Your truck's engine suddenly shuts off while driving or at idle, dropping the RPM to zero. When this happens while driving, you need to shift into park and restart the engine, which then starts normally—but the problem keeps recurring. A mechanic found that your truck's TIPM (the main fuse box under the hood) is overheating, which is causing the stalling. The fix will likely involve replacing or repairing the overheating TIPM module or addressing the underlying electrical issue causing the overheating.

The uconnect 8.4 radio screen started delaminating. The delamination caused the screen to randomly turn things on/off, call random people including the emergency number, radio switching channels and changing volume, park assist warning buzzer to stop working, back-up camera ceased working and numerous other symptoms. Any, or all of these symptoms, will distract a driver to the point where an accident could occur. This has not only happened to me but thousands of other owners who own uconnect radios in their vehicles. The company, in my case FCA, has ignored this problem and has refused to repair or replace the radio. Clearly this is a faulty part that needs to be replaced before someone gets seriously injured or killed.

This is my 2nd complaint...Uconnect never did return my call as they promised they would....now our Uconnect is so bad it makes driving a safety concern. After starting our Ram the Uconnect keeps trying to call a number ....we have no idea what number it is but it continues dialing....we can not turn it off so if we need to drive this vehicle this is what we have to put up with....very distracting...I see many complaints on this website but nothing is being done....we get nowhere with Uconnect even though we have called numerous times...we can not access any of the features from this radio/Uconnect device...cameras...non functioning on the screen....what will it take before someone does something to make the manufactures respond.....as long as NHTSA does nothing....then Uconnect will feel embolden to also do nothing....PLEASE THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ..

our radio in our 2018 Dodge ram has delaminated and it makes it now a safety issue...the cameras and other things are no longer available making it more and more a car we can not drive safely...we have contacted UCONNECT and done everything they have asked us to do...and EVERYTIME we call them back we get a different answer...first they were going to escalate the issue to get it fixed...then when called back...it was no we will not fix it...out of warranty they say this time...I am on the phone with them as I write this...each person has such broken English it is next to impossible to understand them.....as this is a widespread problem and others have had this corrected and some of us have not..why has this not become a recall as it is a safety problem...the dealer has confirmed the problem and gave an 1166.74 dollar figure to fix it at the time of 12-02-24...this problem started in early 2024 but would come and go to the point we are in now...totally not working...Mary from Uconnect ram division said a person named Viplove will call me within 1 day...I am not holding out hope as they never call back...so we never get it fixed leaving us an unsafe vehicle...THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED....what does it takes to get an issue put into a recall to fix safety issues....a death need to happen...that is way to long..it is now making loud sounds to the point driving is not an option....if you look this issue up on the internet you will see plenty of people complaining about this....Please look into this....please

We may have started a claim already reference number 1592940, this is the first I've been able to write out the details. On [XXX] we were driving through South Dakota on the freeway; which was cold but dry and clear with no hazards and within a mile everything happened or about 45-60 seconds First, it was like the gas wasn't getting through because RPMS went from normal to almost 5000. From there, my husband started losing driving power, so he started trying to pull over. Within seconds it seemed to lose engine power as were were pulling over to the shoulder. As we were pulling over the truck gave "loss oil pressure" and then died luckily as we just made it to the shoulder. If my husband had hesitated longer we would have been stalled on the freeway not able to start the truck again. The truck was towed to a local Ford dealership. The Mechanic said it may be a Ram recall but dropped it there and did not continue researching. We called the nearby Ram dealership where the mechanic said over the phone with out actually seeing the truck that is was not a recall. No one else has yet inspected the truck. I first need to know where I'm allowed to go to find an unbiased diagnoses and fair assessment. This was and is the only issue we have ever had with this truck. Maintenance was scheduled regularly, it was well taken care of and only had 110,000 miles on it. We have already had to pay for the towing to the dealership and also the towing from the dealership in South Dakota to home in Washington State to try and get this figured out. We have noticed for more than a year that the main touch screen of our 2018 Ram 1500 has screen delamination, and, with it, ghosting; i.e., it appears a ghost is touching buttons, as even though we are not touching buttons on the screen, buttons are being pushed all over the screen. We are happy to make the vehicle available for inspection or provide videos upon request. If we have Bluetooth on, and our phone contact list is up, multiple people are called (we have to make sure we do not have Bluetooth enabled when we are in the vehicle). Sometimes, when we are driving, the rearview camera will turn on. We no longer listen to the radio, as it is impossible to keep the same station -- the ghosting jumps from station to station. In addition to being extremely distracting, it recently became a safety issue. We live in Wisconsin, and in July 2024, we were driving on the interstate during a pop-up thunderstorm. We had the defrost on because the windshield was fogging up, and suddenly, the touchscreen went crazy. It turned the defrost off, flipped to the radio screen, and then switched to the rear camera, all while the windshield quickly fogged up. It was at this moment that we realized this was now a safety issue, as we were in heavy traffic on the highway during a thunderstorm, and we couldn't see anything. Our dealer is aware of the issue, as multiple other Ram trucks have experienced similar issues. A simple Google search of "Ram screen ghosting" leads to hundreds, if not thousands, of posts about the same issue. The issue first appeared about 18 months ago, in February 2023, when the truck had approximately 45000 miles on it. It now has about 60000 miles on it.

I have been having issues with my EGR, Dealership states there is a leak and ordered parts for repair that will cost me $2000 in repairs when parts come in. The engine light comes on almost every month and I loose power until I take it back into the dealership and they clear the code and state that they are still waiting on the parts to repair, Ordered parts should be delivered in October 2024. I have checked and this has been a recalled part previously and apparently repaired before I purchased the truck. My concern is with the loss of power when the engine light comes on and has been diagnosed that this is due to the EGR leak that it could cause an accident.

My EGR has failed. There was a recall for the exact part in 2020 and a new EGR was installed in April of 2020 required by the recall. My new EGR now has a fatigue crack in it and the new part needs to be replaced. When I inquired about a replacement, I was told that a replacement would have to be covered by me and not the dealership or Stallantis. I respectfully disagree. Why replace a part under suspicion of failure and potential hazard and still have the same problem with the new part. I would argue that the problem remains and it needs to be corrected.

The uconnect/multimedia system sporadically and unpredictably goes haywire while driving; changing vehicle settings, making noises, and rapidly switching screens or even dialing 911! This is distraction and a nuisance while driving which takes a drivers attention from where it should be. Please investigate as I've heard it is a widespread problem with the 4C NAV system.

I choose "other" because you don't have their uconnect system listed as an option. I few years ago the radio began channel channels randomly every once in a while. This would usually stop once the vehicle was shut off and then restarted. It was so infrequent that it wasn't that big a deal. Then it started happening more frequently and I went online to the Ram forums and found that tons of people were reporting the same issue. I found out from these forums that the touch screen was delaminating. Sure enough, I could see that on my screen at the top. I had seen it before but I just thought it was a cosmetic flaw and I didn't connect it to the random radio changing. That delamination is now half way down my screen. If it was just the radio changing channels I wouldn't be contacting you. However, during the past 2 weeks the uconnect system is randomly showing my back up camera, turning my heated seats on, and randomly calling people listed in my phone contacts. More troubling is that it has called 911 on five different occasions. I have been able to cancel 2 of them, but the other 3 would not cancel even when I hit the cancel button on the screen. This is the safety issue.....my attention is being taken away from driving and trying to stop 911 calls from being randomly made. I have found no option to disable the uconnect system so I have to deal with this every time I am driving now. The vehicle has less than 50,000 miles on it. If this was a unique situation I would accept that I am out of warranty and need to fix this myself, but this is not unique. This exact same problem is happening on a ton of Ram vehicles and the manufacturer needs to step up and fix a flaw in this component. I have been in touch with Chrysler for the past week and they told me they will reach out to me on May 14th and let me know what they can do. I believe your agency should step in and require a recall for all affected owners.

My truck is equipped with the UConnect 4C/4C Navigation system which is malfunctioning. This is a problem that other car owners are having as well. This system is having "ghost touch" issues. The radio will scroll through the channels, change automatically to satellite radio. This is not a safety concern, however when the heat/defrost goes out, changes over to a/c then this can be a concern, which is what my system will do. It will also black completely out. There are no warning lights, battery in the truck has been replaced, did not fix the problem. A factory reset has been done, did not fix the problem. I contacted UConnect, they advised me to take to the dealer for it to be diagnosed. I called the dealer; they want $175.00 per hour to diagnose. Neither are taking responsibility for this problem, and it is my problem that this product is defective. I will not accept that. This is a safety concern due to the fact that this component controls so many features.

The led screen is delaminating. This has caused fantom touching. The truck will constantly start stop and change settings. This causes the GPS to go haywire, radio to change stations and volume, heating and cooling will go up and down, and it will initiate phone calls and emergency services. These are inconvenient when the truck is at rest, but I nearly got into a wreck due to the GPS screen zooming in and out while the truck called emergency services. This IS a safety issue.

This safety issue deals with the touch screen radio. The laminate or glue appears to have oozing on the inside of the touch screen. This oozing has caused the touchscreen to have a mind of its own and begin calling people, turning cameras on, adjust vehicle settings included in the uconnect package. The touchscreen cant be shut off and continues to make changes as your driving. Today the vehicle began calling telephone numbers and hanging up, switching between radio, backup camera, telephone etc etc etc. As i continually attempted to stop the chaos I nearly had a headon collision. This is a well known issue with this touch screen and Im shocked that nothing has been done to force a recall or correction from RAM. This has been an ongoing issue. It use to just change the channel on the radio. Now its turned into a more serious issue where someone can be killed. I would like to turn the unit off but it cant be shut down.

My uconnect infotainment unit is experiencing “ghost touching” . As I am driving at first the radio stations would change by themselves. They would go from xm to fm and etc. then my clock wouldn’t allow me to set the time. Now recently, as I’m driving, the unit is dialing numbers, reading text messages. It’s calling sos. The. My back up camera is on as I’m driving forward. Air conditioner going from high to low. I brought it into dodge and they told me it needs a new unit. I called ram and they said to bring it in to dodge and leave it there. They won’t let me. Ram told me to get a loaner but the dealership says they don’t have any. Ram also told me to get a rental but I don’t want to lay out $550-700 for a rental when I have no idea how long it will take for the part to come in. My truck is completely unable to be driven. I have had it parked with now car since August 1 when I came back from diagnostic . I am concerned that they will putting the same exact unit in there and it will happen again. I am clearly out of warranty. So as of right now I have no car, I have no idea when the part will be in and I do not the same exact unit put in the truck. It’s obviously a know issue but putting back the same unit is not going to fix the problem. They need to upgrade the entire unit like they put in the 2020s.

OEM UConnect 8.5" screen delamination resulting in constant screen flashing due to "ghost touches" causing distractions to driver. Issue causes the inability to turn screen off when flashing and changing screens on its own which can be hazardous any time, especially at night; when phone is connected to vehicle bluetooth system, the UConnect screen makes random calls which also distracts driver due to having to end a call on the actual phone, otherwise the person called at random is constantly put on hold and resumed to the point it is impossible to speak (hands-free laws in my city create the necessity to be able to speak via bluetooth) and, in the event an emergency call to 911 has to be made while driving, it does not appear the screen malfunction will allow it; climate randomly switches from heat to cool and continuously adjusts fan speed; equalizer on audio system controls itself and prevents driver from altering; radio station changes constantly and back and forth between AM and FM; inability to change clock if necessary; inability to change screen settings whatsoever. This vehicle may be inspected at any time. Dodge dealership maintenance confirmed it is a known issue and recommends the system be replaces (at my expense), even though this exact issue can be found in online forums, etc. dating back to 2017. There were no warnings, only what looked to be a crack in the screen which was later found to be an air bubble under the lamination that continues to spread. My vehicle is very rarely left parked while uncovered and has only been used per the owner's manual. This issue was also not disclosed when the vehicle was bought. My screen in particular did not start having issues until the end of 2022, at approx. 46,000 miles. The manufacturer's warranty has lapsed and an extended warranty was not purchased. However, had I known this could be an issue the manufacturer would not take responsibility for, I would have purchased an extended warranty.

There is a common well known problem with the Ram trucks that have the Hemi Engine. The passenger side cast iron exhaust manifold will warp and break the steel bolts off the aluminum head. This creates a hazardous exhaust leak where fumes are entering the cab. Also in states that require a state safety inspection it will fail because of the leak. It is a manufacturer safety defect and should be repaired by the manufacturer and not have the customer foot the bill for a bad design.

The vehicle changing music and climate is distracting, but the commands in phone access are extremely distracting and could cause safety issues to others. This is also a very common issue according to others and although some have received a FCA goodwill warranty I was not able to. The goodwill warranty tells me Chrysler and Uconnect know this is a common issue that needs to be corrected. Also, Chryslers fix is to replace the radio when the glue between the digitizer (touch screen) and main unit melts despite the main unit not being the cause of the defect. So charging people $1,000 dollars for a new unit is a bandaid issue as the unit will just delaminate again. This issue needs a more effective solution.

My 2018 (30,134.mi) Ram pickup truck design is defective. Specifically, the defective fuel tank filler neck (the “Filler Neck Defect”) cause standard gas-station nozzles—which work perfectly well with other vehicles—to become lodged in the opening to my Ram fuel tanks. I have to physically wrench the gas nozzle free. A side effect of the filler neck’s design is that it triggers the gas pumps’ automatic shutoff when the tank isn’t full yet. The In-Car Entertainment System is responsible for controlling multiple sources of entertainment, climate control, heads-up navigation, hands-free phone use, and others. The unit is the Uconnect 4C by Harman. This system has a problem with the touchscreen delaminating, or coming loose, from the display. When this happens, the touchscreen will send multiple and variable "touches" without user involvement. While driving my vehicle on 10/5/2021, this fault caused my navigation system to change to an unreadable state, which resulted in a serious distraction while driving. The distraction lead to my approaching near to another vehicle on the road and resulting in a subsequent swerve to avoid a collision. This problem is a SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE due to the distracting nature of the display in this condition. The issue is a known issue by both Uconnect company and the Chrysler company. I have reported the safety issue and they are unwilling to address it. The first picture provided shows the delamination of the touchscreen from the display. The effect can be seen by a semi-circular line about halfway down the display. The second picture provided shows a non-commanded screen press at the top center of the screen (note the circle indicating the recognition of a push). This was observed to happen 14 times in 16 seconds. I have videos (not provided) of the what happens during navigation. It is extremely distracting during navigation and makes driving in a high-traffic situation almost impossible. There is not a way to turn off the display, which in turn forces the distraction continuously and without a way for driver intervention. This problem is known throughout the industry, which I learned by contacting my local Dodge dealer and the Uconnect company. Many reports exist on the internet, also. NOTE: This is not a wear out item and there is nothing in the manual about routine safety maintenance on the touchscreen or the unit. i.e. not user serviceable.

On 5/17, I brought it to dealer to fix it. During the trip, the smoke comes out again.

THE RADIO THAT COMES STOCK RANDOMLY STARTS TO DELAMINATE. IN DOING SO, IT BEGINS TO INTERFERE WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN PERFORMANCE AND BECOMES EXTREMELY DISRUPTIVE TO THE DRIVER WITH THE CONSTANT CHANGES, RADIO CHANGES, SCREEN CHANGES, PUSHING THINGS CONSTANTLY ON THE SCREEN WITHOUT USER INPUT - IF USING APPLE OR ANDROID, IT CAN GET STUCK IN LOOPS TRYING TO GET YOU TO CALL OR TEXT OR OTHER LOOPS WHERE IT CONSTANTLY CHANGES YOUR MUSIC. EVEN IF YOU TURN THE SCREEN OFF IT WILL COME BACK ON AND GO NUTS. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME THE VEHICLE IS TURNED ON AND IS VERY DISRUPTIVE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. THERE IS NO WAY TO PREVENT IT OTHER THAN REMOVING THE FUSE BUT THEN YOU ARE LEFT WITHOUT A MEANS TO HAVE HANDS FREE DRIVING AND NAVIGATION.

THE RADIO SCREENS ARE DELAMINATING CAUSING THE BUTTONS TO BE ACTIVATED WHILE DRIVING. THE RADIO CONTROLS MANY ASPECTS OF THE TRUCK. CLIMATE CONTROL, HILL START ASSIST, HEADLIGHTS ON WITH WIPERS, EVEN DEFROST FOR THE WINDSHIELD , ETC. WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING THE RADIO SCROLLS THROUGH ALL THE SETTINGS TURNING THEM OFF AND ON AT RANDOM SO YOU NEVER NOW HOW IT IS SET. IT WILL TURN THE HEAT ON HIGH, TURN OFF THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER. IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH ALL FCA VEHICLES THAT USE THIS STYLE RADIO. JESSICA FROM FCA CUSTOMER CARE SAID THEY WILL NOT HELP REPLACE THIS RADIO ONCE PAST THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY EVEN THOUGHT THE VEHICLE IS STILL WITHIN THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL TO FIX THESE DEFECTIVE RADIOS, IT IS $1,700 FOR A NEW RADIO AND BEYOND MOST PEOPLE'S ABILITY TO REPLACE OUT OF POCKET. SO I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS IS, UNLESS A RECALL IS ISSUED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

IT PLACES CALLS WITHOUT THE PHONE BEING ATTACHED, CALLS TO SOS SYSTEM OUT OF ITS OWN ACCORD, THE SCREEN APPEARS TO BE SEPARATED FROM THE REAR AND TO HAVE SOME SORT OF LOOSE LIQUID INSIDE , ALTHOUGH IT HAS NOT BEEN EXPOSED TO ANY. I DISCUSSED WITH THE DEALER AND THEY HAVE HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS. THE BACK UP CAMERA GOING ON BY ITSELF HAS ALREADY STARTLED ME A NUMBER OF TIMES AND I FEAR WILL CAUSE ME HAVE AND ACCIDENT AS I CANNOT CONTROL IT AND IT GIVES YOU THE IMPRESSION OF BEING DIZZY, ALTER YOUR PERCEPTION A LOT. ON THURSDAY JULY 16, 2020. WHILE CHANGING THE REAR RIGHT FLAT TIRE. I REMOVED THE FLAT TIRE AND ATTEMPTING TO LOWER THE SPARE TIRE DOWN. THE JACK BROKE IN HALF CAUSING THE TRUCK TO LAND ON THE ROTOR. IT WAS A BLESSING THAT I WAS USING THE WRONG END OF THE BAR THAT LOWER THE TIRE. THIS DELAYED ME FROM GETTING THE SPARE. IF I HAD USED THE CORRECT END OF THE BAR I WOULD BEEN UNDER THE VEHICLE GETTING THE TIRE OFF OF THE CABLE. THE RIGHT TAIL PIPE LANDED ON THE CURB OF THE PARKING STALL. (YOU LOWER THE TIRE FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BUMPER SO THAT IS WHERE I WOULD HAVE BEEN). I CALLED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICEI AND INFORMED THEM OF THE INCIDENT. I WAS INSTRUCTED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GO TO THE HANFORD CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER SO I CAN GET ANOTHER JACK. (THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE JACK HAD BEEN USED SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE). ONCE I ARRIVED AT THE DEALER I WAS DIRECTED TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT. I WAS INFORMED BY THE PARTS MANAGER WHO CONTACTED DODGE HEADQUARTERS THAT THIS WAS UNDER REVIEW. I COULD NOT GET A JACK. ALSO IF I DID GET A JACK IT WOULD BE THE SAME STYLE JACK THAT I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE FROM. I INFORMED HIM I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE SAME STYLE JACK. I WANTED TO UPGRADE. HE STATED HE HAD TO WAIT ON YOUR COMPANY FOR APPROVAL. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WITH THE COMPANY THAT A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE AS THIS ONE, THAT ALMOST CAUSE ME MY LIFE HAVE YET TO RESPOND. IT WOULD BE BEST TO INFORM THEIR CUSTOMER TO INSURE TO TAKE THE SPARE TIRE OFF FIRST BEFORE JACKING UP THE VEHICLE.

I WANT TO REPORT A SAFETY CONCERN. THE CONCERN IS ALREADY AWARE BY THE MANUFACTURER BUT I WANT TO ADDRESS THE POTENTIAL RISK IT PUT OUR FAMILY IN. THE RECALL IS KNOWN AS THE VB! OR NHTSA # 19V-757. WE BOUGHT THIS TRUCK TO HAVE A NICE AND RELIABLE CAR TO TRANSPORT OUR 1 YEAR OLD CHILD IN. OUR LAST 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LEFT US STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RODE WITH OUR KID DUE TO THE COMPUTER TELLING ALL INJECTORS TO STAY OPEN AND RESULTING IN THE MOTOR HYDRO-LOCKING ITSELF. WE TOOK OUT FINANCING TO PURCHASE AND THE GREAT 2018 ECODIESEL DODGE RAM. JUST 2 MONTHS INTO OWNING THIS MY WIFE LOST ALL POWER GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY. SHE REPORTED MASS AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AND THANK GOD SHE MANAGED TO MERGE OVER ALL LANES AND TO THE BEST OF HER ABILITY WITH NO POWER GOT THE TRUCK OFF THE HIGHWAY BY ABOUT 5 FEET AND THEN QUICKLY TURNED OFF THE MOTOR AND DISTANCED HER SELF FROM THE TRUCK. SHE CALLED ME IN COMPLETE PANIC. THIS STORY WOULD BE MUCH DIFFERENT IF OUR CHILD WAS STRAPPED INTO THE CAR SEAT ON THIS PARTICULAR DRIVE. SINCE THIS OCCURRENCE THE TRUCK HAS BEEN PARKED IN OVER FLOW AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND CONTINUES TO SIT UNTIL FIAT DISCOVERS A CORRECT REPAIR TO THE CRACKING EGR. I WARN YOU TO ALL YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT YOU HAUL DOWN THE ROAD IN YOUR ECODIESEL. THIS IS A REAL CONCERN! DEALERSHIP HAS CONFIRMED THIS WAS A RESULT OF THE VB1 RECALL. THEIR WAS NO EXTERIOR DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK AS THE MOTOR WAS QUICKLY SHOT OFF. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AND A NEW TURBO IS ALSO NEEDED. I AM NO SURE OF WHAT OTHER INTERNAL ENGINE COMPONENTS ARE NEEDED REPLACEMENT.

THE EGR UNIT IN MY TRUCK IS CRACKED. MY DODGE DEALER STATES THAT THERE IS A BACKORDER ON THE PARTS AND ADDITIONALLY I THINK THEY DON'T HAVE A REMEDY AND ARE CALLING THAT A "BACKORDER". THE COOLANT VAPOR THAT ENTERS MY TRUCK IS CAUSING HEADACHES AND I AM CONCERNED MY TRUCK MAY CATCH ON FIRE DUE TO THE DOCUMENTED FACTS REGARDING CRACKED EGR UNITS. THE COOLANT VAPOR ENTERS THE TRUCK CAB WHILE MOVING OR PARKED AND WITH AND WITHOUT THE HEATER FAN BEING ACTIVATED.

I OWN A 2018 ECODIESEL AND WHEN MY TRUCK WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY DID AN UPDATE CALLED AEM OR V08 EMISSIONS UPDATE. AFTER THE UPDATE MY TRUCK NO LONGER ACCELERATES FROM A STOP. IT CRAWLS AT UNDER 10MPH EXTREMELY SLOW APROX. 90 SECONDS UNTIL THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS I HAVE BEEN IN 3 NEAR ACCIDENTS DUE TO A LACK OF ACCELERATION. IN ADDITION TO THE LACK OF ACCELERATION I NOW GET MUCH LOWER GAS MILEAGE. PRIOR TO THE UPDATE I WAS GETTING 27 MPG, NOW THE BEST I HAVE GOTTEN WAS 19MPG. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW, TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE THAT GET GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND DRIVES THEY WAY IT DID WHEN I TEST DROVE IT, WHICH IS THE REASON WHY I PURCHASED IT. ONLY FOR THEM TO COMPLETELY CHANGE MY VEHICLE AFTER THE PURCHASE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION IS TO ME A BAIT AND SWITCH.

WHEN MY TRUCK RAN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY OFF RAMP WE WERE UNABLE TO PUSH IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE THE BRAKES WERE LOCKED. I HAD AT LEAST FIVE GENTLEMEN OFFER TO HELP ME PUSH IT OUT FROM BLOCKING THE OFF RAMP BUT WE COULD NOT BECAUSE OF THE LOCKED UP BRAKES. I SAT THERE FOR 45 MINUTES BEING CURSED AT AND HONKED AT BECAUSE CHRYSLER STUPIDLY THOUGHT IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE THE BRAKES LOCK WHENEVER THE ENGINE STALLS. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID YES IT DOES THAT ON PURPOSE BUT AGREED IT PROBABLY A BAD FEATURE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE DANGEROUS HAD IT STALLED ON A BLIND CURVE OR THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE IDEA AND VERY UNSAFE!
