Your vehicle caught fire and exploded while parked in an underground parking garage. According to an official forensic report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, a short circuit in the engine compartment electrical wiring caused the fire with no warning signs beforehand. The vehicle was seized as evidence and the investigation confirmed the fire was caused solely by an internal electrical fault, not external factors like arson.

You may become trapped inside your car if the key fob is outside the vehicle, as the doors and windows cannot be opened without it. This creates a dangerous situation, especially on hot days or if a child is left inside. Your car requires a special dealership procedure to unlock the doors from the inside in an emergency. A potential fix could involve making the interior door lock pins more accessible for emergency manual unlocking.

Your sunroof suddenly shattered and exploded while you were driving on the highway, even though the cover was closed and no external object hit it. A police officer found no evidence of impact from rocks, bullets, or other debris. Both BMW dealerships have refused warranty coverage, claiming this isn't covered even though you've found reports of this being a recurring issue with BMW vehicles. The repair will likely involve replacing the sunroof glass panel and inspecting the sunroof assembly for manufacturing defects.

Your windshield glass appears to be unusually fragile and cracks or chips easily, even from minor impacts. The windshield has required multiple repairs within just two months, and you've noticed this issue is reported on several websites for your vehicle's make, model, and year. The BMW service center is aware of the problem, though no warning light appears. Fixing this will likely require windshield replacement rather than repair.

BMW has a safety recall on my vehicle for over two months now with no fix available. I am in the process of moving to Japan and need to sell the vehicle. BMW is prohibiting a lease transfer or sale until the vehicle is fixed, but they cannot fix it. Meanwhile I lost a potential buyer and BMW wants to charge me an early lease termination fee of over $6000 but they will not fix the vehicle and they will not allow me to sell or complete a lease transfer. BMW should accept this vehicle back without charging me extra money for a lease termination fee on a defective vehicle.
I am filing this complaint regarding the recall on my 2022 BMW X3, which involves the interior rear cargo rails. The recall, added to the NHTSA database over a month ago, indicates that in an extreme rear crash, the attachment between the rear cargo rail and the vehicle body could become damaged. This issue could lead to the rail separating from the vehicle body, increasing the risk of injury. Despite the significant safety risk outlined in the recall, there has been no update on when repair kits will be made available to service centers to begin the necessary repairs. This delay in providing the remedy is causing concern as it leaves my vehicle potentially unsafe for an extended period. I urge the NHTSA to look into the timeliness of this repair process to ensure that the necessary parts are distributed promptly to mitigate the associated safety risks.

My BMW X3 was less then 1 month old with less then 200 miles. On the way home around 11PM I noticed sparks and some coming out the hood. I pulled to the side of the road and as soon as I stepped out of the car flames were coming out from under the car, drivers door. Called 911. Police and fire department showed up within 10 minutes. The fire was put out unfortunately the whole car melted by then. I'm glad I escaped unhurt. Few minutes more I could have been seriously hurt or dead.
