I have a 2020 Palisade Limited and I experienced trying to open my tail gate all three ways: with the key, the button inside vehicle and the auto tailgate release by standing near the rear with the key and all failed to open the tailgate. I had my husband hold the button inside while I forcefully pushed the tailgate from the inside and finally it popped open.
