2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lights Problems

The contact rented a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he became aware that the running taillights were not functioning. After restarting the vehicle, it returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V544000 (Exterior Lighting), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

When making left or right turn using the turn signal, the headlight related to that turn signal goes off. This happens when the headlight control is set on "auto" for the headlight to come on at dusk. This is an extremely hazardous condition not only for on coming traffic but also for the driver because of elimination of lighted visibility to the area turning into. Jeep mechanics have repeatedly voiced excuses for a hazardous design flaw which needs to be recalled and corrected. Please Please Please research and take steps to remedy the issue. The Adaptive High Beams have stopped working on my Grand Jeep Cherokee L. When you push the lever forward, it should engage the high beams, but it does not. The only way to use the high beams is to pull the lever back (flicker action) and hold it. This is a dangerous way to drive without having high beams.
