2018 Jeep Wrangler Electrical Problems

My 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is experiencing a complete and permanent failure of the instrument panel cluster, which has gone entirely black. This is the exact safety defect described in Recall 24V-652 (Jeep Recall Code 30B), yet my VIN is currently being excluded from coverage.

On August 6, 2025, while driving at approximately 65 MPH on the highway, the vehicle experienced a sudden and total loss of motive power. The engine warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle would not accelerate, forcing an emergency maneuver across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder.

The part that failed on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with 2.0L I4 Turbo or 3.6L V6 eTorque engine is the BPCM: Part Name: Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) Part Number: 05057870 or 68381513AA My dealer advised the the battery was "bloated" and at risk of catching fire & exploding. Under further review, the very SAME part was recalled for 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

I have experienced an Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) display failure, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This failure poses a direct safety risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. The display initially flickered and flashed, which created a driving distraction, and now it has gone completely blank.

All of our warning lights would come on at once we would lose steering power then it would go dark. We’d have to pull over shut it off then we’d have to wait at least 30 minutes before we could get it back in gear to drive it anywhere. This has happened more than three times.

The jeep screen delaminates which will cause 'ghost taps' on the screen. These ghost taps could do anything that can be changed in the vehicle while still or driving. For example, while driving at highway speeds, the rear view camera will activate on the screen causing a major distraction from driving.

The screen to my jeep is delaminating and is almost unusable. I can't even turn the screen off now and the car will try to make SOS calls and call people from my phone. It will turn on directions automatically.

Electrical System: Instrument Cluster/Panel. AN Instrument Panel That Fails TO Display Critical Safety Information, Such AS THE Speedometer or Warning Lights, CAN Increase THE Risk OF A Crash. My VIN said there is no recall for this and my vehicle has this problem.

My vehicle started showing the airbag light on and it ended up being the clock spring, many jeep wranglers have being recalled because the same issue. The clock spring is the one that controls cruise, airbag, horn, traction, etc.

I have had the rear defroster tab re soldered at dealer under warranty. I don't use the rear defroster because it is parked in garage. After a cold spell at the end of January 2024 heading out on road trip I turned on the rear defroster, 5 minutes down the road the rear window exploded sending glass everywhere.

My vehicle defrost was on for the back defroster on my way to work as it was one of the coldest days where I live. I work for the fire department and work 48 hrs on. The second day of my shift one of my coworkers noticed the back window broken out on my jeep.

there is a recall, 19A, that has no fix yet. the "this-might-happen" happened to me. clutch plate hot, hole through transmission, near melted fuel lines.

Uconnect system started to control the HVAC, Sound, Phone, any other buttons that are available in the system. 8/22/23 I was traveling to my destination with the windows up when I noticed my Uconnect screen starting to click buttons without my input, I attempted to turn it off, but was unable to do so. I pulled over and turned the vehicle off and made sure to open and close door.

When you put the car in reverse the screen turns blue. Many drivers of this same vehicle has said they all experience a blue screen of death. I took it to a body shop today and they said it’s because of faulty wiring during manufacturing.

Stop/Start feature began intermittently working only in March of 2020. Stopped working completely in May. On July 31, 2020 it began functioning.

Uconnect infotainment system frequent freezes and reboots, and this affects the backup camera display. Sometimes the backup camera guidelines disappear, sometimes the backup camera display shows a blue screen of death, sometimes it doesn't turn on when shifting to reverse, and sometimes the unit reboots itself or freezes. The reboots and freezes happen while in motion and are very distracting.

Have brought my car in numerous times to jeep t correct issue. Back up camera doesn't always function. The screen is black when reversing and sometimes the screen works but without guiding lines.

The wiring going to the steering column keeps shorting out making it so the horn, steering wheel electrical buttons and likely airbag stop working. The dealer says it is the clock spring. It has been going on since purchased with 12000 miles and replaced twice.

The jeep caught fire while driving normally yesterday on the i95 highway at normal speed.

Battery ground cable sparks when removed no matter how long you wait. Battery charge decreased to 60 % charge before disconnected. Vehicle is stationary in my garage.

Unintended acceleration: bought a 2018 jeep wrangler rubicon on 14 may 2018. On 15 may 2018, I brought it to the car wash. After pulling out of the car wash onto to adjacent road, vehicle accelerated without any interaction from myself.

The fuel pump relay that is embedded within the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) failed on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited after only 47391 miles, causing intermittent engine stalls and problems starting.

I lost power steering while driving due to bad can bus connector cause by poor solder joints.

Within 1 year of getting our Wrangler we experienced issues with the instrument panel short circuit and also the rear camera stopped functioning. I brought it to the dealership and they said it would require hours to repair them and it wasn't covered under warrantee.

The instrument panel cluster LED screen occasionally freezes and does not accurately reflect the gear the vehicle is in, speed, etc. Recently the screen froze and continued to display P (indicating vehicle in park) even while the vehicle was shifted to Reverse and Drive. This presents a serious safety risk as the gauge cluster indicates the vehicle is in park when it is in fact in gear.

The sensors, in particular the blind spot warning, randomly light up and stay on until the vehicle is turned off. Radio and navigation system randomly shuts off, and check engine light goes on and off randomly. While driving at night, my entire dash flashed a red warning that there was no oil in the vehicle.

ABS Module, confirm with dealer ship and automotive shop. Loss of power steering, lost use of drive shaft, car completely stalled on main road.

Jeep is aware of faulty cluster packs that operate the dash and guages. They have stated it was a software issue (but the flash did not fix), but as soon as it is out of warranty they now say the cluster pack needs replacing for over $1000.

For several months the vehicle will randomly throw of multiple warnings while driving such as, service gaer shifter, may not be able to shift until your destination, traction control not working, ABS not working, high speed fan randomly turns, windshield wipers randomly come on. Several times I even lost power steering while driving.

Driving down the road wipers turned on and wouldn’t go off, all warning lights started flashing, jeep started to slow down, not accelerate, wanted to stall. Radio turned up on its own. Another occurrence I stopped at a stop sign and the jeep wouldn’t go, I tried to put it in park and it wouldn’t go into park, had to turn the jeep off and back on.

Initial problem was the auto restart stopped working when the vehicle came to a complete stop. Then noted a couple of months later the dash board electronics started displaying random screens and warning lights. Finally the car refused to start and shift out of park and the display unit showed milage at 999999 and no indication as to the problem with vehicle.

My Jeep Stalled on me in the middle of the street at Night. All of the lights dimmed out including my Emergency lights, I couldn’t put into Neutral or turn it on I had to get it towed Home. Both batteries replaced it turns on but stalls.

Vehicle stalled in highway, stop and go traffic for no reason and was extremely hard to restart. A few days later, the radio and backup camera went out and came back an hour or so later. The radio, which controls all electronics and backup camera, went out again.

Your dashboard's electronic display has stopped working. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many 2018 Jeep Wranglers, though there is currently no recall available for this problem. Repairs will likely involve diagnosing the instrument cluster circuit or replacing the dashboard display module.

This is a follow-up to NHTSA Complaint Number 11684726, submitted to provide additional information after the dealer diagnosis confirmed the defect. My 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has experienced a complete Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) failure, which has been diagnosed and confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership.

Dash cluster will go blank upon starting. This has happened every few weeks since I bought it in Nov 2019. Reported to local dealership in ealry 2020, but when you turn off Jeep, the next time it restarts, everything looks fine and they could not reproduce the problem at the dealership and had no answers as they had not seen it before, as no codes were being given.

Unknown, but when I attempted to accelerate onto a highway, and the engine threw the check engine light along with the electric throttle light and the traction control system. The battery was still show 14.3volts, the oil pressure was in range and the temperature of the engine was normal. The vehicle wouldn't go faster than about 20-25mph with out shifting hard and or the RPMs rev high to shift.

We found cracks in the battery from swelling. We know for certain that the BPCM needs to be replaced. This issue is the same one the NRTA did a recall on for 2020+ Jeep Wrangler models.

Dashboard information disappears at random including mileage, speedometer, etc. Radio and backup cam freeze and reset regularly. Taken to dealership multiple times since 2018 and they never fix it.

If it appears, it usually resets to the actual mileage (approximately 58,500) after a short drive. There is an open recall to address this issue for the same year Jeep Wranglers, but doesn’t include my vehicle.

Instrument panel cluster goes on and off. Flicking on and off then sometimes have a blank screen. I cant see my information for the jeep.

Back up camera goes on and off. Sometime it works sometimes it dont. This happens when I start the vehical.

The radio touchscreen delaminated. Do to the delamination the screen would experience 'ghost touches' resulting in random controls being pressed. For example, At times, while driving highway speed the backup camera would activate and distract the driver and require screen input to deactivate while driving.

After having to have my transmission and clutch system replaced because it all blew up, upon receiving my jeep back afterwards more issues have now arised. Cluster lights all light up, as well as the speed indicator doesn't work. The traction control and sway bar connection go sporadically on and off.

Both driver and passenger front seat latches that allow seat to fold forward to access rear seats have broken at approximately 70,000 miles. This will be the second time for the driver side to be repaired. It was repaired back in 2018 under warranty when brand new and has now failed.

Began receiving hundreds of error codes. The vehicle, while operating, would have the lockers engage, disengage, wouldn't start suddenly, ABS activated, sway bar disengaging, and other things. This represented a tremendous saftey risk for any occupants and was quite frightening.

I get a service shifter message and then vehicle steering wheel locks mid driving. Read it is the wiring harness. And is a repeats issue with jeep wrangler. My 2018 wrangler is at the dealership.

Driving along at highway speed. lost power steering. All lights lit on dash. center LCD screen was giving warnings that all systems had failed. Anti lock brakes, gear selector, can bus systems, audio and GPS systems. Fortunately i was driving on a straight highway. I've looked into this issue. Its called the Christmas tree event. As all problem lights on dash light up. It looks like the fix is replacing 2 CANBUS ports behind glove box.

All the warning lights turn on tachometer stops working and sometimes it looses power steering. I was driving about 45mph when all the warning lights turned on and I lost power steering. I had to pull over luckily it was when going straight. Very scary took to dealer they said they could not replicate picked up car 3days later happened again

The jeep had a p2138 code which is pedal sensor bad and p2127 took to black dodge jeep they found it bad replaced with OEM part 800 mi later p2138 code is back on and takes off on it's own

I have taken vehicle into jeep 4 times in less than 2 years . Auto start stop (ESS) fails first then check engine comes on right after car shuts off on own WHILE driving & stalls hard . We have been rear ended because of it thankfully we were not on freeway after googling and asking jeep community this is VERY COMMON in these jeeps . Aux battery goes dead and causes this issue and burns out a fuse and the main battery . We have replaced battery 4+ times now because of this issue . This is a saftey hazard thankfully the times it shuts off on us isn’t on the freeway where it can cause a multi vehicle collision most recent incident was 04/02/2023

All lights on dash light up while driving or in park, no power steering, all displays flickering, can not move vehicle. While in park, can not engage shifter, if I turn off vehicle while it’s on the “fritz”, vehicle might not start for some time (15-40 minutes), this has been on going since 11/22, three visits to dealership, two at an independent shop. Dealership claimed the couldn’t replicate issue/“concern” Vehicle is simply not safe. I’ve recorded many videos documenting these safety/vehicle issues. It’s been nearly 6 months of trying to get a reputable diagnosis, repair and answers. I hope this isn’t a scam? I truly need help.

As I was driving, all my warning lights started going off. The dash said everything was unavailable (disconnect sway bar, traction control, shifter, etc). Power steering went out and the car was put into auto park while moving and the shifter wouldn’t work.

2018 Jeep JLU Sahara 3.6 - Several weeks prior to January 2022 I noticed the Electronic Stop Start ESS feature was no longer working. There was also a message indicating the ESS was not working due to the battery charging. I took the Jeep to my mechanic (Not Jeep dealership mechanic) on January 14, 2022.

I have had repeated issues attempting to start the vehicle and it will not turn over. This usually occurs after I have driven the vehicle for at least 45 min. All lights and components turn on but the engine will not turn over, no indication that the engine is engaging.

The vehicle intermittently fails to shift into gear when started. This also happens intermittently while driving (when stopped the engine turns off while the brake pedal is depressed. When the engine restarts to go forward it behaves as if it is in neutral and won't engage.) Additionally, on occasion, the instrument panel fails to function while in operation.

Several messages display simultaneously on and off as the vehicle is in motion which results in power being lost, then restored in a matter of minutes which are critical when traveling in traffic or on the interstate. Steering and brakes are the first to go, but the car remains operational.

When driving, vehicle will start throwing codes and lights, losing power steering and at times after this happens will not shift out of park. Also after this happens sometimes it will not start or shut off.

When driving or starting up the dashboard & radio will be pitch black not showing anything. Now when I started it up the other day I went to stop at a light and the Auto Shut Off warning light popped on and just stopped working. It will frequently reboot itself by radio standards and shut down the entire jeep system.

All electrical system failure. Loss of ABS, power steering, cruise control, transmission shifting, traction control, auto start, sway bar disconnect. Fan overruns.

I have had the rear defroster tab re soldered twice and the rear glass completely replaced. The second time the tab was resoldered 2/11/22, the next time I started the vehicle to warm up, the rear defroster was on and the entire rear window shattered

Just took my 2018 JEEP Wrangler Unlimited JL in for the improved steering feel recall. The jeep was working just fine until after the software update just miles after update lost all power and shut off and wouldn't restart. I couldn't even get it to turn over enough to put it in neutral to put it on a tow truck.

Vehicle failed to restart at the rest area with 18,000 miles on it. I called the service truck and made a report to the dealer the vehicle started within 15 minutes of setting . Went to dealership and had the Jeep checked out.

While driving, the auto start/stop function will disable and a message on the dash pops up that says 'stop/start unavailable. Service start/stop' and a yellow a with an arrow around it will light up on the dash. This happens intermittently but happens every day.

I keep having problems with my 2018 jeep wrangler and my check engine light came on then went away so today 30jan2021 I checked my system with a obd scanner and it popped up the code u0140 lost communication with the body control module.

When the vehicle is in reverse, whether stationary or moving, sometimes the parking assist grid lines do not show up at all on the screen that you are looking at which are supposed to help you when you are backing the vehicle up. The grid lines let you know how far to keep backing up, if you are going straight or at an angle, let you know when you should stop backing up, etc.

I have a push to start 2018 jeep. The other day my car wouldn't start, battery died on it. It was fixed but then the AC/heat unit won't turn on at all.

The 2018 jeep wrangler began having problems in oct of 2019 with a racing engine and electrical issues, may of 2020 the car had severe electrical issues and the dealership could not find anything wrong. The car was at the dealership for 5 days. In june the same electrical problems occurred and it was at the dealership for 6 days.

My reverse lights no longer come on when I have the vehicle in reverse. The backup camera is also suppose to engage when the vehicle is placed in reverse and the screen just stays on the radio screen and does not switch over to the backup camera. I took it to a repair shop and they could not figure out the issue either.

1. RADIO STARTS TO GLITCH WHEN OUTSIDE TEMP DROPS BELOW 36 - 38 DEGREES. IF THE TEMP STAYS COLD LONG ENOUGH THE GLITCH DOES NOT RETURN UNTIL THE TEMPS GO BACK UP AND THEN DROP AGAIN. 2. WHEN THE GLITCH STARTS - BACKUP LINES DISAPPEAR IN THE REAR VIEW CAMERA PREVIEW. 3. PULLING FUSE 97 BRINGS SYSTEM BACK TO NORMAL. 4. MAKING A PHONE CALL IS NOT AFFECTED. IT WORKS PERFECT EVEN IF SYSTEM IS GLITCHING. (IF THIS WORKS PERFECTLY SHOULD IT BE ASSUMED THAT THE AMPLIFIER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT?) 5. IF ENGINE IS ON BUT NOT RUNNING SYSTEM WORKS PERFECTLY.... ONCE YOU START IT UP IT WILL GLITCH AGAIN.

REAR WINDOW SWITCH NOT WORKING TO ROLL WINDOWS DOWN BUT REAR WINDOWS WORK IF U USE THE FRONT SWITCH'S

DRIVING DOWN ROAD YESTERDAY WITH NO RAIN, COMPLETELY DRY AND 89 DEGREES, ALL THE SUDDEN MY JEEP MAKES A DINGING NOISE AND THE SERVICE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON. I CALLED DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IF IT CAME BACK ON OR DIDN'T GO OFF TO SCHEDULE AN APT. I ASK IF SAFE TO DRIVE, RESPONSE WAS I GUESS NOT SURE, SHOULD NOT HURT ANYTHING. THIS SAME DEALERSHIP HAD TO ENTER A CODE INTO MY COMPUTER LAST WEEK BECAUSE MY JEEP WAS AUTOMATIC, BUT WHEN YOU GOT IN IT, IT SAYS DEPRESS CLUTCH AND TURN KEY, FOR STRAIGHT DRIVE. ALSO THE CENTER CONSOLE LIGHTS SOME TIME WOULD WORK AND SOMETIME NOT, AFTER THE UPDATE THAT STOPPED. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE ESC LIGHT, IT DID GO OFF.

RANDOM TIMES VEHICLE WON'T START,EVERYTHING TURNS ON BUT ENGINE WON'T TURN OVER. WILL EVENTUALLY START AFTER SOMETIME. HAPPENS AFTER DRIVING VEHICLE AND PARKING IT. HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO OTHERS. SO FAR HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES IN ABOUT A MONTH.

ISSUE WITH THE UCONNECT OPERATING SYSTEM. SYSTEM CONTINUALLY FREEZES AND FAILS TO RESPOND WHILE DRIVING. BACKUP CAMERA FREEZES AND AT TIMES DOES NOT TURN ON WHEN BACKING. APPLE CAR PLAY AND ANDROID AUTO MALFUNCTIONS. THE CALLS STAY CONNECTED BUT DROP FROM THE IN-CAR AUDIO BACK TO THE PHONE FORCING YOU TO UNPLUG AND THEN PLUG BACK IN THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING. SYSTEM OPERATES MOST OF THE CARS ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS. BEEN IN FOR SERVICE 3 TIMES AND HAVE SHOWN PROOF OF MALFUNCTION AND CHRYSLER AND DEALER REFUSE TO REPLACE UNIT. CHRYSLER SAYS THE PHONES AND CARRIERS ARE THE ISSUE. SYSTEM FAILS WITH BOTH IPHONE 7 ON VERIZON AND SAMSUNG NOTE 8 ON T-MOBILE. IT IS ILLEGAL TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE IN GEORGIA AND USE YOUR CELL PHONE AT THE SAME TIME AND THE SYSTEM FAILURE PUTS YOU AT RISK WHEN YOU ARE REQUIRED TO UNCONNECT AND RECONNECT PHONE WHILE DRIVING.

VEHICLE WON'T START. ISSUE STARTED ON 5/6/2019 WHEN I GET TO MY WORK PARK THE CAR AND AT THE TIME TO GO HOME CAR DIDN'T START. VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED WITH TRANSMISSION IN P, DOORS CLOSED, PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE START BUTTON AND NOT START. ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE ON I'M ABLE TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON, FOG LIGHTS AND STEREO. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY OF THE KEY TO ELIMINATE THAT VARIABLE IT DIDN'T WORK. TRIED TO START IT WITH THE NOSE OF THE KEY AT THE START BUTTON, NOT WORK. I LEFT THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE AWAY FROM IT LIKE 1-MILE DISTANCE CAME BACK AND THE VEHICLE STARTED. THIS ISSUE KEEPS HAPPENING EVERY SINGLE DAY, IN THE MORNING, AFTER WORK, ANY TIME. AND TODAY 5/9/19 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. VEHICLE WON'T START RANDOMLY. NEED A SOLUTION ASAP.

Vehicle will not start after light to moderate use. After using the vehicle for 20-30 minutes and it is turned off, the vehicle will not always start back up. If the transmission temperature indicator does not switch from 163 degrees to above 200 degrees, the vehicle will not immediately start back up if it is turned off.

All audio sounds including phone, navigation, radio pause every three seconds. Engine deactivation occurred while pulling a trailer going 35 MPH on a busy road. It restarted itself.

REAR DEFROST CABLE BECOMES DISCONNECTED FROM THE REAR GLASS WHERE IT IS SOLDERED. I HAD PURCHASED MY JL NEW NOT KNOWING IT WAS ALREADY DEFECTED AND THE DEALERSHIP HAD ALREADY ORDERED A REPLACEMENT WINDOW. ABOUT A WEEK TO A WEEK AND A HALF AFTER THE INSTALL THE OPPOSITE SIDE(DRIVER SIDE)DID THE SAME THING. MY GUESS WOULD BE THE DEFROSTER IS OVERHEATING CAUSING THE SOLDER TO LOOSEN.

Check engine light come on aften, have to unhook my battery to turn off

Occurred on multiple dates beginning two weeks after delivery of the vehicle: 8/6/2018, 8/30/2018 and 9/5/2018.

Occasionally car will not turn engine over. Only lights wil come on. Tried two sets of keys with same result.

Backup camera not detected. Started as intermittent problem, but is now fully non-functioning. Display says "unable to connect to backup camera".

Rear camera intermittently fails to turn on and display when car is put into reverse and driving in reverse. Jeep dealership says this issue is not reported and no known solution exists. Leaving the jeep off for several hours resolves the issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of engine power and all the warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (westborn chrysler dodge jeep ram, 23300 michigan ave, dearborn, mi) where it was diagnosed that the software failed.

CAN Bus is failing and giving me issues! Power steering stops working, auto stop start fails, I was taking off at an intersection and my vehicle lite up like a Christmas tree and would not shift out of first gear causing me to pull off the road at a dangerous spot.

When shifting into reverse, the rear camera feed would not appear on screen. I tried shifting into other gears and back into reverse multiple times, and it did not appear any time the vehicle was in reverse. The gear indicator did show that the vehicle was in reverse.

ABS module has failed and has shut off the cruse control system. module is on national back order with no idea of it availability. The unit is still in the vehicle.

After filing my first concern with the vehicle and attempting to rack my brain with answers to why a 2018 is falling apart at the seams, I can only come up with either fraud, or the vehicle has been modified in major ways and glued together only to fall apart every bump I go over.

Instrument cluster panel needs replacing as odometer reading is 9999999 when turning the car on. Showing as a known issue in this make/model vehicle yet this VIN is not included for some unknown reason. Would like this included for reimbursement.

The instrument cluster went out on the vehicle. I cannot see my speed, how much gas, temperature of the coolant, etc... The whole instrument cluster went completely blank.

Instrument panel cluster flickers on and off. Now have a blank screen. I cant see my information for the jeep.

The Jeeps Instrument Cluster went blank. There is nothing on the screen. No speed gauge, indication of the amount of gas, temperature, etc.

The instrumental panel started blinking two days ago and now is completely out. I'm unable to read speedometer or my gas gauge.

While driving my instrument cluster went blank, therefore not displaying critical safety driving information. There were no warning messages or alerts. It has been confirmed by an independent service center.

Was using the heated steering well smelt something burning, then the heated component did not work

My 2018 Jeep JL SPORT and it's electrical issues. It looses power steering and then the light show begins. Service Electronic Throttle, Service Shifter, Service Stop-Start System, Service ESC, Auto Park Disabled, No Bus, Speed Control Messaging Unavailable Service Required, Fluctuating Gauges.

My jeeps backup camera randomly works. This is a huge safety issue. I’ve taken it to Jeep who said there were no recalls and made me pay close to $300 out of pocket to “update” my radio system.

I have two issues to report. First issue was while driving on interstate the dash went completely out. Had no idea my speed, fuel level, navigation....nothing.

The electronic dash unit (Stereo) that controls Navigation, climate, media and all other consumer input, changes the screen without touching it. The 8.4 unit is the main point of contact for a driver with the vehicle. The navigation blinks and switches areas with no touch on the screen.

The U-Connect screen is de-laminating. It is also disconnecting the Bluetooth connections for the phone and directions, changing input selections and volume randomly. This is causing me to have to use my phone and try to reconnect or look at the screen to see what's going on.

1) Compromised Battery (a battery purchased in August of 2021 from Interstate Battery|Camp Bowie Blvd|FortWorthTx) 2) Moritz Service Team explained some batteries (via the 3 manufacturers) can have a fail rate or be bad batteries 3) Moritz could not replicate extent of the issues we experienced with a collapsed electrical system on 02.24.2022.

Passenger side running light and side light stopped working. Changed the bulb and didn't fix the issue. Also found the back running light to work so know it is not a fuse.

The vehicle display and back up camera will freeze and not be usable often. It will freeze and not allow me to see my back up camera. It will also freeze and not allow me to turn the radio down or change a channel.

Had issue earlier this year that cruise control did not work properly. It would not turn off when brake where applied. Now it does not even work.

USB port 2. Fault malfunction with connected to USB cable.shown off the radio creating fuse/relay malfunction.

The vehicle does not crank and have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to start.it happened four times in a week. There are lots of trends online with other jeep wrangler owner with the same problem. No diagnostic error when using obd scanner.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep wrangler. The contact stated that the rear window defroster cord had separated from the window and malfunctioned. The failure caused the rear defroster not to operate and created a visibility hazard for the driver.

Climate control cannot be adjusted. Temperature, fan speed all stay locked

Rear window defogger has short circuited, vehicle was dropped off on july 02, 2019 and picked up on august 13, 2019 with nothing done for issue. Jeep has sb 08-037-19 issued against the problem but no action hwas done.

The frames welds have porosity, lack of penetration, splatter, too much silica. Also the paint around the welds are chipping, exposing the metal. There is rust starting to form inside the frame rails.

Bought jeep jl 2018 brand new, I have noticed on at least three occasions that when driving on regular roads, streets, at speeds of 25-45 MPH and coming to a complete stop, at a light, or stop sign, or stopping for a car in front of you, after taking your foot off the gas, applying the brake, just before you come to a complete stop the jl lunges forward, while you are still on the brake.

I was driving down a residential road going about 20mph, the vehicle started smoking so I pulled over and got out to find smoke coming from the fuse box/ battery area. It I could smell burnt electrical wiring. Within seconds of pulling over the smoke turned into a flame and before I could to get anything out of the jeep the whole inside was full of smoke and the flame was spreading fast.

Backup camera stopped working when vehicle put into reverse. Using the manual controls will also not allow the backup camera to work. This is the third time this has happened.

2018 jeep wrangler jlu sport. The recent 5 inch radio firmware update has caused the radios touchscreen to become uncomfortably hot to the touch. After the update the radio refuses to shut off.

Windshield wipers and headlights stuck on despite controls set to off position. No turn signals or high beams either. Had to pull the windshield wiper fuse to be able to drive vehicle home.
