Your clutch slave cylinder failed, leaving you unable to operate the vehicle. Because your car shares the brake fluid reservoir between the clutch and brake systems, this failure also affects your brakes. This repair typically costs over $4,000 and involves significant labor time, plus potential warranty disputes with dealers.

Your car displayed a 'drive start control malfunction' error message that took months and multiple repair attempts to resolve. The fuel pump was failing because its plastic housing was deteriorating and cracking, requiring replacement along with other parts at significant cost. You're now also seeing a 'connected device not supported' message, which appears to be related to a software bug in Toyota's system that you had to pay to fix.

Your clutch feels spongy and the friction point feels unusual, indicating the slave cylinder (which operates your clutch) is failing at 66,200 miles. This could cause your car to lurch forward unexpectedly when stopped or break down completely without warning. The repair will likely involve replacing the clutch slave cylinder and possibly related clutch components.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the quality of the paint on my 2019 Toyota Corolla. The paint has been peeling for the past two years, and the issue has progressively worsened. Despite taking good care of the vehicle, the paint is deteriorating at an unusual rate for a car of this age. I believe this may be a defect related to the original paint quality, and I would appreciate it if you could inspect the vehicle in this class and advise whether this could be covered under Toyota warranty or any goodwill repair program. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The Coolant Bypass Valve needs to be replaced prematurely. This issue seems to be fairly commonplace among Toyota’s cars. My car only has 62,990 on the odo.

Engine Coolant Bypass Valve faulty. Charged $176.95 for the dealer to diagnose what is already known issue. The dealer wanted $663 to replace the part. Toyota knows about this issue yet acts like they had to perform $176 diagnose. The car never blew any codes CIL and they say that this particular part doesnt cause a code but had to use a " special" diagnose tool.

CVT TRANSMISSION is hesitating after first gear, going over 40mph and going up hills. I was told by Toyota that it would cost $8,200 to fix/REPLACE. The car has 125,000 miles on it. THAT Shouldn't happen. Since the Corolla Hatchbacks were recalled that year, why weren't ALL of the corollas recalled. Reading on-line, I see I am not alone. This is wrong. And I still have about $2K owed on it.

2019 Toyota Corolla, I am the second owner. Vehicle has 66,000 miles. Vehicle will turn over, start for a very small second, and then stall (shuts off). Throttle body and battery have been changed. Car runs, then stalls. Im 24 and I bought the car because they're supposed to be safe and last. I brought this vehicle home in March and the joke is on me because not only does it choose to run, but it's not safe to even think about driving it. What happens if it chooses to just stop on the highway at 65 mph? Dangerous. I have a family. Very upset.

I have called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise, Enterprise, Alabama on and about February 17, 2021, also, on or about September 2, 2021, called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise spoke to the service department both times VIN gave and both times denied a recall. Also, my brother James Wright took the vehicle to Bondy's and was told no recall for the airbags or fuel pump by the service department. On or about March 6, 2021, approximately 6:30 AM hit a deer on Coffee County Road 377, Elba, Alabama. had damage to the front windshield, right passenger side. A hole was found in the trunk where the trunk is separating from the body. Progressive insurance and Toyota are both refusing to fix this problem They have told me not to put anything in the trunk. Also Progressive is refusing to pay for the right side of the car. This has been going on with Progressive since March. the car had been taken to Wiregrass Collision Center 3 times and each time the center said Progressive never came and looked at the vehicle. Progressive was trying to force me use a auto repair shop in Troy, Alabama.

BECAUSE TOYOTA WILL NOT ENABLE ENTUNE 3.0 TO WORK WITH GOOGLE MAPS I FEEL THAT THEY ARE DELIBERATELY ENDANGERING MY SAFETY. I NOW HAVE TO USE MY PHONE TO LOOK UP ADDRESSES INSTEAD OF A HANDS-FREE OPTION. THEIR SCOUT GPS MAPS IS FREQUENTLY WRONG AND DOES NOT PROVIDE THE NAVIGATION I NEED ON A DAILY USE BASIS.

AFTER GETTING GAS, ONCE I GOT ONTO THE HIGHWAY, ABOUT 400 OR SO FEET, MY CAR STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND THEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND MY CAR WAS SLOWLY STOPPING ON ITS OWN ACCORD. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF ON THE NEARBY EXIT, MY CAR SLOWING BY ITSELF AS I DROVE. AS I TURNED IN TO GO TO A GAS STATION, MY CAR STOPPED ON ITS OWN COMPLETELY, EVEN WHEN I TRIED TO PUSH ON THE GAS. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES. AFTER THAT TIME, I WAS ABLE TO START IT UP AND MY CAR TURNED ON AND NO ALERT LIGHTS WERE ON.I I WAS THEN ABLE TO DRIVE ON BACK ROADS TO MY HOUSE, WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. I AM TERRIFIED I AM GOING TO GET IN A CAR ACCIDENT.

I STARTED MY CAR AND PUT IT IN REVERSE, AS I BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THE CAR SEIZED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY STREET I WAS BACKING ONTO AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO MOVE NO MATTER WHAT I DID. A COUPLE OF DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON, I WASN'T ABLE TO SHIFT OR GET OUT OF THE WAY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. ONE OF THE LIGHTS THAT CAME ON HAD AN EXCLAMATION POINT. MY STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT MOVE EITHER. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT, IT RAN AFTER THAT. I HAVE SINCE BEEN VERY WARY ABOUT DRIVING BECAUSE I'M AFRAID I'M GOING TO BE DRIVING AND IT'LL JUST STOP WORKING AGAIN.

I DROVE MY CAR TO GET GAS ON NOVEMBER 24, 2019. AFTER I GOT FULL TANK OF GAS, I CANNOT START THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE WOULD MAKE A NOICE LIKE COUGHING, AND WHOLE CAR WOULD SHAKE, ALL THE ELECTRIC (LIGHTS, METER, MUSIC) WOULD BE ON, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD GO BACK TO 'DEAD'. ON THE DISPLAY SCREEN, IT WOULD SHOW THE 'BATTERY' WARNING ICON. I IMMEDIATELY TRIED JUMPSTART, BUT I STILL CANNOT START MY VEHICLE SO IT'S NOT SIMPLY A BATTERIES PROBLEM. (ACTUALLY, I THINK THE BATTERY ITSELF HAS NO PROBLEM.) THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOT IN SERVICE ON SUNDAY, SO I HAVE TO PAID TO GET MY CAR TOWED AT THE NIGHT- DROP. BEFORE THE GUY TOWED MY VEHICLE AWAY, HE TRIED TO START MY VEHICLE AGAIN AND IT CANNOT BE START. ON MONDAY MORNING THE DEALERSHIP EXAMINE IN THE VEHICLE BUT THEY CLAIM THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. ALL THE TEST COME CLEAN AND THEY WANTED ME TO COME AND TAKE MY VEHICLE. BUT WHEN THE TECHNICIAN WAS ABOUT TO GET MY CAR, HE HIMSELF CANNOT START A VEHICLE AGAIN OR IT TAKES A LONG TIME FOR THE VEHICLE TO START. SO THEY KEEP THE CAR THREE MORE DAYS TO TEST BUT TODAY THEY CALLED ME, AND STILL TELLING ME THE VEHICLE HAS NO PROBLEM. THE CAR CLEARLY HAS SOME PROBLEM! AND ACTUALLY THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT IT HAPPENED. THE FIRST TIME HAPPENED WHEN I PARKED MY CAR AT MY OFFICE BUILDINGS PARKING LOT, AND AT NIGHT AFTER WORK I CANNOT START THE ENGINE. SAME PROBLEM. THAT TIME I WAIT FOR TWO MINUTES AND I CAN START THE CAR BACK ON AGAIN. BUT THE SAME PROBLEM DID EXIST BEFORE, AND IT HAS A RECURRING PROBLEM. I'M NOW VERY WORRIED ABOUT MY CAR, I FEAR THAT THE SAME PROBLEM WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN, AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT.

THE OWNER'S MANUAL SHOWS A LOCATION FOR LIFTING THE VEHICLE IN THE FRONT USING A FLOOR JACK (PAGE 427). THIS LOCATION IS NOT PRESENT ON MY VEHICLE AND THIS WAS CONFIRMED BY A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THIS COULD LEAD TO SOMEONE USING ANOTHER IMPROPER LOCATION TO LIFT THE VEHICLE WHICH COULD CAUSE AN INJURY TO A PERSON IF THE VEHICLE SLIPS OFF THE JACK OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE MISSING PART IS ALSO REFERENCED ON PAGE 475 AS A LOCATION TO TOW THE VEHICLE BY. AGAIN, SINCE THIS LOCATION IS MISSING, SOMEONE COULD TOW THE VEHICLE BY A SPOT NOT DESIGN TO BE TOWED BY. THIS COULD ALSO RESULT IN INJURY TO A PERSON OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
