2017 Subaru Forester Wipers & Visibility Problems

The air system has gone out in the car completely, you can hear it run or try to and then kick off, I have checked and it has not been recalled. there were no accidents prior to the air system giving out. it started around the june 2024, but it didn’t affect vision at that time.

The windshield has failed without the vehicle suffering any collisions. The failure has LED to the epoxy attaching the rear view mirror to detach with the glass from the windshield. Not only does the rear view mirror now hang from the electrical wire, the epoxy was able to remove a chunk of the glass.

Without apparent cause the windshield cracked. This occurred while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was not struck by anything and was never in a collision, but the windshield cracked approximately 14 inches in length beginning at the bottom edge about 1 foot from the lower right hand corner and angling up and leftward.

My windshield has cracked and had to be replaced twice since purchasing the car with only 41,000 miles on it currently. It is a 2017 subaru forester and there are now 2 cracks in the third and current windshield.the windshields they are using are unsafe and cost roughly $1300 to replace due to the eye sight system.

The year, make, and model of my vehicle have a well known history of weakness as well as fragility and class action suit for the subaru outback of same vintage has reached settlement. There are a number of hairline cracks that are difficult to see and best seen in low sunlight with the light is refracted by the cracks.

I have experienced multiple issues with now 2 replacement windows on my 2017 forester for what I believe to be related to low quality glass that subaru is using. Driving on I-25 south in co - repaired / chip filled by safelite glass damage - 2.5.18 - small chip near center top that expanded into a 2 foot crack.

The windshield spontaneously cracked, middle passenger side (not aware when it happened. One time came out into the garage and noticed it was cracked). It also was severely chipped one time before (2500 miles).

the car driven to work from 6:05 to 6:25am and parked in a parking lot. when my wife went out to eat lunch around noon, she noticed a crack running from the mirror to the bottom center of the windshield. upon further inspection we noticed the damage could be felt from the inside of the car, and was NOT caused by any stone chips or other damages from the outside of the car.

I was at an event for about 3 hours and was parked next to a trailer. When I started driving there was a crack in the lower right hand of my windshield. The event was private and the trailer was not used.

The rearview mirror detached from the windshield due to heat. When this happened, the metal button removed a chunk of glass from the windshield, so the surface is not able to be cleaned to reaffix the button that holds the mirror. The rearview mirror is currently dangling by the electrical cord.

The front windshield spontaneously cracked, beginning from the bottom of the windshield at the de-icer on the passenger side and propagated up and across the windshield toward the driver's side. No evidence of a strike or outside damage which caused the crack is evident. The obstruction to my view is hazardous on the roadway as the crack continues to spread.

Vehicle was traveling on highway 101 southbound. Driver heard a loud pop. Driver looked around to find a large crack in the windshield located on the passenger side.

Windshield cracks at very little impact and cracks spread rapidly through windshield. I had windshield replacement twice in 2018 and it cracked again on 01-01-2019. It happened on the same road I commute for 20 years and never had windshield cracks with my previous vehicles.

Own a 2017 subaru forester, we have less than 11,000 miles and less than one year of ownership. A small stone hitting the windshield, quickly ends up in a 24" to 30" long linear crack unlike my other two vehicles. We are in process of replacing 3rd windshield glass in less than one year.

While driving subaru forester 2017, a small rock hit the windshield and small crack quickly turned into 24" to 30" long linear crack and as a result ended up replacing wind shield glass and re-calibration of eyesight. This happened twice in last 8 months. It appears to be an oem issue.
