The driver side wiper stopped functioning during a rain storm. Fortunately, I was not on a major road and was able to navigate. If I had been on the highway, I would have been blinded and potentially in a major accident if not able to pull over expeditiously.

Two cracks to windshield that started spontaneously from the upper and lower edges of windshield when vehicle was only a few months old. Both cracks immediately lengthened 2.5 to 3 feet within 15 minutes of crack starting. Multiple small chips over past 2 years that have not occurred in our other vehicles that are driven similar routes and distances.

SEVERAL TIMES WHEN IT SNOWED THIS WINTER, I HAD ISSUES WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FREEZING UP ON ME. THIS SEEMS LIKE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.

Small pebble struck windshield and large crack occurred on driver side. Had windshield replaced on 2/25/21. On 3/20/21, another large crack appeared on drivers side for no apparent reason.

I HAVE A 2020 PALISADE AND I LIVE IN MAINE. TODAY WAS THE THIRD SEPARATE EPISODE THAT MY WIPERS COMPLETELY DISABLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I SPENT QUITE A WHILE PRIOR TO DRIVING CLEANING OUT THE AREA NEAR THE WIPERS, AND HAD TO STOP THREE TIMES ON MY HOUR LONG COMMUTE TO WORK TO CLEAR MORE ICE/SNOW FROM THE AREA WHERE THE WIPERS REST. THE FIRST TWO TIMES I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE. THE WIPERS WERE WORKING WHEN I LEFT MY HOUSE AND BECAME DISABLED AS I WAS DRIVING. THE WEATHER WAS A MIX OF SLEET, RAIN AND SNOW BUT WITH MINIMAL BUILDUP THAT WOULD'VE CAUSED THE WIPERS TO BE DISABLED. I HAD NO WARNING OR VISIBILITY AND AN ACCIDENT COULD HAVE EASILY OCCURRED. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ISSUE.

WHILE DRIVING A SMALL PEBBLE STRUCK MY WINDSHIELD AND IMMEDIATELY CRACKED IT. THIS WAS NOT A ROCK, BOULDER OR ANYTHING OF SIZE, IT WAS A PEBBLE. I HAVE SEEN THAT OTHER 2020 PALISADE OWNERS HAVE ALSO HAD THEIR WINDSHIELD CRACK UNDER THESE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES. ITS UNREAL THAT HYUNDAI IS ALLOWED TO SELL CARS WITH INSUFFICIENT WINDSHIELDS WITH THIN GLASS. THIS CAN POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN YOUR UNABLE TO SEE OUT OF YOUR CRACKED WINDSHIELD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.

CRACKED DRIVER WINDOW, NO VISUAL SIGN ON DING

VEHICLE WINSHIELD CRACKED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT JUST CRACKED WITHOUT IMPACT FROM AN OBJECT. INITIAL CRACK WAS APROX 10 INCHES LONG AND NOW EXTENDS AROUND 16 LOCATED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF DRIVER. MANUFACTURER WILL NOT COVER AND COST IS OVER $1,200 DOLLARS. HAVE DELAYED DUE TO COST BUT IT IS IMPACTING DRIVERS VISION.

NEW 2020 PALISADE GOT A CRACKED WINDSHIELD WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF PURCHASE (300 MILES) FROM A TINY PEBBLE AT 30 MPH ON A SIDE ROAD. REPLACED ON 9/17/2020. A SECOND CRACK APPEARED YESTERDAY (1/10/21) ON THE REPLACEMENT WINSHIELD AT 6351 MILES. NOTHING WAS HEARD OR SEEN TO CAUSE THIS ONE AGAIN DRIVING G ON A SIDE ROAD. SO I HAVE HAD TWO BROKEN WINDSHIELDS ON THIS NEW VEHICLE IN A VERY SHORT TIME UNDER LIGHT DRIVING CONDITIONS.

WIPER SYSTEM APPEARS TO HAVE BUILT IN PROTECTION FOR THE MOTORS THAT WILL STOP THEM ANYTIME SNOW BUILDS UP IN THE WINDSHIELD WELL. THIS HAPPENS EVEN IF THE WINDSHIELD AND WINDSHIELD WELL ARE COMPLETELY CLEARED PRIOR TO STARTING A DRIVE. I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY TO STOP THE VEHICLE, CLEAR THE SNOW, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON TO START THE WIPERS TO WORK AGAIN. AGAIN, TO BE CLEAR, ALL SNOW WAS REMOVED FROM THE WINDSHIELD PRIOR TO DRIVING.

WE WERE DRIVING ON US-27 AND A PEBBLE SIZED STONE HIT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND HAD CAUSED A 18 INCH LINEAR CRACK ON THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD EXTENDING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE FRAME.

AT 5,600 MILES A CRACK DEVELOPED BEHIND THE REARVIEW MIRROR ON THE WINDSHIELD. WITHIN A DAY THE CRACK TRAVELED FURTHER DOWN AND CURVED TOWARD THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. UPON INSPECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD IT LOOKED AS IF A ROCK HAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD BUT NOT BIG ENOUGH THAT WE RECALLED HEARING ANY IMPACT WHILE DRIVING. THE WINDSHIELD IS NOW A SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

WITHIN A MONTH OF USING MY VEHICLE IT GOT A SMALL CHIP/CRACK ON THE WINDSHIELD. I DONT RECALL HOW IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. I FIND IT RIDICULOUS HOW WITHIN ONE MONTH I HAD TO GET MY GLASS FIXED.

A SMALL RICE SIZE PEBBLE HIT WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED WINDSHIELD. ANY NORMAL WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT HAVE CRACKED AT ALL. UPON ATTEMPT TO GET IT REPAIRED, THE CRACK SPREAD 2 FEET. THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE VERY POORLY DESIGNED AND HAVE A MAJOR INTEGRITY ISSUE.

WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK OUT OF NOWHERE. NEVER SAW IT GET HIT, BUT LARGE SPREADING CRACK WAS THERE ONE MORNING ... VERY WEAK GLASS.

WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A HAIRLINE CRACK RUNNING HORIZONTALLY OVER MOST OF THE WIDTH, THEN TURNING UPWARD FOR ABOUT A FOOT ON PASSENGER SIDE. NO STONE CHIPS OR IMPACT MARKS, JUST A SPONTANEOUS CRACK THAT I NOTICED IN BRIGHT SUN. IT IS SPREADING.

WINDSHIELD JUST CRACKED 8 INCHES AND I WAS JUST SITTING AT A RED LIGHT

PALISADE SAT IN GARAGE FOR 6 DAYS..DROVE OUT TODAY WINDSHIELD CRACKED. DEALER FOUND SUPERFICIAL CHIP THE SIZE OF A PIN HEAD. POOR QUALITY WINDSHIELD

WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES AFTER A SMALL PEBBLE HITS WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN THE HIGHWAY.

SUV HAS LESS THAN 4K MILES DRIVING DOWN A 35 MPH ROAD FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED. ITS BEEN ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AND STILL NO ANSWER ON WHEN I WILL GET THE SUV BACK. CALLED CORPORATE THEY SAID IT WAS MY FAULT I DID NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I DID CALL THE DEALER WHEN IT HAPPENED AND THEY SAID THEY DO NOT REPLACE WINDSHIELDS. SO WHY WOULD I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IF DO NOT REPLACE IT?

WINDSHIELD IN OUR BRAND NEW PALISADE HIT BY A SMALL ROCK ON THE FREEWAY WHICH IMMEDIATELY LED TO A 12" CRACK. THAT CRACK HAS NOW SPREAD TO ENCOMPASS 1/2 OF THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS TOLD THAT THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE KIA TELLURIDE BUT DIFFERENT PART NUMBER. KIA IS COVERING THEIR TELLURIDE CUSTOMERS WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT WHILE THEY INVESTIGATE. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE INTEGRITY AND SAFETY OF THIS WINDSHIELD.

MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED TWO WEEKS AGO ON 9/6/2020, WHILE I WAS CHANGING THE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES ON THE LOWER PASSENGER SIDE. THE CRACK STRETCHED FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO JUST PAST THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. I HAD IT REPLACED FOUR DAYS AGO ON 9/11/2020, AND IT IS CRACKED AGAIN STARTING IN THE SAME AREA WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE.

I HAVE HAVE OWNED THE PALISADE FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS AND HAVE ALREADY HAD 2 EPISODES WHERE THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHEN STRUCK BY A VERY SMALL PEBBLE. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY CARS OVER A 35 YEAR PERIOD AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ISSUES LIKE THESE. THE GLASS APPEARS VERY THIN. THIS IS NOT SAFE!

DRIVING HYUNDAI PALISADE ON A FEEDER ROAD OF THE HIGHWAY, AROUND 20 MPH, A SMALL PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD. INSTEAD OF HAVING A SMALL KNICK, A CRACK FORMED AND IT IMMEDIATELY RAN 1/2 THE WINDSHIELD. THE VERY NEXT DAY, ANOTHER PEBBLE HIT WHILE DRIVING ON THE FEEDER ROAD AND A SECOND CRACK FORMED AND DID THE EXACT SAME THING. THE TINY PING OF A PEBBLE CAUSED 2 LARGE CRACKS THAT ARE NOW AFFECTING VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. AFTER RESEARCHING, WE SEE THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST HYUNDAI FOR THEIR FAULTY AND WEAK WINDSHIELDS AND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THE INABILITY FOR THE WINDSHIELD TO TAKE ANY TINY IMPACT. WE ALSO KNOW KIA, THEIR SISTER COMPANY IS REPLACING WINDSHIELDS ON THE TELLURIDE FOR THE BAD WINDSHIELDS. HYUNDAI HAS YET TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE WINDSHIELD IS NOT REACTING APPROPRIATELY TO SMALL PEBBLES. WE ARE EXTREMLEY CONCERNED HOW THE WINDSHIELD WILL HOLD UP TO NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.

APPROXIMATELY 6,000 MILES IN, MY WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK APPROXIMATELY 5" LONG FROM THE CAMERA HOUSING DOWN. I DO NOT RECALL A ROCK STRIKE EVENT HAPPENING, AND I AM THE SOLE DRIVER OF THE CAR. I JUST HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED TODAY, AND BEFORE THE GLUE WAS DRY TWO CRACKS APPEARED SPONTANEOUSLY WITHOUT HAVING THE CAR IN MOTION, ON MIRRORED SIDES OF THE WINDSHIELD. OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS THAT MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE GARAGE, ONE CRACK HAS GROWN BY AT LEAST 2". IT SEEMS THERE IS SOMETHING STRUCTURALLY UNSOUND ABOUT THE SHAPE OF THE WINDSHIELD WITH PRESSURE CRACKS SEEMING TO OCCUR SPONTANEOUSLY.

WE HAVE HAD TWO INCIDENTS WITH OUR WINDSHIELD SINCE OWNING IT BRAND NEW FOR ONLY 8 MONTHS. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE-95 AND A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING A SMALL CHIP TO THE DRIVER-SIDE BOTTOM CORNER THAT SPIDERED QUICKLY BUT WAS SMALL ENOUGH TO BE FIXED AND SEALED. THE SECOND INCIDENT WAS ALSO WHILE WE WERE DRIVING, THIS TIME ON INTERSTATE-81, AND A SMALL ROCK HIT THE CENTER MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND QUICKLY SPREAD AS A CRACK NEARLY 2-FEET LONG AND ANGLED. THIS CRACK COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

VEHICLE WINDSHIELD WAS STRUCK ON THE LOWER EDGE BY SMALL PEBBLE. THIS CAUSED A CHIP. DAYS LATER WITH THE VEHICLE SITTING THE WINDOW CRACKED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING FOR 3 WEEKS AND THE WINDSHIELD HAS CONTINUED TO CRACK. VEHICLE WAS MOVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WINDSHIELDS SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE THIS KIND OF IMPACT WITHOUT RUINING THE WINDSHIELD.

SMALL CHIP APPEARED ON SECOND DAY OF PURCHASE FOLLOWING A PEBBLE HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. THE CHIP WAS FIXED BY SAFELITE. AFTER A MONTH, HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY (STATIONARY). THE CRACK SEEMED TO HAVE ORIGINATED FROM THE SAME SPOT OF THE PREVIOUS CHIP. THE CAR HAS 2300 MILES ON IT AND NEEDS A NEW WINDSHIELD NOW.

WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT JUST 400 MILES WHILE IRONICALLY THE CAR WAS AT A DETAIL SHOP AND THEY WERE INSTALLING EXOSHIELD THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT ROCK CHIPS AND CRACKS. THE WINDSHIELD SHATTERED IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER WAY DOWN BY THE HOOD AREA WHILE THE INSTALLER WAS RE-ATTACHING THE TRIM AROUND THE GLASS AND POPPING THE CLIPS BACK IN. THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR GLASS TO CRACK LIKE THIS FROM NORMAL ACTIVITY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WASN'T EVEN HIT. THE GLASS SHOULDN'T BREAK FROM TOUCHING IT, CLEANING IT, ETC. ALSO, ON DAY 1 RIGHT AFTER BUYING THE CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM THE DEALER SOMETHING HIT IT AND CAUSED A SMALL ROCK CHIP WHICH I REPAIRED MYSELF. NEVER HAD THIS OCCUR ON DAY 1. THAT IS WHY I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR PROTECTION FIELD TO AVOID THIS. UNACCEPTABLE.

CRACK STARTING FROM MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD AND SPIDERED DOWN. NO SIGN OF PEBBLES OR ROCKS IMPACTING WINDSHIELD. VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION PARKED IN DRIVEWAY NO DAMAGE TO WINDOW NIGHT BEFORE IN MORNING CAME OUT TO CRACK DOWN MIDDLE OF WINDOW THAT SPIDERED IN TO THE SHAPE OF A J.

WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM SMALL PEBBLE. DRIVING ~65MPH. INITIALLY JUST AN IMPACT, BUT WITHIN HOURS CRACK DEVELOPED ~25 INCHES IN LENGTH FROM ORIGIN. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 150 MILES ON IT.

I purchased a new 2020 hyundai palisade about 2 months ago. I was driving the speed limit on the highway. A small pebble hit the windshield and it cracked the glass on the lower right side.

About a month after buying the vehicle, with less than 900 miles, a large crack developed behind the mirror of the windshield that was noticed while the vehicle was parked. We had not been hit by anything noticeable or audible, and by the time we were able to see the crack the windshield was ruined. We noticed a very small blemish in the dark area near the mirror that may have caused the crack.

Had a small rock hit the windshield while driving on the interstate in traffic. My speed was maybe 50 MPH. The impact created a very small mark on the windshield.

2020 palisade with 15,000 miles hit by a rock, leaving 2 decent sized cracks about an inch and a half in diameter on the passenger side. The windshield took a week to arrive and be replaced, which in the meantime the crack expanded almost the entire length of the windshield, crossing over to the driver's side. The windshield was replaced and taken to dealership to have sensors recalibrated.

I purchased my car february 2020. In may 2020, with approx 3,000 miles on it, while driving my vehicle, a small rock hit my windshield. Upon impact, the crack spread across the windshield.

Hyundai is refusing to pay for the defected windshield. Research show thousands of owners are dealing with windshield, wipers, and wind sounds.

Small rock chip turned into over a foot long crack over night. The chip must of occurred on a small 50 mile road trip and the next morning when the sun come up the heat expanded the chip to over a foot long. Chip occurred at the very top of the windshield in the black area, crack formed going downward in a j motion towards the driver's side.

The windshield on this vehicle is defective in that any minuscule impact has the potential to completely crack it. I have now had two windshields replaced within the last 5 months for presumed impacts that were not even perceptible from within the vehicle. I'm not even certain if the cracks were impact related at all.

Windshield will crack when barely hit with rocks on road. I've had vehicle less than 10 months and 1st crack happened 3weeks after I got vehicle. After 2 nd crack, 1 month later, I tried to get it filled but it started to run so he had to stop.

SCRATCHES AND HAIRLINE CRACKS IN THE WINDSHIELD.

I HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE VERY MUCH AT ALL AND PUSHED UP TO ADJUST MY REARVIEW MIRROR AND IT CRACKED MY WINDSHEILD.

Driving on the highway and a small pebble hit the windshield. Went home called hyundai dealership inquired about my bumper to bumper warranty and was told that windshields were not covered. The next day that small crack dot grew to line cracks about 12-14' long.

A small rock impact at the base of the windshield immediately spread and became a large semi-circle shaped crack. There was no opportunity to repair before spread. Attempts by my dealer and me to appeal to hyundai to cover the repair for this based on numerous complaints of rapid cracks for this vehicle and the kia telluride were denied.

WHILE IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY A VERY SMALL FOREIGN OBJECT HIT THE LOWER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER. THE SOUND OF THE HIT WAS BARELY AUDIBLE SO THE OBJECT HAD TO BE VERY SMALL. I DON'T SEE HOW SUCH A SMALL OBJECT COULD BREAK A WINDSHIELD ON A 2 WEEK OLD VEHICLE

Windshield developed a 30 in crack without hitting anything on the road. Other owners report a similar problem on a Facebook group.

Car was originally purchased new on May 30, 2020. On July 30th, 2020, I noticed a chip in the windshield. The car only had roughly 600 miles.

Windshield cracked

Windshield cracks easily. It is a known issue and Hyundai has yet to recall it. Will have had to replace my windshield twice in two years for incidents that should have resulted in no crack or a small crack.

A few days ago a small pebble was thrown up from a car in front of me while traveling from work which LED to a small 1" spider crack in the windshield. By the next morning, this spider had grown to about 1' long. And now by the end of this week it has grown to more than 2' long.

Windshield crack appeared near the roof line just to the drivers side of the rear view mirror and traveled immediately ~18 inches diagonally towards the passenger wiper blade. There appears to be a very tiny nick where the crack started, but if something hit the windshield it was so small we never heard it and the crack traveled instantly across the windshield.

When driving down the tollway in my city early in the morning, no cars around for at least 200 yards, something small hit my windshield causing a spiderweb crack in the center of windshield. Will have owned the vehicle for 2 weeks as of tomorrow and has less than 3k miles on it.

While we were in a store shopping the windshield spontaneously cracked. No reason, not caused by a rock chip or any other impact.

At 12,800 miles, while parked, a 18'' to 24'' windshield crack spontaneously appeared originating from the lower, passenger side edge, sloping up towards driver side. Nothing came into contact with the glass, and no chipped starting point is visible.

Driving on a two lane rural road during a snowstorm, a town snow plow stopped suddenly in front of me. When I stopped short, snow slid off of my roof onto the windshield. When this happened, my wipers stopped working altogether, leaving me with no forward visibility at all.

With snow, the wipers just stop working if too much snow piles up in the well even when driving.

While driving during snowfall, snow accumulated over wiper area and blocks wipers from moving. We had to pull over on highway in middle of snowstorm and clear the wiper area. Extremely dangerous for myself and family.

Had the vehicle for 3 weeks and while driving on a highway, the first tiny pebble to hit windshield cracked it from the drivers side window frame all the way to the middle of windshield. Was afraid that the glass was going to collapse in. Very thin glass and afraid to drive of the highway now.

Small chip on the windshield caused a big ripple. Has 2500 miles roughly on the car and its an limited version. Its the first chip I have noticed and owning different model cars in the past I have never seen a chip causing such a big ripple like this one.

Car has less than 2000 miles and windshield has cracked. I was going 55mph ok a highway and an extremely small pebble hit the windshield causing it to crack. I have owned numerous hyundai's before and never had an issue with the windshield cracking.

Within 45 days of purchasing the vehicle, I was driving on I-69 in houston and heard a light gravel rock sound hitting the windshield. Within minutes the small star spread over a foot in each direction. Living in houston we are accustomed to rock chips and how to handle them.

Vehicle has 5,000 miles on it and has had the windshield crack twice at lower speeds (less than 50mph) with small pebbles being kicked up off the city streets. Each crack resulted in a full windshield replacement .

The windshield is extremely fragile and prone to cracking which requires full replacement. I only have 350 miles on the car and already have a nick from normal everyday driving. I didn't even hear or see any hit to the windshield but it still got nicked.

While driving on the interstate at 65 MPH, a small pebble struck my windshield and created a 2 inch "spider" crack. The sound of the impact was minimal and had the object that struck my windshield been larger, I believe the object would have penetrated my window and potentially caused injury to my front seat occupant.

The windshield appears to be very probe to cracking. When purchased our vehicle the windshield cracked from what appears to have been a small pebble on the road but wasn't loud enough to noticed. It was until later that we saw the crack had expended from the passenger side to the middle of the windshield.

On 3/2/20 I was traveling at 49 MPH on a city street a small pebble struck the windshield in the top right (passenger) side by the a-pillar. The next morning I had a 24 inch crack across the windshield.

Windshield cracks easily. Kia has the same issue with teluride and kia is replacing for free if there are cracking issues.
