Your brand-new 2025 Jetta's check-engine light came on within 24 hours of purchase, and the fuel gauge stopped working and showed incorrect fuel levels. The dealership diagnosed a faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM), but before repairs could be completed, your car became completely inoperable and wouldn't shift into Drive, leaving you stranded. The vehicle had less than 350 miles on it when this happened. Fixing this issue will likely require replacing the Transmission Control Module and diagnosing the electrical fuel gauge problem.

Filed: Mar 2026

Your transmission is making whining and whistling noises when driving at light load or coasting, especially between 1000-2000 RPM. This could indicate a transmission problem that may worsen over time. You should have a transmission specialist inspect your vehicle to diagnose the source of the noise and determine if repairs are needed.

mediumPOWER TRAIN
Filed: Mar 2026

Your transmission is making a high-pitched whining noise between 1200-2000 RPM, especially during low-speed acceleration or when the engine is working harder. This noise seems to be coming directly from the transmission itself. The issue may require transmission fluid inspection, filter replacement, or internal transmission service to diagnose and resolve.
