Your car developed a transmission leak and ball joint failure around 80,000 miles. After the initial repair, you noticed the vehicle jerked when you pressed the accelerator at various speeds. The dealer determined the transmission needs to be replaced, but the part is on backorder and hasn't been repaired yet. The fix will require a full transmission replacement once the part becomes available.

I have a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE with 67,000 miles. The car started making a clinking noise when driving over small bumps, increasingly getting louder over the course of a few days. I took it in to a mechanic and both the left and right strut mounts and coils were rusted and fully cracked . When lifted, both front tires fell to the sides. This could have resulted in significant car damage had I driven over a large bump,. The mechanic stated that he had never experienced this in a newer car with so few miles.
Brought my vehicle to Costco to have the tires replaced. After the vehicle was put on the lift, the wheel broke off. Fortunately no one was underneath at the time. Costco did no further work because of this so car was then towed to dealership. They confirmed that the strut mounts were rusted so badly that it caused it to just break away from the top mount. This suspension issue also caused additional tire damage. There was absolutely no indiciation that there was an issue with the strut and I am glad that it decided to break off while on a lift getting service instead of when I was driving it. The vehicle is only 7 years old and mechanics at dealership confirmed that corrosion should not have happened that quickly and suspect a design flaw that is trapping moisture, therefore accelerating corrosion.
Toyota of Orlando is held RESPONSIBLE for tearing an piece off my car and they are failing to fix the issue after being addressed to it an day after till I noticed my car feels loose while driving and it wasn't like that and Im facing shaking issues and suspension issues after being taken after an simple inspection.
Front right (passenger side) shock absorber assembly rusted out and separated from shock strut mounting bracket.Shock strut retaining nut is stick attached , but entire upper mounting bracket is separated from strut mount.Car only has 65,000 miles and is not operated in excessive salt area.
Car was brought to dealership for brake vacuum booster recall. After being assessed it was lowered to the ground and the Front RH Strut /Spring Assembly broke free from the vehicle - The internal portion of the mount was completely rusted apart thus detaching from the outer “shell” of the strut mount leading to a completely unsafe condition that required repair. The vehicle has 145,000 miles and no other signs of rust near this part, parts related too, or on the body panels near this area. Parts have since been replaced and car is operational. Could have caused accident if coil Spring broke free of assembly during regular driving. No warning lights, strange noises or other indicators spoke to how decayed this part was. Not caught during inspection prior to car being purchased 2 yrs ago.
Front, right, strut disconnected from upper mount during driving.
ROTORS WORN OUT AND NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED AT 20,000 MILES. GRINDING NOISE IS HEARD WHILE BRAKING.AT 23,000SHOCKS/STRUTS MAKES NOISE ON ROUGH ROAD WHILE DRIVING
TAKATA RECALL THE FRONT AXLE BREAKS WHEN DRIVING ON A CITY STREET (NOT TURNING BUT THE STEERING WHEEL IS SLIGHTLY RIGHT) WITH A SPEED OF ABOUT 25-30 MPH AND THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE WENT OFF THE VEHICLE WITH BOTH RIGHT FRONT AND RIGHT REAR TIRES BURST. NOT SURE IF THE CAR HITS THE CURB FIRST OR THE AXLE OR FLAT TIRE HAPPENED FIRST.
