NHTSA Campaign: 14V234000
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Chrysler Group, LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured August 25, 2010, through October 31, 2013. The affected vehicles may experience overheating of the vent window switch in the driver's door armrest.
Risk: An overheated switch may result in a vehicle fire.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the vent window switch with a newer version, free of charge. The owner notification letter was issued and the remedy campaign launched on on December 31, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P25.
NHTSA Campaign: 13V291000
Component: AIR BAGS
Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2013 Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured June 11, 2013, through June 12, 2013. The occupant restraint control module (ORC) has incorrect software installed which may adversely affect air bag deployments in collisions. Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and No. 214, "Side Impact Protection."
Risk: An air bag that does not deploy, or deploys improperly, may increase the risk of injury.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ORC module, free of charge. The recall began on October 3, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N48.
NHTSA Campaign: 13V283000
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan, and RAM C/V Tradesman vehicles manufactured May 10, 2012, through June 7, 2013. A software error may result in the opposite side airbags deploying from the collision point (a left side impact would deploy the right side airbags and vice versa).
Risk: In the event of a crash, the wrong side airbags could deploy leaving the occupant with no airbag protection at the point of impact, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will flash the occupant restraint control module, free of charge. The recall began during September 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N44.

Rollx Vans (Rollx) is recalling certain GMC Yukon, Sierra, Chevrolet Express 2500, Ford Transit, E-250, Toyota Sienna, Sienna Hybrid, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country, Voyager, Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Ram Promaster vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. Please refer to Rollx's recall report for specific model year information. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Rollx will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2026. Owners may contact Rollx's customer service at 1-800-956-6668.
Owner-Reported Issues (20 of 468)
Electrical System →6 issues
Your van's engine shut down completely while driving on the road, leaving you stranded in traffic with children in the vehicle and no power steering to safely maneuver off the road. Dodge confirmed there's a known recall for this electrical issue, but your VIN isn't covered under it. This is a serious safety hazard that needs immediate diagnosis and repair to prevent stalling in dangerous situations like intersections.

While driving your 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, the engine suddenly lost power and stalled without warning lights appearing on your dashboard. A mechanic diagnosed that the fuel pump relay in your vehicle's power control module (TIPM-7) had failed, preventing fuel from reaching the engine. The repair involves replacing the fuel pump relay or the entire power module.

Your van's engine shut off unexpectedly while driving with no warning lights, which created a dangerous situation. The engine restarted and ran normally afterward, but the sudden shutdown while in motion is a serious safety concern. The owner believes the ignition system is at fault and notes that other model years have been recalled for similar issues. Replacing the ignition switch or ignition control module will likely require professional programming at a dealership.

Your ignition key is loosening and turning to the left while you're driving, which shuts off all electrical power to the car. This has happened multiple times, including at highway speeds, and causes the engine to shut off and disables critical safety systems like airbags, power steering, and power brakes. This is a known safety issue covered under recall L25 that significantly increases your crash risk.

Your van may have trouble starting sometimes, and while driving at various speeds, it may vibrate abnormally and then stall out—though it can restart after several attempts. The owner found that placing electrical tape on the key fob tip helped create more space between the fob and ignition contacts. The underlying electrical issue hasn't been diagnosed or repaired.

Your wireless key fob and the key-operated starter switch aren't working. You may have difficulty starting your vehicle or unlocking it remotely. The issue could involve the key fob battery, the receiver module, or the starter switch assembly.

Seats →3 issues
Your driver's seat headrest suddenly deployed with a loud noise and force while the car was parked and empty in your garage. This unexpected deployment could injure a passenger or cause a crash if it happened while driving. Chrysler initially acknowledged this as a known safety issue and agreed to replace the seat under warranty, but later refused to follow through.

Your passenger front seat headrest unexpectedly deployed while the car was parked. The plastic housing that holds the metal support bar broke, causing the headrest to pop open. Chrysler replacement headrests are expensive ($600-800), though you may be able to find used ones online. Repair typically involves replacing the entire headrest assembly.

Unknown Or Other →2 issues
Your vehicle's TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) stopped working, but Dodge says the recall doesn't apply to your vehicle identification number. Additionally, your brake booster failed, but there's no recall available for this issue—a brake booster failure could potentially lead to brake problems. Both of these are significant issues that required repair.

Your van is stalling unexpectedly while driving, then restarts after sitting for about 15 minutes. This happens roughly every 500 miles, making it unpredictable and dangerous on highways. You've already replaced the fuel pump without solving the problem, so the issue likely lies elsewhere in the engine or electrical system. A full diagnostic scan may be needed to identify whether it's a failing sensor, ignition coil, or other component causing the stalls.

Engine →1 issue
Your 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan has experienced multiple transmission problems—the transmission was replaced once, but failed again about five months later with rough driving and erratic shifting. After a check engine light appeared and the vehicle lost power while driving uphill, a mechanic diagnosed a failing torque converter. Despite visits to dealerships, the issue remains unrepaired and is not covered under warranty.

Electrical System,engine,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your vehicle randomly stalls while driving at various speeds, and won't restart until you disconnect and reconnect the battery—then it starts and runs fine until it stalls again. This is a known issue covered by a NHTSA recall (#19V813) for a faulty fuel pump relay, but your vehicle's VIN wasn't included in that recall even though it's the same year as others covered. The dealer diagnosed the problem but offered only an expensive TIPM replacement ($1,700) without guaranteeing it would fix the issue. Fixing this typically involves replacing the fuel pump relay or installing an external fuel pump relay kit as covered by the recall.

Electrical System,unknown Or Other,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan completely shuts down and loses all power while driving above 50 mph with no warning lights or error codes, forcing you to pull over and wait about 20 minutes before it will restart. This has happened over 25 times, and you've already replaced the battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, TPM relay, and had new keys programmed—but the problem persists. Because you lose power steering and brakes during these incidents, this creates a serious safety hazard on highways. A complete electrical and fuel system diagnosis by a qualified technician may be needed to identify the root cause, as dealers have been unable to pinpoint the issue.

Electrical System,exterior Lighting →1 issue
Your instrument cluster and exterior lights stopped working multiple times while driving, leaving you unable to see your speed, fuel level, or gear selection, and your turn signals and wipers malfunctioned. This has happened 3 times in the past month and a half, creating a serious safety hazard since you couldn't signal turns or verify brake light function. The issue may be related to the TPIM (Totally Integrated Power Module) and has been reported on multiple Dodge and Chrysler forums. Diagnosis will likely require electrical system testing and potentially replacement of the power module or related wiring.

Electrical System,unknown Or Other,engine →1 issue
Your van randomly shuts off while you're driving, though it starts back up immediately once you pull over to a safe location. Multiple shops have been unable to find the cause, and no error codes appear on diagnostic readers. This intermittent stalling could be caused by issues with the fuel pump, ignition switch, or engine sensors that may require diagnostic testing or replacement.

Engine And Engine Cooling, power Train →1 issue
Your vehicle jolts and hesitates when you press the accelerator pedal at various speeds, and your check engine light is on. You're also noticing excessive white smoke coming from your exhaust pipe. An independent mechanic diagnosed that both your transmission and catalytic converter need replacement.

Electrical System,air Bags →1 issue
While driving your 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, the driver's head restraint stopped working and suddenly collapsed inward without any warning light appearing on the dashboard. No one was injured. The manufacturer confirmed this vehicle wasn't part of a recall for this issue. Fixing this will likely require replacing the head restraint assembly or the electrical mechanism that controls it.

Air Bags →1 issue
Your active front seat headrests have deployed twice without a crash, and you've already paid out of pocket once before. When you brought it in for diagnosis the second time, the dealership confirmed it was covered under a special FCA warranty and ordered the parts. However, because the parts took months to arrive (not in stock until August 2024), the dealership is now telling you that you've fallen outside the warranty coverage window and won't fix it without paying over $200 for another diagnosis—even though they already diagnosed the exact same problem two years ago. You need the repair completed as originally promised when the parts were ordered.

Seats,unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your passenger side headrest unexpectedly deployed while the van was parked in your driveway overnight. You're concerned this could injure a passenger if it happened while driving. The headrest appears to have a defect that caused it to deploy on its own.
