The Cruise Control has issues. On 3 long rides so far, I have experienced that it suddenly loses speed and gives the message radar ready now. Furtunately i was maintaining very safe driving distance with other cars on the highway, which has helped me accelerate in time to continue driving and avoid collision. I dont know of any pattern which triggers this. This could lead to a serious problem if it fails in a tricky spot on highway. I am afraid to use it as its not 100 percent reliable.
Your car's forward collision warning system activated briefly while you were driving in heavy rain on wet roads, even though there were no vehicles nearby. The warning turned off after a few seconds. Your Toyota dealer explained that rain likely blocked the sensor temporarily, causing a false alert.
