could and shut off the engine. There was smoke coming from the engine compartment. I called my insurance and then a tow truck. The tow truck driver asked if this was a 2019 Silverado, I said yes, and he said that he has seen this before in other 2019 Silverado trucks. As well, the dealership also mentioned that they have seen this before.

While driving started making a ticking noise. Stopped the truck, to see if we could hear it again. Put truck in drive, check engine came one along with service park brake and esc warning lights; we were on a highway with minimal room to pull off. The truck started to shake at about 55 miles per hour. Made it home and took to Chevy dealer on Monday morning. Informed that the lifter went bad, in turn damaged the camshaft. After having the truck all week, total repairs topped out at $10,500. This is wrong especially when I searched internet and GM is well aware of this issue when no regards to safety of drivers.

NEED TO REPLACE THE OIL COOLER LINE ASSY, THE RUBBER HOSE SEPERATED FROM THE METAL TUBING, CAUSING A LOST OF 6 QTS OF OIL ON THE ROADWAY. I UNDERSTAND THERS IS A RECALL IN CANADA AND ALASKA, NOT HERE IN STATES

The contact immediately pulled over and was unable to restart the vehicle. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed with an oil cooler line failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle had been serviced and repaired by the dealer under warranty. The failure mileage was 42,100.

My Truck has less than 35,000 miles and I've had Transmission issues. I've taken it to the Dealership and they don't have an answer to the problem other than changing the transmission fluid as that has resolved issues on other trucks. When I took it in, I would shift it out of park to drive it jerks, when I shift from drive to reverse, it jerks, when I shift from reverse back to drive it jerks. When I'm slowing down at a stop sign or stop light it shifts weird. I've been getting on a busy highway and accelerated and it downshifted so hard and kind of stalled, I swear took it at least 5 seconds to catch up and gain speed. I don't want to be on the HWY and my truck stall because no one knows what's going on or how to fix it.

While traveling at 35mph engine oil cooler line failed. Got a warning chime and message saying “Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle off”. Had car towed to the dealership and upon inspection found the line had completely separated from the hose. This seems to be an ongoing problem that is not being resolved for the lower 48 states. Could result in catastrophic engine failure, fire, or an accident for anyone making a sudden stop in traffic.

Noticeable ticking noise started coming form the engine, upon further inspection it was the lifters that was causing the noise. DFM, AFM the truck is out of warranty at 76,000 mi. So i got a second opinion from another shop and got it fixed through them, not the dealer. My shop re surfaced the Heads and went a few steps further than the dealer would have done.

A current recall for this issue stands in cananda and alaska. The eoc engine cooling lines leak oil. The eoc clamp and/or assembly loosens causing a sever oil leak.

Oil cooler lines failed at the crimp of the rubber to metal line. At 43,000 mi, not covered under warranty. Purchased lines and had them replaced.

After noticing oil leaking from my vehicle, when parked, I researched on the internet for potential problems. I inspected the underside of the truck. Oil was covering the skid plate, all the way to the back of the transmission pan.

When shifting from drive to reverse the transmission makes a grinding/slipping noise. At speeds over 30 MPH same grinding/slipping noise occurs seldom. Dealer says it's normal.

Oil cooler line ruptured causing engine to lose oil pressure. Fortunately, I was on a city street and was able to pull over and shut off the engine. Upon checking the engine I found excessive oil leaking to the ground.

Driving when a note came on the dash. 'low oil pressure warning turn off engine immediately'. I did, and checked the oil.

I was driving with my [XXX] son when engine seized in the middle of a 4 way intersection at [XXX]. I had to get him out of car seat and exits the intersection on foot with no one willing to help slow traffic we waiting on road side for an hour till wrecker arrived. The engine was ruined something GM I now know was aware of.

The bearings on the crank shaft witch caused a lifter to fail and bent a rod witch caused it to become jamed in crank shaft. Engine faild at speed of 55-65 independent service center confirmed the problem no other warring lights came on untill engine failed

Lifter roller seized causing damage to the camshaft lobe. Problem has occurred in many other vehicles with the 5.3L L84 engine No warnings before issue occurred.

Unexpected loss of power. Issues with bearings caused cam to get damaged leading to required engine replacement.

GM 5.3 Liter V8 engines are known to have lifters lock up and bend push rods or destroy the camshaft resulting in engine replacement or rebuild. GM's fix is to replace the badly designed lifters with the exact same ones hoping that they will last past the warranty period thereby putting the entire cost of replacement on the owners.

Driving on a farm to market road, I passed a slow dump truck, when I let off the gas, every light on my dash came on, I lost all power and my engine started knocking. I Had 60662 miles on it. I bought it with 442 miles on it.

The oil cooler line on this vehicle is faulty- they Crimp that crimps the hose to the metal parts breaks off. This is common in this vehicle (after it happened to me, I started to read on this and thousands of customers have had this issue). My oil exited my vehicle and upon replacing the part on my own (after towing, parts and labor cost), the engine would not crank.

Engine failure-Cyclinoide Had to replace engine- Maintenance was done as recommended. Should not have to replace engine.

Engine oil Cooler Line completely popped out from the the crimp fitting. Low oil pressure chimed. immediately turned the truck off and oil flooded my driveway.

2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 D purchased in September 2019 with less than 100K miles dropped off at the Chevrolet deal on last Tuesday 6/18 report need a new engine which will be costing me more than the price of the vehicle.

Lost ALL oil pressure while casually driving 35mph. Safety issue, had to stop on side of busy highway. Truck warned me to turn off engine.

Thousands of these vehicles have Engine Lifter failure problems at early mileage and if your vehicle is out of warranty you have to pay. These are vehicles with the AFM 5.3 and many are failing. This is a well known problem and should be recalled soon.

On cold starts when approximately 2nd gear shifts around 20mph the truck feels like it’s slipping the gear and losing power. Has happened every time and there’s under 5000 miles on vehicle
