Your 2025 Kia Sportage may experience unexpected transmission shifts and jerking while driving at highway speeds, along with warning messages telling you to turn off the engine. At lower speeds (45-50 MPH), your vehicle may suddenly stall and lose throttle response even when you press the accelerator pedal. The problem may resolve temporarily after restarting, but could recur multiple times during a drive. Your dealer may need to perform a full transmission and engine diagnostic to identify and repair the underlying electrical or mechanical fault.

Your 2025 Sportage is having trouble starting the engine and shifts gears roughly while driving — the engine revs up but the transmission doesn't engage properly, and you've noticed the Auto START/STOP light is orange. You're concerned about potential transmission failure, especially after hearing about similar issues from others. The dealer needs to diagnose what's causing the starting difficulty and transmission shifting problem, which may involve checking the electrical system, transmission fluid, and transmission control sensors.
