While sitting at a stoplight with no moving passing traffic around my vehicle. There was a loud pop/crash sound that came from the roof. I pulled my car into a parking lot and found my sunroof had a large hole in the middle and was shattered.

On February 2024, I took the SUV to Lynn's Hyundai for an issue with A front sensor or the braking system - The problem is when you're driving at times very often in the streets, the vehicle will automatically cause the brake sensor to go off the dashboard with light up and the brakes will engage causing the vehicle to jerk hard and or stop at times and I have a huge concern that this may cause a serious accident.

Vehicle exactly 1 year old with full warranty, was driving down road with no vehicles in front of me and sunroof exploded. It sounded like a shot gun went off inside the vehicle and glass pieces came down all over me and my wife. This appears to be a common issue with previous hyunda santa fe and tuscon models and the dealer claims a rock peck caused this and that is simply not true.

Vehicle came with tow hitch system from the manufacturer. While using a trailer hitch the heat from the exhaust melted the back end of the car, heated up the cargo hitch to the point of making it hard to remove from car, and melting the cargo weather proof bag. This happened within a 2.5hr trip.

During a heavy rain storm went through a low lying area at low speed (25 MPH) where several inches of water had ponded. The fca system slammed on the brakes temporarily even though there was no known obstacle. My guess is that the fca sensed the water as an obstacle causing the brakes to be incorrectly applied.

I HAVE COMPLAINED SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN SEPT 2019, WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO PARK AND YOU PRESS THE REVERSE BUTTON SOMETIMES IT TAKES TWO OR THREE TIMES PRESSING TO GET THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO REVERSE. On July fourth, while driving, the vehicle began to shake and make a rattling noise, shifted into park, and the dashboard lights lit up. While attempting to reach the safe side of the road while driving downhill on a busy road, the car lost power. I was able to pull over, restart the car, and reach a safe destination.

Recall 235 was performed incorrectly by a dealership in Tacoma, WA. My Palisade 2020 has an OEM trailer hitch and wiring harness. The dealership completed the inspection in spite of the fact that the instructions say not to when there is an OEM hitch and wiring harness.

August 2025: While driving down the road and approaching a light, I slowed down to turn and make a left. As I braked, all lights on the instrument panel lit up and the car completely turned off. After several attempts to start the car again, the car started.

The weather became cold outside. After first frost overnight, an oil leak started underneath the hood next to the front passenger side tire. Got in be serviced 11/19.

The air compressor on my 2020 Hyundai Palisade with 55,321 miles has completely malfunctioned. The issue was diagnosed by Five Star Hyundai Dealership in Macon, Georgia on 9/26/25 and is currently available for inspection. The repair will cost $1,781.

The sunroof wind deflector broke when I simply opened the sunroof, and the sunroof is now stuck in the open position. I wish TSB 23-BD-003H-1 would've included my VIN so I could've addressed this issue prior to it breaking. Now I am faced with a $3400 repair bill from Hyundai.

Engine is burning Oil at a rate that requires me to put 2 quarts of full synthetic oil every 2-3 weeks in my car. Hyundai is ignoring this problem and dealership says my engine is burning in a normal range. This is a known issue with these engines at hyundai over the past few years and if it is burning that much oil without any leaks there is no way that is safe.

Due to a recall that Hyundai has not fully resolved, I am unable to use the OEM tow hitch that I paid for when I purchased my car because there is not an updated fuse for the trailer hitch. Hence, trailers won't have lights, making them illegal and unsafe. The Hyundai dealership "resolved" the recall by removing the fuse several months ago, but never replaced it.

Trunk strut/ spring plastic broke off making trunk not being able to close properly. Had to manually close trunk due to issue and eventually spring completely broke off and unable to close trunk. Safety hazard because trunk slams without having strut spring which could cause serious damage/injury to person/children if closed on.

We received a Safety Recall for the Tow Hitch on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. We took the vehicle to the dealership last summer and they removed the fuse and therefore, disabled the towing ability of the vehicle. It has been over 5 months since this was done.

This issue was first noticed on December 13th, 2021, and has been an ongoing frustration. I am constantly getting this error: "Parking Sensor Error or Blockage." Please take a look at the attached picture as a reference. On February 8th, 2022, I brought my Hyundai Palisade to the dealer's service department for them to find out what may be wrong.

THE CAR WAS PARKED ON MY DRIVEWAY. THE WEATHER DURING THE DAY WAS 65 BUT THEN FROZE AT NIGHT. SOMETIME DURING THE NIGHT MY ENTIRE BACK WINDSHIELD SHATTERED. THERE WAS GLASS ALL THE WAY UP TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, IN THE CUP HOLDERS, EVERYWHERE. THE ARM OF THE WIPER ALSO BROKE IN HALF. ONLY 2,500 MILES AND NEEDS A FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT. A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDOW, A SMALL CHIP WHICH IMMEDIATELY SPREAD INTO A CRACK ACROSS THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. AND HAVE TO WAIT 6 WEEKS TO GET IT REPLACED BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD IS ON BACKORDER - THERE MUST BE AN ISSUE THAT A BRAND NEW VEHICLE ALREADY HAS A BACKORDER ON A REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD!

X2 THE AUTOMATED EMERGENCY BRAKING HAS ACTIVATED FOR NO REASON. 1ST TIME DURING A RAIN EVENT THE AUDIBLE ALARM, HEAD-UP DISPLAY AND AUTOMATED EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED. DURING THIS EVENT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT TURN ON, THEY WERE ON AUTOMATIC, I SWITCHED TO MANUAL THEY STILL WOULD NOT WORK. SHORTLY AFTER IT STOPPED RACING THEY BEGAN TO WORK AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME THE EMERGENCY AUTOMATED BRAKING ENGAGED I WAS ON I-70 NEAR SPFLD. OHIO. TRAFFIC WAS MOVING FAST 65-70 MPH, I WAS IN LEFT LANE, HAD A NEARER WALL TO MY LEFT, SEMI TO RIGHT, PASSENGER CAR TO THE FRONT AND SEMI TO MY REAR, THE WEATHER WAS SUNNY OVERALL BEAUTIFUL DAY. WHEN IT ENGAGED ONCE AGAIN ABRUPTLY BRAKED (SAME ALARMS ENGAGED). THIS TIME WITH THE SEMI TO MY REAR IT SCARED ME SO BAD I FELT AS IF I WAS GOING TO GET RAN OVER BY THE SEMI. IN BOTH CASES THE BREAKING WAS ABRUPT AND QUITE AGGRESSIVE, BOTH EVENTS LASTED VERY BRIEFLY 1-3 SECONDS ON THE HIGHWAY INCIDENT I DID FEEL THE BACK IN WIGGLE IT DID NOT BREAK LOSE YOU COULD JUST FILL IT KIND OF HARD SWAY LEFT TO RIGHT OR RIGHT TO LEFT CANNOT REMEMBER THAT EXACTLY. IT CURRENTLY IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE REASONS REPORTED ABOVE AND SERVICING. THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE INCIDENTS.

I was coming back from the river on rice road (177) on friday 6/26. Traffic was light and there was a car in front of me but quite a distance from me so when I heard the windshield crack, I was confused as to what it was. I chopped it up to far flying pebble that got me, no big deal I have insurance coverage to repair and fill in this small chip.

Dear NHTSA, I am writing to report a safety concern regarding my 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Recently, when I attempted to operate the sunroof, it only opened partially and made a crackling sound. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that some of the internal plastic components were breaking apart, and now the sunroof does not close properly.

On the 2020 Palisade SEL Premium the blue tooth voice recognition for calling out and siri request only works when the iPhone or Android phone is connected through the counsel USB. (CARPLAY) When not connected with the USB cord, but connected through the Bluetooth to the phone, the phone can receive and call out by touching the screen.

Vehicle windshield started cracking at the top middle and moved down the windshield. We did not notice any rock hits to have caused it. Within 2 days the crack spread across the windshield on the passenger side to the edge.

At highhway small rock hit my car and there was small circle and another small rock hit on the driver side. Later on after few hours I saw 3 inches crack at windshield and within 8 hours it increased to more then 12 inches.

I do not feel that this vehicle is completely safe. There door/window area is not sealed properly. I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle on the highway or at a high speed because the door area seems unstable.
