2015 Ford Fusion Wipers & Visibility Problems

I purchased a 2015 ford fusion in november 2014, about 1 week after the purchase; I got caught in a hard rain on a city street. I found that the wipers, at the highest speed, do not clear the windshield fast enough for clear visibility. The speed limit was 45, I slowed down to 25 or less.

When placing the car in reverse the rear backup camera does not show image and will display a black screen or a message the camera is not working and to contact a dealership. Camera worked correctly until Jan 2025. Randomly, the rear backup sensors, while camera shows black screen, will not alert the driver to being object in its path.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while attempting to roll down the passenger’s and driver's side windows, the windows failed to function as needed. Additionally, the contact stated that several buttons on the steering wheel failed to function as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

My windshield wiper would drag and stick in the middle of the windshield. I tried several times to get the dealer to do somethiing, but all I got was ford knew about but didn't know how to fix the problem!! My driver's side blade stuck in the middle of my view..I drove to the dealership in a rain/snow to prove to them there was definitely something wrong!!

After wipers have been run for a few minutes they start to stutter and skip. Sometimes they stop halfway down the window and then after a few seconds go to park position. Ford dealer tells me problem started when they changed to the "euro" wiper a few years ago.

Driver side sun visor fell off hinge and was dangling from wire that powers vanity mirror. Plastic part holding it up seems to have fallen off. No screws there.

Wipers on highest setting do not clear the windshield in a moderate rain. In the case of a hard downpour I have to pull over & stop.this has happened on multiple occasions. This is not acceptable!!!

Drivers side door glass shattered when opening door .vehicle stationary in driveway have also found crack in windshield.

Someone is going to be killed driving this vehicle in a driving rainstorm. Twice since buying this car, less than 30 days ago, I have been caught in a rainstorm, on the interstate, and the windshield wipers, at their highest speed, will not completely clear the windshield enough for sufficient visibility. I have had to stop and pull over and wait for the rain to quit.

While driving in a moderate rain the wind shield wipers will not work fast enough to keep the wind shield clean and to have any type of visibility. Could not see the lines on the road and had to pull over. This happens every time it rains or snows.
