RECALLCampaign #25V595000

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza, 2023-2025 RAV4 Prime, RAV4, Highlander, GR Corolla, Crown, 2024-2025 Lexus TX, LS, Toyota Tacoma, Grand Highlander, and 2025 Lexus RX, Toyota Crown Signia, Camry, RAV 4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and 4 Runner vehicles. Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.

Fix: Dealers will update the instrument panel software for non-PHEV vehicles, free of charge. For PHEV vehicles, dealers will inspect the instrument panel assembly, and either replace it, or update the software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 5, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB08 and 25TA08. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB05 and 25LA05.

Your 2025 Camry suddenly accelerated on its own while you were slowly parking between two vehicles, and the brakes failed to stop it, causing a collision with a wall. This happened at only 7,000 miles with your foot on the brake. You suspect a control system failure in the hybrid system, and you're concerned because you've heard of similar incidents in other Toyota hybrids, but Toyota's dealer investigation found no defect after two months.

Your backup camera display goes blank when you shift into reverse, though this doesn't happen every time. This could make it difficult to see behind your car when backing up. The fix will likely involve diagnosing the camera wiring, connector, or display unit to restore the video feed.

Your car's touchscreen display has gone completely black and won't respond, making it impossible to use the infotainment system. Although Toyota has issued a recall for this problem, your specific vehicle wasn't included on the recall list. This issue has apparently been known since 2023, but you weren't informed about it when you purchased the car.

While driving at 45 mph, your car's engine suddenly shut down completely, though it restarted on its own. The dashboard display also reset all your settings, and this is the second time this has happened. This type of unexpected power loss while driving creates a safety concern and needs immediate dealer inspection.

Your car's 12-volt battery is only charging to about 50% capacity instead of fully charging. The dealer says this is normal operation, but you're concerned about the reduced charging level. The issue may involve the alternator not providing sufficient charge, the battery itself being defective, or a charging system malfunction that needs diagnosis.

Your infotainment display screen randomly goes completely blank without warning while you're driving, including while using the backup camera. When this happens, you lose access to navigation, vehicle settings, and the backup camera view, creating a safety hazard especially when backing up. The screen fails suddenly with no warning lights or error messages beforehand. The fix will likely require a software update or replacement of the display unit by your Toyota dealership.

Your car's battery has died three times since you purchased it, requiring jump starts each time. AAA technicians believe the battery is defective, though the dealership's test showed it as good, creating uncertainty about the real cause. Additionally, the Toyota app won't start your car remotely, incorrectly stating the vehicle is already running when it's parked. The fix will likely involve replacing the battery with a quality unit and having the dealership diagnose why the remote start feature isn't working properly.

Your dashboard screen occasionally goes blank and the infotainment system restarts on its own. This appears to be an intermittent electrical issue with the dashboard display and entertainment system. The dealer may need to diagnose the root cause, which could involve software updates, loose wiring connections, or a faulty display module.

Your 2025 Toyota Camry is subject to a recall (NHTSA Campaign 25V595000) for an electrical system issue, but the required replacement part isn't yet available from the manufacturer. You've contacted your local dealer, and while you haven't experienced any actual failure, the delay in getting the part has stretched longer than you feel is reasonable. The manufacturer hasn't been directly notified of your concern about the repair timeline.

Your 2025 Camry Hybrid makes a noise at speeds under 20 mph that sounds like an electric motor or bearing. The service department says this is a speaker designed to alert pedestrians (required by law for hybrids at low speeds), but they couldn't locate the speaker or show you it on diagnostics, and the noise doesn't consistently occur during backing or other slow-speed situations. You'd like the dealer to use a diagnostic scanner to confirm this is a speaker and not an actual mechanical problem, and if it is a speaker, you want the sound pattern changed so it's clearly artificial rather than sounding like a failing motor component.

Your low oil warning light keeps turning on repeatedly even though your oil level is actually fine. The problem started at just 20 miles and has persisted after two oil changes. Your dealer believes this is a software glitch that Toyota is aware of but hasn't fixed yet, though they say the car is safe to drive. The fix will likely involve a software update from Toyota once they release one.
