SWOLLEN LUG NUTS - On 26 September 2022, my right rear tire picked up a nail causing a flat tire. After removing the spare, lug wrench and jack, I found the Ford factory lug wrench would not fit on the lug nuts. I required road side assistance for which I was billed $95 for the call (subsequently reimbursed by my insurance company).

Today, during a routine tire replacement (4 tires) due to tire wear, I was told by Big Box service facility that the lug nuts on my vehicle all were swollen and they could not address as they had no parts. I consider this an unsafe condition that I have been put in. My next step is to take it to the dealer.

I took my 2017 Ford Edge to a Ford Dealer to get an oil change and tires rotating on he rear of the vehicle; however, they told me that the lug nuts on both rear wheels have the two piece lug nuts that Ford put on several of their vehicles that have swollen and delaminated rendering the vehicle’s lug wrench and their wrench useless.

Tires were getting rotated when they told me the lug nuts were swollen and needed to be replaced. Please make this right. I already had to pay extra for the tires when getting new ones and now $146 to get lug nuts replaced.

Took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. I was called that all 20 of my lug nuts have to be replaced due to swelling. For $180, which I’ve never in my life had to replace the lug nuts on any other vehicle I’ve owned.

Swollen Lug Nuts.. Grand Ledge Ford, would not rotate and balance tires due to swollen lug nuts. Was informed the lug nuts should be replaced.

"Other" - I've had to replace the CV joint on the same side twice in the last two years. -Yes you can inspect. -Safety was not at risk, I don't think.

I have a flat tire but could not remove the lug nuts with the wrench provided when I purchased the vehicle. There are complaints on line that these lug nuts become swollen with time. When the vehicle was new the wrench worked fine.
