2017 Dodge Journey Seats Problems

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH with her son seated in the front passenger’s seat, there was a loud popping sound coming from the passenger’s side seat before the front passenger’s seat headrest exploded. There was no injury sustained.

The active headrest deployed in the driver's seat while the vehicle was in use. The vehicle was not involved in any accident at the time of the deployment, and it was unprovoked.

We were driving on the interstate and my front seat passenger headrest blew apart. I could have suffered neck injury due to the force of the impact, or accident due to startling the driver. We called our local dealership and they were familiar with this issue however stated it is not on a recall and we could have the headrest replaced for $500 plus labor.

Passenger side headrest deployed by itself. Unable to put headrest back.

My headrest (AHR) Deployed while I was at a stop light. I was not rear-ended. For that to happen.

Both front seat headrests have "deployed" or popped open on their own for no reason.

The drivers side headrest popped open while I was sitting in the parking lot and adjusting my seat before I drove off. The metal pin is missing and the plastic part that was holding it is broken. No accident, just opened on its own.

We were driving my car last night and all of a sudden there was a big pop sound and my husband got hit in the back of the head with the headrest. I guess what had happened was the headrest deployed out of the blue for no reason.

AFTER RECLINING THE SEAT, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT. NOT SURE WHY THAT HAPPENED. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS, TAKE IT TO THE DEALER OR WHAT. IS THERE A RECALL ON THE HEADRESTS?

MY HORN RANDOMLY BLOWS WHILE PARKED. VEHICLE IS IN PARK AND THE DOORS ARE SHUT AND LOCKED. NO ONE AROUND THE VEHICLE. IT HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES TODAY. ONCE I GET OUT TO THE VEHICLE TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM THE HORN STOPS BLOWING ON ITS OWN. WHEN IT HAPPENS NUMEROUS TIMES OR CONTINUOUSLY IT RUNS THE BATTERY DOWN.

I was driving and all of a sudden the passenger headrest popped open hitting my son in the head.
