Open Safety Recalls (3)
NHTSA Campaign: 25V291000
Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:FLUID/LUBRICANT:PUMP
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Hyundai Palisade vehicles. An insufficient seal on the controller for the electric oil pump may allow moisture to accumulate in the printed circuit board, which can cause an electrical short and result in a fire.
Risk: A fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
Fix: Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Dealers will replace the electric oil pump controller, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11, 2025. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 278.
NHTSA Campaign: 25V607000
Component: SEAT BELTS: REAR/OTHER:BUCKLE ASSEMBLY
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles. The seat belt buckles in the driver, passenger, and second-row window seats may fail to latch.
Risk: Seat belt buckles that fail to latch may not properly restrain occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Passengers are advised to insert the belt firmly into the buckle with a quick and direct motion, pulling on the belt to confirm the seat belt is fully secured, until the recall remedy is performed. Dealers will replace the seat belt buckle assemblies, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning October 23, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated June 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 283. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 13, 2025.
NHTSA Campaign: 26V034000
Component: AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW:CURTAIN
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles. The side curtain air bags for third-row occupants may deploy improperly in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Risk: Improper side curtain air bag deployment increases the risk of injury during a crash.
Fix: The remedy is currently under development. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning March 13, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 292. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on January 24, 2026.

Seats →3 issues
Your seat reclining system doesn't detect when someone is sitting in the seat, so it folds in on them even if a child is present. The seat continues trying to fold and close on the occupant without stopping. This creates a safety hazard where someone could get pinned or trapped by the folding seat mechanism.

Your 2025 Palisade's powered third-row seat may not stop closing when the rear compartment button is pressed, even if someone is sitting in that seat. The complainer tested this and found the seat continued closing with a passenger inside, creating a serious crushing hazard. This issue may be triggered accidentally by items stored in the rear compartment during driving. Hyundai may need to redesign or reprogram the seat's safety sensor system to detect occupants and prevent closure.

While you're sitting in the third row, the fold buttons can accidentally activate and cause the seats to close on you without stopping. The seat doesn't detect that a person is in the way and will continue closing until someone manually reverses the button. This could cause serious injury if no one is there to stop it. The fix would likely involve adding a safety sensor or obstruction detection system to the third-row seat folding mechanism.

Seats,unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your 2025 Palisade's third-row seats close completely even when objects are blocking their path, without stopping or reversing. The owner tested this repeatedly with various items and the seats never detected or reacted to the obstructions. This same issue has been recalled in the 2026 Palisade model, raising concerns about whether your 2025 model has the same defect. Fixing this will likely require Hyundai to reprogram or replace the seat's obstruction detection system or motor assembly.

Service Brakes →1 issue
Your brakes failed to respond properly when you tried to stop at a stop sign while exiting a parking lot at low speed. The antilock brake system engaged, but pressing harder on the brake pedal had no effect, and your vehicle continued into the intersection before eventually stopping. This is a serious safety issue, especially since you frequently have passengers in the vehicle.

Unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your 2025 Palisade has experienced multiple safety-related recalls involving electrical harness issues, dashboard warning lights, trunk malfunction, and third-row seating safety concerns during rollovers. The vehicle required major repairs including a complete electrical harness replacement in February, and you're still waiting for replacement parts like an airbag cap that arrived incorrect. Given these ongoing defects affecting safety systems and the vehicle's reliability, you're requesting either a trade-in at the original purchase price or compensation.

Seat Belts, seats, unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your 2025 Hyundai Palisade has multiple safety recalls. The front and second-row seat belt buckles can be repaired at a dealership, but there's currently no available fix for a third-row seating issue where the vehicle may not meet federal safety standards during a rollover crash, which could increase injury risk. Since you regularly transport children in this vehicle, you may want to contact your dealership about the available repairs and check with Hyundai for updates on when a remedy for the third-row issue becomes available.

Electrical System,seat Belts →1 issue
Your 2025 Palisade was taken to the dealer for a seatbelt recall repair, but the dealer kept it for a week without completing the work—first claiming technicians were busy, then saying the required part wasn't available, despite providing paperwork saying the repair was done. You've also experienced a gear shifter that required multiple button presses to engage and, most recently, a steering wheel that suddenly seized while driving, requiring force to turn. The vehicle is still at the dealer awaiting diagnostic results and remains unrepaired.

Seat Belts,structure →1 issue
Your Palisade has two unresolved safety issues: the seatbelts may unexpectedly unfasten during driving, and the interior structure may not adequately protect third-row passengers in a rollover accident. Neither issue has an available repair timeline or parts yet. You should contact Hyundai for recall updates and avoid using the third row until the structural issue is addressed.
