Recall 95B. I have been given the runaround for months on the status of this recall from the FCA recall center and Jeep. I purchased a hybrid Jeep 4xE with the main purpose of being able to run both electric and gas. However, jeep is telling me not to charge the vehicle, do not park it in the garage, and to make sure that it’s not parked near any structures because of explosion/fire hazard! This is completely unacceptable to not have a resolution for such a major concern in a timely manner.
Loss of power pulling into traffic 6/6/24, nearly causing an accident, hybrid battery stopped working. CEL and service charging system light. Called dealer and not able to get service appointment until 6/26/24. Used vehicle unsafely until 6/26 without battery. Dropped off at dealer 6/26 and just received the vehicle with repair today, 7/24/24 28 days later.
My gas gauge read 37 miles till empty and then died in the middle of a main rd. Had to get it towed $320 for the tow and $200 diagnostic fee. Just to find out that the gas gauge is incorrect and not to trust it.
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the message "Battery Charge, Switch to Park" displayed and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that moments later, the vehicle was restarted and operated normally. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The contact stated that the vehicle had previously experienced random jerking forward while coming to a stop. Additionally, the rear passenger’s side seat belt malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the check warning engine light remained illuminated while driving. The fuel cap was replaced, and the failure was fixed. The failure mileage was 5,000.
I received a recall notice on my Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe that the vehicle could suddenly shut down while in motion and needed a repair to prevent this from happening. I took it into the dealer to get the repair. At this point the vehicle had about 1200 miles on it. About a week AFTER getting the recall repair, the vehicle shut down without warning while I was driving it in all electric mode. I had to pull off the road, coast to a stop, and restart. I took it back to the dealer and they said that they had never heard of this happening AFTER getting the recall fixed. They said they didn’t know what to do to address it and would be reporting it to Jeep/Stellantis HQ in Detroit. The dealer is Jeff D’Ambrosio in Downingtown, PA. They said they would be back in touch once they heard from Detroit. This is extremely concerning and should be investigated.
