While driving at 40 mph, you notice black smoke coming from your driver's side door panel that gets darker, forcing you to pull over. You see an orange glow near the door controls and a fire has started in the door. The dealership finds a short circuit in the wiring caused the fire — the damaged wires and master control switch need to be replaced to prevent this from happening again.

Your dashboard lights have completely stopped working, making it impossible to see your speedometer and other gauges at night. This is a serious safety issue since you can't monitor your vehicle's speed or vital information while driving in the dark. The problem likely involves a failed bulb, blown fuse, or a faulty lighting circuit in the dashboard electrical system.
