2015 Honda Accord Transmission Problems

I can always feel that the transmission is not responsive. Every now and then when I back up or the car moves into the first gear after I put it in the drive mode it takes awhile before it really moves. It staggers and stalls before the acceleration finally kicks in.

During stand still and driving, when I step on acceleration pedal the car often time hesitates to move. To avoid an accident, I have to press hard on acceleration pedal, then she moves too fast. In an another word, I can't control the car speed in the way I want at 60 percent of the time.

Engine misfires at 50-60 MPH with the tachometer surging from 1400 RPM to 2500 RPM with each misfire. You cannot maintain your speed and therefore are not able to safely drive on the highway. Took it to the dealer who stated that honda has been aware of this issue for some time but does not have a fix for it yet.

The transmission on my 2015 Honda Accord failed and I was stranded on the side of the road. The engine started to accelerate on its own and soon after the gas peddle was not working and I was forced to pull over. My safety was put at risk because I had to pull over on the highway late at night and was stranded.

My car has been reliable other than standard maintenance; oil changes, brake pad changes, etc. On Friday, April 12 2024, I was driving down the highway at 60-70 MPH when the engine felt like it lost power for half a second and I saw the RPMs rev up and then drop down when this "skipping" occurred.

Initially it started as ignition starter issues, now there seems to be what may be concluded as transmission issues. After doing research I see Hondas history of bad transmissions. Extremely low acceleration causes dangerous lane switching or merging with traffic, also the fear of it stalling and no longer working as I drive.

Driving at Interstate speeds, I had the engine suddenly **THUNK** and lose power. I limped it to the side of the road to get out of traffic. I went to investigate and the vehicle would not even idle.

Transmission is not shifting. Also, when backing up car may jump and then stall.

There is a clicking noise from both sides of the wheels and it causing to vibrate at higher speeds. cClicking sound is more prominent when turning from left to right. I am concerned that the axles may fail as I see online that a recall has been issued for the lubricant used in manufactoring the part

Faulty starter which went and was replaced at least twice by previous owner. Upon 2nd replacement of starter by me, the car still would not run. It was determined by my mechanic that this was a bigger issue and probably the torque converter had been ruined by the starter as the wheel was missing and had broken teeth due to impact of the starter.

Door locks will stop working randomly. Some doors will not lock or unlock. I took to metro honda once to get it fixed and again it is happening.

The shucks began shuddering at highway speeds and upon stopping within 1 mile of first incident the vehicle was unable to move under its own power. Further inspection of the car by the Honda dealership determined the transmission failed.

2015 honda accord v6 bought as new now with 72k miles has starter problem. Car will have a winding/grinding noise when attempting to start (from off and stationary position) but will not start. When inspecting problem, it was found that the flywheel has been damaged likely due to misalignment of torque converter ring gear or bad starter motor.

Sticking piston rings resulting in high engine oil consumption: vehicle maintained by dealer including oil changes. Vehicle has no oil in reservoir between oil changes. Vehicle burns oil.

We have had intermittent problems where the car will not start. It just makes a clicking sound. We can jump start it and drive it around and sometimes the problem goes away for months at a time.

When starting car initially in the mornings and driving car in reverse with only braking and not applying any gas, after the first 10 feet in reverse the engine will rev up by itself and then stabilize, or engine will gulp air with engine jerking, or engine will rev up very high with the final last sound of clashing metal between the engine/transmission and the engine dying on the spot.

On march 20, 2015, I leased a honda accord for 3 years from the honda of mentor automobile dealership. Immediately after taking possession of the car, I noticed the car had a very significant vibration problem. After driving the car for a few days, I took it back to the dealership and complained about the vibration.

Page 2 of 2 - I have since taken the vehicle to brandon honda and basically was advised by a service advisor, manager and america honda co that my vehicle is 'operating by design', 'my issues could not be duplicated on several test drive attempts' and 'it's a safety feature' talking about when the vehicle can engage into reverse.

This is 2015 brand new accord lx with CVT. The issues are: 1. The car has obvious side to side sway at speed 15 MPH.

Everything in the car shuts off and on all of a sudden; this includes the screen the air all the lights and the car kind of jerks. it goes back almost immediately but I'm afraid it will do this on the freeway. It has done this at least 4 times in the last month.

The vehicle CVT transmission failed while I was driving on a highway.

Manual transmission keeps slipping out of 2nd gear and can't engage in 2nd gear. Was told from transmissions shops that this problem is happening with other 2015 honda accords with low mileage.

Driving the car on the highway when suddenly the car begins pulling back, which then is followed by a binking 'd3" on the dash.

At ~92,500 miles, this car has suddenly begun in the past week to shut off while accelerating/driving (in motion) on surface streets and freeways. The multifunction screen and/or sound system and/or dash/engine/acceleration will shut off without warning while I am operating the vehicle in traffic anywhere from 15-65 MPH.

Burns a quart of oil or more every 2000 miles.

After coming to a stop, the engines revs up and the car begins to creep forward with brake applied until pressure on the brake is released and then RPM returns to normal. This has happened at least four times. You stop the car by taking your foot off the brake.

, while driving on the highway it was perfectly fine but when time came to get off I stoped at the first light, tried to drive off then the car started pulling, took off driving then the car just totally shut off no type of warning that there might be a problem and also no dash board lights lite up to notify me that there was a problem
