2023 Toyota Highlander Seat Belts Problems

Your car's second and third row seat belt positioning makes it difficult to properly secure child car seats and booster seats without lifting them up after installation. In the third row, you have to stand outside the vehicle to reach and buckle the seat belt for a booster seat. Toyota dealers and customer service have indicated no seat belt extension solution is available. This may require Toyota to redesign the seat belt routing or anchor points in the second and third rows to accommodate child safety seats properly.

Your seat belt warning alarm keeps chiming even though your seat belts are properly buckled. Turning the vehicle off and on, or re-fastening the seat belts doesn't stop the alarm. The dealer has inspected the vehicle three times but hasn't been able to figure out what's causing the problem or fix it.

I took delivery of the new vehicle without testing all the seatbelts. The third row passenger side seat belt is fully retracted as it should be, but it's locked in that position. It came from the dealer that way, and it cannot be used.
