Your cruise control turns on automatically when you start your car, but there's no way to completely turn it off—only cancel the set speed. This means the previously set speed (like 70 MPH) stays displayed on your dashboard even after canceling, and you could accidentally resume that speed by hitting the resume button while driving in a lower-speed area, potentially causing a collision. The owner's manual doesn't explain how to turn off cruise control, and your dealer says this is normal operation, but older Toyota models have an on/off switch that your 2023 doesn't have.
