Your third-row seat belt buckles aren't properly detecting when a child is buckled in, causing false alarm warnings that a child is unbuckled when they actually are. You've had to replace multiple buckles, with some failing repeatedly, requiring multiple dealer visits to address the same issue. The fix will involve replacing or repairing the faulty seat belt buckle sensors and connections.

Your seat belt warning alarm keeps activating even when the seat belt is properly buckled. This first happened in the middle row right seat within the first year, and the dealer replaced that seat belt. Now at 38,000 miles, the middle row middle seat has developed the same problem, and the previously replaced right seat belt occasionally alarms again. The fix will likely involve replacing the faulty seat belt pretensioner or buckle sensor.

Your rear seat belt warning system is falsely alerting you that a passenger's seat belt is unbuckled when it actually is buckled. The warning alarm sounds and displays on your dashboard multiple times, which distracts you while driving and may cause you to ignore the warning when it's actually needed. This increases the risk of missing when a passenger is genuinely unbuckled. The issue likely involves a faulty seat belt buckle sensor or connector that needs diagnosis and replacement.

Your passenger seatbelts in the second row are causing the warning chime to sound repeatedly even when they're properly buckled. Additionally, your dashboard is displaying a message saying the emergency brake is unavailable, though this may be a related sensor issue rather than an actual brake problem.

Your rear seat belt warning light and alarm sound continuously even when a passenger is properly buckled in. Every time the buckled passenger shifts position in the seat, the warning light turns on and the alarm sounds again. This makes the safety feature unreliable because you can't tell if there's an actual problem.

Your rear or third-row seatbelt warning light keeps turning on repeatedly, even when passengers are properly buckled in. This problem started shortly after you bought the vehicle and continues to be a distraction while driving. The issue appears to be with the seatbelt sensor or warning system rather than the actual belt. A technician will likely need to inspect the seatbelt buckle sensors and wiring to identify and repair the faulty component.

Your middle row right seat belt warning system triggers false alarms—it beeps and shows a warning light even when the passenger is properly buckled in. This happens intermittently, making it distracting during drives and creating uncertainty about whether the belt is actually secure. Your dealership couldn't replicate it to diagnose the problem. The fix will likely involve inspecting or replacing the seat belt buckle sensor or the warning system module.

Safety Concern: 2023 Honda Pilot – Persistent False Seat Belt Warnings (2nd & 3rd Row Seats) Issue Description: Repeated false seat belt warnings originating from: Second-row middle seat Third-row passenger-side seat The system triggers loud, repetitive auditory alerts and dashboard warnings even when seats are unoccupied or belts are properly buckled. Attempted fixes (unbuckling/rebuckling, restarting the vehicle, power cycles) fail to resolve the issue. Alerts recur intermittently, causing significant distraction. Safety Risks: Driver Distraction: Constant false alarms increase crash risk by diverting attention from the road. Alert Fatigue: Occupants may ignore all seat belt warnings due to repeated false positives, compromising safety. Sensor/System Failure: Indicates potential defects in seat occupancy sensors, wiring harnesses, or body control module (BCM) software affecting multiple seating zones. Expanded Scope: Affects critical seating positions (2nd row middle is common for child seats; 3rd row is high-traffic). Issue emerged IMMEDIATELY post-warranty (typically 3 years/36k miles).
‘23 pilot will signal an alarm stating I have an unsecured passenger in my middle row (while my passenger is properly secured via the seatbelt). If my passenger pushes or jiggles the seatbelt at the clasp (where is latches together at the seat), it will turn off for a moment and then begin again. I’m not sure if this is a wiring issue, sensor issue or defective part, but this seems like a safety issue.
The back Right passenger seat belt indicator is continuously beeping even when engaged . This appears to be a loose wiring in below the buckle as you can move the section around to temporarily stop it.
