I left the dealership which is nextdoor to my place of employment and completely lost the clutch on a busy road and had to be towed. I spent hours and days trying to find a clutch and finally located one and purchased it along with the flywheel. The repair seemed to be successful but now I am having that same burning smell. I received the recall notice 19A/NHTSA, however late, from FCA. It had the following statement: "WHAT IF I ALREADY PAID TO HAVE THIS REPAIR COMPLETED? If you have already experienced this specific condition and have paid to have it repaired, you may visit [XXX] to submit your reimbursement request online. Once we receive and verify the required documents, reimbursement will be sent to you within 60 days. If you have had previous repairs performed and/or already received reimbursement, you may still need to have the recall performed." I submitted my repair and proof of payment documents and they immediately closed my case because a remedy is not available. This makes no sense and contradicts the statement. Obviously I need to replace the clutch and flywheel. Now the replacement is putting off the same burning odor and I have to wait for a remedy knowing there is potential for a fire. I believe this has been an ongoing issue and should have been remedied long ago. Especially considering my vehicle is a 2018. There have been no warning indicators or lights. Axle system issue. Dealerships are replacing complete axle for just a sensor and they take the car a month to do it. Common issue on all jeeps.

While driving the locker system light will ding and light will illuminate. Have had it at a dealership 5 times approximately for this issue. Locker system will not work but I fear it will engage while driving since they cannot figure out how to fix it.

Jacksonville chrysler jeep dodge ram westside located at 7030 commonwealth ave, jacksonville, fl 32220, (904) 438-3500) was contacted and made aware of the issue.

Y07/NHTSA 21v-028 the repair jeep has proposed is a software update which will reduce available power. This is unacceptable. Jeep needs to upgrade the clutch/pressure plate to handle the loads that the engine imposes on it.

I have been complaining to the dealer about inconsistent clutch pressure for 2+ years. I have provided the dealer different data about when driving at constant speed for 20 miles, then pressing in the clutch the first time it is "hard". Fca has had the data and information about these clutched getting to hot and exploding.

My jeep wrangler has had a sticky transmission since I initially purchased it and the dealership has been giving me the run around since. The transmission hesitates to transition between gears while accelerating and even makes a loud high idling noise while accelerating as if it doesn't want to accelerate.

With normal street driving - dry conditions and going 30 MPH moving straight the 'service axel licking system' went on. Because of false messages that clear themselves I turned the car off and on again. It did not clear.

Pressure plate broke causing clutch to burn out in less than a mile drive. Jeep has 41k miles on it and its currently at dealership awaiting repair

A doing a brake job found that the left side, front axle was leaking. Vehicle has approximately 53,500 miles.

Loud "clanking" noise coming from rear of vehicle when accelerating from dead stop and lightly accelerating from 5mph.

Vehicle was driven and put into park. When restarted, even though I was able to move the gear shift, the jeep would not move out of park. One dealership said it coded as the transmission control module and supposedly replaced it along with a transmission flush.

THIS WAS FOUND DURING A TIRE REPLACEMENT. THE LEFT REAR BRAKE WAS COATED WITH "OIL" THAT I WAS TOLD CAME FROM THE REAR TRANSMISSION SEAL NEXT TO THE WHEEL LEAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS, AT TIMES, HARD TO STOP. I WAS FORCED TO "SLAM" ON THE BRAKES TO GET VEHICLE TO STOP. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE FEATURE SEEMED TO STOP WORKING AND I WOULD SKID TO A STOP. THERE WAS NO CONSISTENCY IN THE OCCURRENCE OF THIS SYMPTOM. THE DEALER TOLD US THAT THEY WERE REPLACING THE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

LOOSING COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE CODE U0141 . STARTED HAPPENING AT 4300 MILES. DRIVE AROUND 25 MILES AT 70 TO 75 AND ALL GAUGES FLASH AND CYCLE. TRANSMISSION GOES INTO LIMP MODE. AND IF YOU SHUT IT OFF IT WON'T START OR CRANK OVER UNTIL IT COOLS OFF. TOOK IN TO DEALER FOR WTY REPAIR, THEY REPLACED THE FUSE BOX , BUT THAT DIDN'T FIX IT. THEY TRIED AGAIN AND GIVE UP ON IT. SAID LIGHT BAR AND WINCH VOIDED THE WTY. WHICH BOTH CONNECT AT BATTERY AND WINCH HAS NEVER BEEN USED AND LIGHT BAR VERY SELDOM. IT HAS 8300 MILES ON IT NOW IT MAY GO 2 MONTHS AND BE FINE OR IT MAY DO IT 3 TIMES IN ONE DAY. LAST TIME IN SHOP WAS 2/27/19 THEY HAD IT FOR 10 DAYS THAT'S WHEN THEY DECIDED IT WAS ACCESSORIES AND NO WTY. IT WENT ALMOST 2000 MILES NOT ACTING UP UNTIL TODAY 5/25/19.

GEAR IS STUCK IN PARK. NOT ABLE TO MOVE GEAR FROM PARK TO ANY OTHER GEAR. HAVING TO WAIT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME FOR TRANSMISSION TO COOL DOWN IN ORDER TO SWITCH GEARS.

Manual transmission started popping out of 2nd gear around 9500 miles. Transmission had to be replaced. At 11,500 creeking noise when turning left/right.

Purchased new 2018 jeep wrangler on monday april 1,2019. Noticed vehicle was leaking in driveway less then 24 hours after purchase. Called dealer and returned vehicle for evaluation of leak.

DRIVING AROUND 40 MILES PER HOUR ON THE STREET, SUDDENLY IT HAD NO POWER, I STOPPED AND THE TRANSMISSION WONT TAKE ANY OTHER GEAR EXCEPT PARK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAWLESS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (888-384-4956, LOCATED AT 196 LEXINGTON ST, WOBURN, MA 01801) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DAMPER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE SENT TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO ONE WAS SENT AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep wrangler. While driving approximately 70 MPH over a bump in the road, the entire front end of the vehicle shook and wobbled without warning. The vehicle was taken to reed chrysler dodge jeep ram hyundai (888-459-1976, located at 3100 s, us-169, st joseph, mo 64503) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be duplicated.

Drove into the gas station, put my jeep in park, put the emergency break on, turned it off and proceeded to fill up the tank, I did not top the tank off, got back in my jeep started it back up, engine started fine, released emergency break put jeep in drive put foot on gas to proceed out of the gas station jeep pulled out of the gas bay and I drove forward slowly, while turning left out of the bay.

I entered a parking space and was not within the lines. I backed up about 2 feet and felt a sudden stop and 'clunk.' I could not move the shifter at all. The dash display said 'park lock.' it instructed me to turn the car of and then put it back in gear.

Drive train vibration most noticeable between 59 - 64 MPH. Vibration in steering wheel, driver and passenger front seats, floor pans. 10/3 - 10/8/18 dealer inspected entire vehicle, balanced, road force tested tires found all within spec and balanced with no indexing required.

Electrical issues incl but not limited to: gauge readouts incorrect, ecm not allowing proper shifts. Engine problems with the valve lifters making noise and broken.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep wrangler. While the vehicle was parked outside of the contact's parent's house, it rolled away and stopped against the grill of her parent's vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated.

I was stopped at a 4 way light in marion illinois, had my jeep in neutral with foot on the brake. The light turned green, I pushed the clutch in and the engine didn't come back on. I tried for over fifiteen min.

Vehicle was parked and would not engage into a gear. I turned off and restarted and was able to get intro gear, and engine light was on, it would not get out of 6th gear, brought to dealer and they said transmission needed a re flash, and it was good, next day it would not go into gear, I shifted transfer case from 2h to 4h back to 2h and engine light was on, I was able to drive to dealership.

The panel display is short circuiting. It flickers on and off then goes black. ABS modular was malfunctioning, had to be place and damage the Axel Locker system- jeep wouldn't come out of park.

Car shuts off while driving

Was stopped at stop light jeep still running and all sudden neutral flashing and wouldn’t shift back up into park at all. Had to disconnect battery wait 30 seconds and hook back up for it to shift into park… started it up and everything is now good.

This vehicle underwent two recalls for clutch and pressure plate related problems yet it still happened to me twice and Jeep refuses to fix it. There is now a 3rd recall in the works. The clutch plate grenades and blows a hole through the transmission and other parts.

Clutch flywheel/ transmission issue. 2nd time in 3 months.The other night when it happened I was on a back road and had been in 4th gear for at least 10 minutes, and going approx 38 MPH. It was cold out.

The 4 wheel drive grinds when shifting from 2 to 4 wheel drive and will frequently shift out of 4 wheel drive on it's own.

my clutch went with 41000 on vehicle and jeep chrysler will not honor it. They say 12000/12000 is warranty. I have taking my jeep to 3 different transmission places and they all said its defective pressure plates.

Rear locker/axle faulty. Now on my 2nd time needing rear locker/axle repelaced. Vehicle started throwing codes in rainy weather.

'service axel locking system' warnings light on dash. Occurred on highway in motion, driving straight forward.

Axle locker system has failed, I get a continuous warning that it has failed. This is a problem nation wide that I came to realize as I research it online. It obviously is a problem that is effecting a lot of 2018.

The clutch broke into pieces as I was driving on the highway. The jeep barely reached 50,000 miles.

Noticed a burnt clutch smell. Could not accelerate after clutch burnt out. Car was in motion when trying to transition and accelerate and the clutch started burning and smoking and the gas pedal stopped accelerating.
