Your car is shifting from Park into Drive or Reverse while the engine is off, and it moves a significant distance before flashing a warning light on the dashboard. This has happened multiple times and is a serious safety concern. Additionally, when you shift into Park and turn off the engine, your car sometimes moves forward on its own even after you've taken your foot off the gas.

The contact received no injuries, and no medical attention was needed. The police came and filed a police report. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
