2015 Ram 1500 Transmission Problems

While driving at approximately 50 MPH, my truck suddenly shut off without warning. I lost engine power, power brakes, and power steering. I was only able to stop safely because I happened to be traveling uphill.

The concern is a rear end collision. At road speeds, vehicle changed to neutral (popped out of gear). Engine continued to run.

While driving down the highway suddenly loss of power with MIL light. Pulled over contacted dealer. Codes p200a and p200b.

On about [XXX], I was driving and my engine felt like it missed and my check engine light came on and a message appeared telling me to get remote throttle serviced. The truck began to drive badly and lack of acceleration made it difficult to maneuver in traffic. The truck was very difficult to start and unsafe to pull into traffic due to lagging ability to accelerate.

While driving on the highway between Nenana and Fairbanks, AK, on August 9, 2023, I attempted to pass a slow moving RV towing a trailer. While in the passing lane, I accelerated and my vehicle suddenly loss power. I was forced to swerve out of the passing lane to avoid a collision with with oncoming traffic and the vehicle being passed.

The vehicle has experienced multiple Turbo underboost code causing the vehicle to be put into limp mode without any explanation, Rhyme or Reason.

Vehicle experiences frequent and increasing in frquency, extraordinary hesitation from standstill to power on. Apparent begining was subsequent to recall v08, emissions, jan 2020. Now 'unsafe' to navigate normal traffic because of the delay in response from input (depress accelerator) to response (vehicle moving at minimally acceptable speed) confirmed by service manager at dealer.

My 2015 Ram 1500 abruptly downshifted into 4th gear while driving down the road at approximately 50 MPH. I immediately pulled off the road and found that the truck was stuck in 4th gear. After some research I've found this is very common with the RAM's and that they had a recall on the newer models for the same issue.

On several occasions once the truck is put in park it will jump into reverse. This has caused two accidents. The first one caused damage to my garage door, and the second one caused damage to someone's vehicle.

While driving on the freeway pulling a small 16 ft. Camper (i77 nb, mm ~68 in north carolina), I noticed a loss of engine power and check engine light illuminated along with other warning lights, I tried the accelerator and the engine did not respond. I was able to pull safely onto the shoulder and popped the hood where I noticed flames.

Egr cooler cracked and leaked coolant onto the intake. This melted the intake and caused other damage. What happened to my vehicle sounds the same as NHTSA recall id 19v757.

Extreme lag during acceleration has almost resulted in multiple accidents. Work commute has me turning left onto busy road with limited visibility due to blind corner and I've almost been t-boned/rear ended because of the lag between giving the truck gas and actual acceleration. This is becoming more prevalent as temperatures drop.

The aem recall was completed and the truck has a horrible turbo lag, which almost caused me to be in an accident twice within 15 minutes of picking it up. Dealership will not look at it and this is an unsafe vehicle for road use.

My truck received the v08 emissions software recall before I purchased it in july of 2019. As with hundreds of other ecodiesel owners, I am experiencing a dangerous throttle lag when the engine is cold. If I try to turn left and merge into traffic, there is a several second delay before the truck starts building speed.

I had the recall from ram for the ecodiesel recall and now the truck is complete unsafe. I can't even accelerate into traffic without getting nervous. The truck lags and the throttle response is terrible now.

After v08/v11 recall was performed I now experience loss of acceleration till warm up. Like a dead pedal. Also a loss of a confirmed 5-6mpg.

After an emissions recall update was performed on my 2015 ram eco diesel I now experience lower MPG and poor engine performance along with a noticeable change in transmission shifting.. At times when pulling onto a highway from a stopped position the vehicle hesitates for a bit then seems to accelerate okay. This has become a safety concern do to the fact it isn't consistent.

Did the flash upgrade to fix the recall v08 and ever since then it has no acceleration when coming off a stop. It has a lag of a second or two and is very scary when trying to pull out in traffic. It has such a lag that pulling out that that your not sure that you wont get in a accident.

V08 recall. Acceleration from any speed, including standing start is dangerously delayed, pulling into and across traffic is unpredictable. There is no throttle response until around 70% throttle, then acceleration is unpredictable and late.

Ecodiesel - following recall aem (approved emissions modification) update, throttle response is extremely poor at times. When turning onto a roadway from a stop the vehicle is sometimes very slow to accelerate, risk of collision due to being unable to increase to safe speed.

Metal fragments in the engine and I have been to two different dealerships for powertrain warranty for repeated and ongoing repairs since fall of 2018 the first dealership did not replace the engine when the metal fragments were found in my engine after a cylinder misfire 5 and 7 they continued with all kinds of repairs and did further damage to my entire truck.

Re: 2015 ram 1500 pickup with 3.0 ecodiesel engine and automatic transmission following the v08 emissions recall, drivability has been seriously reduced and has created dangerous throttle lag and improper automatic transmission gear selection. I would summarize these issues as turbo lag and improper shift mapping.

Epa has required an aem flash update for my ram ecodiesel. This update has become a major safety issue. Due to the update, when the engine temperature is below 160 degrees fahrenheit, there is a 3-5 second delay in acceleration.

Emissions recall update involving v08 has forced my truck performance to now cause for concern the way I am able to drive my truck safely. The pedal response is terrible compared to the "stock software" and is a slow reaction until the truck is "warmed" up to about 150f degrees.

Since having the emission recall update installed, acceleration has been excessively reduced at engine temperatures below 150 degrees. The vehicle does not accelerate at a safe level from a stop. This has nearly caused multiple accidents due to the unexpected slow acceleration.

Fca required v08 recall was completed and their aem installed to the pcm/tcm. I picked my truck up and immediately noticed it was down on power. Since I have lost 4-5mpg average over what I was getting before the aem was installed.

Making the 12 mile trip to work when at mile 10 my truck experienced a decrease in power followed by a shuddering noise when on the throttle. Limped the vehicle off to the shoulder where I noted smoke. Opened the hood to discover a small fire toward the rear of the engine compartment.

Twice with in a period of three weeks the same issue/failure has occured. "service electronic throttle control". Both times the issue occured during rush hour traffic, at freewat speeds, while driving on a freeway.

When coming to a stop, vehicle fuel shifts in tank forcing vehicle unexpectedly forward under braking. If unprepared for the shift, which only happens under braking when the truck downshifts, the truck will overpower the currently applied brakes taking more time to stop. This can result in a collision with a stopped vehicle or object if the driver does not apply harder braking.

There isn't enough room for the entire ordeal, but I will do my best to congest it. June 19th: went to dealer ship with check engine light, nobody there knew what it meant, and they erased it and told me not to worry about it unless it comes back.

Traveling on highway in winter conditions the trucks anti-lock/ABS/traction control /4x4 and cruise control all stopped working and the dash warning lights started flashing. At 65 MPH while accelerating with traffic up hill on a corner on wintery roads the 4 wheel drive just stopped working and the traction control was lost.

I to the dealership for a check engine light being on. It turned out to be a oil pressure sensor. They did an inspection on the truck and found the pinion nut loose and leaking oil.

Ram 1500 big horn was stopped in front of my home garage, idling in park. I dismounted to close both outside mirrors when the vehicle shifted itself to drive. It proceeded into the garage and house wall causing extensive structural damage.

Vehicle was running and left in park. Went in reverse and crashed into a column.

April 14, 2017 my husband was heading east on I-20 in the tyler, texas area located in smith county texas.approaching his turn off at hwy 14. When exiting on the ramp he noticed smoke coming from the back of the truck. He looked and the service engine light was on and he began losing power.

While at home depot I remote started my truck and placed lumber in the bed. I proceeded to the driver's door and when I opened the door the truck went in reverse knocking me to the ground causing a laceration requiring 8 staples, concussion, lower back and shoulder pain and bruising.

I work at marysville axle plant , marysville mi ,they have had a serious problem with the rear axle catching fire due to axle shaft being tight at the bearing causing the bearing journal rubbing on the bearing during vehicle operation causing fire ,I have been told of 4 vehicles catching fire by my supervisor , they are tearing apart axles at an off site warehouse near the axle shaft supplier in corunna mi , I don't know who they are using to do this work or if they are even qualified to do it.

Rear Axle Shaft replacement Rear axle bearing & axle seal replacement Low compression cylinder 3 - not fixed It stalled out while driving and I made it to the side of the road and I had to have it towed. It was determined it is low compression on cylinder 3. Possible internal valve in the engine.

Tone wheel delaminating while driving. I was passing a vehicle in a passing zone and the truck lost power. Safety was definitely put at risk luckily there was no one in the on coming lane.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Camshaft and Lifter Failure in 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the camshaft and lifter failure in my 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L V8, which has only 141,000 miles. This issue began as a faint ticking sound—known commonly as the “Hemi tick”—and has progressively worsened, leading to severe internal engine damage.

Truck has less than 78k miles on it and I am the second owner. Bought it from a dealer and I mentioned to them that the rear end seemed to have some new metal pieces on it with silicone around it. Hard to imagine silicone used on a rear end.

pulling out into traffic and my truck stalled and the truck threw the code p0336 crankshaft position sensor a circuit range/performance. luckily I was able to pull into the median out of the way of traffic. took it to the dealer and they have done the new recall for the reprogram to sense off the cam instead of the crankshaft.

My Ram 1500 has lost power several times while cruising at 55+. The first time was related to recall W58. My crank sensor became delaminated and caused my truck to completely die.

I was traveling with my Ram 1500 Eco diesel truck pulling my camper when the Crankshaft position sensor on the transmission failed and my truck went into limp mode. I called the local ram dealership and they said they couldn't get me in for 5 days. I was staying in my camper off of the side of the road.

On the date of 10/24/2023 on my way home from work as I was exiting the freeway when I suddenly lost power steering thank god im only about 3 miles from home because it was extremely difficult to steer .

I was traveling about 70 MPH on the highway when I hit the accelerator to go around somebody and when I did the vehicle lost power and went into limp mode. service electronic throttle and check engine light came on. took truck to the dealership and they said it was the tone ring.

After getting the fca emissions modification pushed out by ram/fiat, I have lost about 20-25% gas mileage and power in the truck. The modification has ruined a great truck. Truck is now dangerous because of a lag and lack of power.

The vehicle was moving down the road as I'm driving the truck just looses all power cuts off and I have to jerk it to side of the road to be towed to dealership. It's the tone wheel for crankshaft and crank shaft position sensor. And when taken to dealership they have no parts to fix my trucks and I was given a case worker with fca or dodge and they can't get the parts it's been 3 months.

My vehicle lost power and was unable to drive while driving on interstate 94. I was with my 2 year old toddler and had to wait for a tow truck and my wife to pick us up. I had the vehicle towed back home to my local mechanic to look and diagnose the problem.

For over 2 years problem of noise (bearings in a glass jar sound) has been occurring. Taken into 4 dealerships with "we can't hear it" - 8th time of bringing it to dealerships attention as of this week - engine locked up & stopped in a 6 lane traffic 18 mos ago with block replaced - noise sitll there, open a ticket with chrysler 3 wks ago.

8hp70 8 speed transmission failed @68,000 miles. Towed 5800 lb toyhauler from abilene tx to reno nv. Was taking a day trip to lake tahoe (rv parked in sparks) when the transmission began skipping gears.

On may 31, 2020 I was traveling from baltimore, md to san antonio texas on ih 85 south near lexington, nc in the middle lane at 60 MPH when my vehicle totally shut down to a stop. Traffic was heavy but I safely pulled off to the shoulder and called for roadside assistance. We waited 3 hours before we got a capable tow for the truck and the u-haul we were towing.

Per the ecodiesel settlement I had the upgrades done on my truck. After the upgrade there was noticeable loss of power and throttle response. There were many occasions where the truck was unsafe to drive due to loss of power when merging into traffic from a stop or when accelerating to merge onto a highway.

The contact then received notification of NHTSA campaign number :20v036000 (power train) and 19v818000 (equipment, engine and engine cooling) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available.

Issue #1 truck is dangerous to operate since emission control update. Will not accelerate from a stop for several seconds then spins wheels. Unsafe on wet roads and slopes due to unexpected throttle response.

My vehicle was recalled for an "approved emissions modification" aem. It was stated that, "the aem was not expected to change any of your vehicle attributes...etc" after my vehicle received the aem it changed my vehicle's performance and safety. The vehicle lost the low end power and you have to step on the gas just to get the vehicle to respond.

I had the updated aem installed in my 2015 ram eco diesel. Now at times I step on the gas and it lags really bad(no power). This could be bad while in traffic etc

Power is off,throttle lag is bad turbo will not spool up until high RPM,transmission won't stay in 8 gear with the slightest incline and shifts back and forth from 6/7/8 when pulling small loads and with big loads it use to stay in 8th gear almost all the time fuel mileage is down by 6/8 miles to the gallon all this has happened after the vo8 recall,had to have a egr cooler and pipe put on because it went into limp mode, truck is scary to drive now you never know when is will excellerate when you push the gas some times it will take up to 5 seconds before it start pulling and I have a I cling going out of my drive and it almost stalls when going out in the morning and after it warms up it will throw drivel when it finally strts pulling .

When I got my truck it ran good pulled great and got fantastic fuel mileage .

After class action settlement of ecodiesel and after aem installed (modification of ecm and tcm for emissions) there is a substantial lag (turbo, transmission) that results in the vehicle not accelerating- like your dead in the water. When pulling into a busy lane of traffic it is extremely dangerous when the vehicle will not accelerate.

2015 ram 1500. Consumer writes in regards to electronic shifter transmission failure. *ld the consumer stated the vehicle suffered a failure of the electronic gear shift and/or transmission.

Follow-up to complaint numbers: 10809870 & 10818694, 2015 ram 1500 laramie limited 4x4 component part or system that caused the safety risk - unknown I took delivery of my truck from the service center on 01/20/2016. The body control module was replaced. On 02/14/2016, my wife and I were headed out for valentines dinner and I started my truck in the garage.

While the truck was been at the dealership from oct 5th to present, the uconnect system sent me and email warning at 4:30pm on oct. 16th about a malfunction indicator light regarding the power train. When I went to pickup the truck on oct 20th the engine warning light was on and the service manager could not get it to go off -so we left it there.

Stellantis has a recall for Loss of Crankshaft Position, Reference: 66A / NHTSA 23V-411. They did not include my truck in the recall but I have the exact same problem as verified by the dealer. The Recall Center will not answer the phone and reports errors when I call.

I was resuming speed after a toll, my 2015 Ram Eco Diesel 1500 lost all momentum, threw an alarm to service the Electronic Throttle with a red lightning bolt framed by two red lines, and I limped to the shoulder with several semi close on my tail. After researching I shut off for a minute, removed key, opened door, then restarted. The engine struggled and revved several times before starting.

I am reporting a defective tone wheel on my 2015 RAM 1500 Pickup equipped with a 3.0L engine ("RAM") while accelerating into congested rush hour Interstate traffic. The RAM experienced an unexpected significant loss of power due to loss of crankshaft position.

I previously sent a complaint regarding my vehicles CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. I took it to a dealership and I now have to wait for the part to be ordered! Then it is going to be about 2 weeks before it can be repaired!

While driving my vehicle seemed to downshift (best way I can describe it) and then I had a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT come on and another type of warning light came on. I was able to get it to a place that put a tester on it and I got a DIAGNOSTIC CODE P0336. REPLACE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.

Failure of the tone wheel on a 2015 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. W58 recall dated 2/2021 was performed. ( a software repair for a mechanical issue) W68 recall also dated 2/2021 refers to the replacement of the tone wheel in certain Ram 1500 trucks.

The engine seems to have failed. Yes it is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk as the vehicle lost all power on the highway.

Crankshift position sensor code PO366 was orginally fixed a couple years ago with a computer update. Now having the same issues hard to start and engine not firing correctly to safely merge with traffic. Been ran off road because it takes so long to get up to highway speeds.

No wreck related. But my truck just stopped running. It could of been bad if I was on a highway.

The vehicle loss power why I was attempting to accelerate on the highway. I observed ticking noise from the engine that progressively got louder and began knocking noise that eventually caused the vehicle to under perform. I took vehicle to dealer and they informed me of a damaged lifter in cylinder #5 the damaged cylinder camshaft.

The recall W58. The tone ring failed and my truck shut off on highway. Dealer said I have to pay for the repair.

Driving down the interstate at normal speed 60mph. There was a loud pop and white smoke, I pulled over and the drive shaft had broke loose, the u joint broke and cracked my transfer case. Dodge has a very bad problem in these year model with this same issue.

I backup a long side a dumpster and put in park, got out and all the sudden my truck started moving backwards and just about ran me over. If I would not have had my door open and got cought on the corner of the dumpster, it would have ran me over. So this event ended up ripping my door off, so I got it replaced out of pocket because I thought it way fault but it happened again after that.

2015 ram 1500. Consumer stated that their truck would not shift into gear. The consumer stated the dealer advised the ABS brake module needed to be replaced.

Mins after buying the dodge ram 1500 truck with only 77,000 miles on truck.. The check engine light came on and was locking itself in 4th gear and when returned to dealership they found it was the transmission shifter solenoid which was around a $700.00 to fix.

Manifold bolts have sheared causing exhaust leak while occasionally enters cab area when not in motion. Issue was brought to the attention of dealer on 4 different occasions when under warranty and no repair was made. Ram customer care was contacted now that the power train warranty has expired and no solution was offered.

My 2015 ram 1500 shift selenoid pack failed and it seems to be a very common problem or defect in the ram 1500 of that year. There was a recall issued on newer ram models for this part but not on this year model. The 2015 rams have the same same problem with the shift selenoid pack but I don't know if anyone has done any investigation on this factory defect.

2015 ram ecodiesel 80k. While accelerating into a very busy intersection, the truck shut off and all the gauges went crazy. I was able to get out of the way and restart it, however it will not go above 30mph.

While driving the shifting is hard and doesn't seem to know which gear it wants to be in at times, when put on obd scan gives p2704 code, have checked plugs, fluid levels, replaced speed sensors, and still giving same problem, also I have tried to have key fobic programed and all it will do is start, will not unlock or lock with correct fobic, gives code for radio frequency hub, I know the recalls have been checked but think they did not take.

Purchased new: 08/03/2015 first engine failed 4/27/18 (was replaced under warranty) traveling 65mph on I-495 beltway and in the span of 10 seconds, all dash lights came on, the engine made a terrible grinding noise, and it completely died on the shoulder. Emissions settlement: 05/2019 (100k warranty info from date of emissions software update).

Rear differential problems. Whining noise happening on a taken care of vehicle. Happens while driving.

This pertains to my 2015 dodge ram with the 3.0 liter ecodiesel engine. Ever since I got the required emissions control engine and transmission software update from fiat chrysler automobiles (fca), my truck's engine performance has been affected to the extent that I cannot depend on it's excelleration. I press on the gas peddle, and the engine hesitates severely before it accelerates.

Did the aem recall emissions reprogram. The truck now has very slow acceleration when cold. You have to floor the throttle to get it to move when cold.

Involving the eco diesel emissions update performed on my 2015 ram 1500 at the dealership by fca on 06/11/19 said it would not change the driveablity of the vehicle but it has, in the acceleration that is delayed or sometimes just not there at all, this is inconsistent and intermittent when pulling out onto a roadway I must take the possibility in mind that the vehicle might not get going into the flow of traffic, I find this to be a safety hazard for every day drivers.

I recently had the approved emissions modification performed on my 2015 ram 1500 ecodiesel. Since the modification, the truck has a terrible lag when I take off, sometimes up to 5 seconds. This happens when I put my foot on accelerator and try to go.

After the aem update related to the eco diesel emissions settlement, the truck has a dangerous throttle lag, especially at cold start. I have pulled out numerous times only to have essentially no response before a vehicle comes along at highway speed. I can put the pedal on the floor and it can take several seconds before the truck finally starts to accelerate.

I have received various recall notices on this vehicle which I would like someone to look into this to see if this car qualifies as a lemon. These items have been fixed by the different dealer ships, but have more than 5 recalls is a bit too much.

Following the epa mandated reprogramming, the vehicle suffers throttle lag to a degree that it is unsafe. From a stop, especially while warming up, a lag of 3 to 5 seconds is experienced. Sometimes when pulling into traffic, the truck will begin to move, only to hesitate after it's already too far into the intersection to abort the action.

Had v08 recall done and lost approx 5mpg and when leaving a stop sign at times cannot get to move very sluggish and a lot of throttle lag dealer states nothing is wrong along with fca but the truck did not do this prior to v08 recall

My 2015 ram ecodiesel is part of the fca recall for emmisions. Immediately after the recall was performed on my vehicle I noticed a decline in performance. The vehicle has a severe lag in acceleration.

"aem recall" following the aem recall on the dodge ram ecodiesel, vehicle experiences dead spots in it acceleration. Pressing the gas pedal, even to the floor, provides no input to the truck for 3-5 seconds. This issue has placed myself and my family in danger in multiple intersections and in merging traffic.

I've had a wobble/shimmy in the rear end of the truck from the start. Have aligned, balanced and rotated tires and now new tires. Truck rear end wobbles at speeds above 50 MPH.

Was driving down a highway and all the warning lights lit up like a christmas tree on the dash. Then the vehicle started to slow down by itself and then started to take off by itself. As I was slowing down it leaped forward into oncoming traffic when I was trying to turn off the highway.

Have a vibration or shimmy in the right rear tire, wheel or axle. Have put on new tires and rotated/balanced them. Dodge dealership has looked it over and tells me no problem.

This is the second ram I have ownec with a shift knob on the dash. Both have failed around 60k miles. In both trucks the shift will randomly either go jnto neutral or park while stopped..

Ecodiesel truck for the past 6 months shuts off randomly while driving, starting from a stop and when idling whenever fuel tank reaches 1/4 full or less. Truck is difficult hard to start when at 1/3 fuel level.

2015 dodge ram 1500. Consumer writes in regards to brake transmission shift interlock safety recall. *ld the consumer stated the transmission was replaced 3 times, but still failed.

Truck was in park was out of truck for about 15 minutes. Truck starting moving hit end of bridge and caused approx. $2,500.00 damage to truck and it was still in park.

To whom it may concern, I own a 2015 ram 1500 big horn crew cab with 8 speed (8hp70) transmission. The truck intermitently issues check engine light and goes away a few times through out the day and or will stay off. Obdii code p1d8c is stored currently in the car.

Transmission shifts hard. The tranny does it sometimes. It could be warm or cold.

Keep getting "service gear selector" messages. Dealer checked and replaced selector and less than a week later I get the same problem and worse. When I shifted to reverse, the "r" kept flashing and a warning came on.

Transmission problem... Sunday, 12/18/2016 in minneapolis, mn remotely started vehicle at 6:00am -22 actual air temp. Vehicle had been warming up (idling) for 15 minutes.

Vehicle check engine light came on, took to dealer who noticed black sludge in coolant. I was told it wouldn't be under warranty and someone had sabotaged truck. I told them it looked like oil in coolant and that's exactly what it was.

The vm motor has numerous failures resulting from the camshaft gear on the fuel pump side of the motor slipping and causing catastrophic engine failure. These problems will occur generally after 70k miles. There is a process currently performed by d&j diesel in midvale utah to permanently fix this problem.

Follow-up to complaint number: 10809870 2015 ram 1500 laramie limited 4x4 component part or system that caused the safety risk - unknown I took delivery of my truck from the service center on 12/18/2015. The ignition switch and the receiver hub were replaced.

Vibrations while driving ,noticeable in driver and passenger seats, 55mph to 78mph mainly ,sometimes at lower torque uphill, note all tires ,wheel balanced re road forced and new replacement tires , still vibrates, current odo 1589 miles.

Truck has been in shop from 5/20/2015 through 6/19/2014; 3/20/2015 through 3/20/2015; 7/10/2015 through 7/17/2015; and currently in shop 10/13/2015 through current date and time. Engine has been replaced and it is leaking oil from an unknown location.

Crankshaft position sensor and tone wheel went out outside the extended coverage.

In writing complaint against FCA for not fairness for some VINs with Ecodiesel doesn’t include W68. Following with recall W58 vs W68, my VIN was picked for W58, but never pick for W68 because my VIN is not included. Just complete service for crankshaft throttle failure and spent $2000 for this.

Transmission started to slip and not have the power it supposed to have.

The crankshaft sensor and turn wheel had a recall of 2015. My VIN.# Did not make the list. Every where on line said the turn wheel magnets started breaking just after 100,000 miles.

The lifter is ticking for no reason I always use royal purple in my 2015 ram 1500 now for no reason out of no where it started to tick just driving to work. Now the more I research I find out that these hemi 5.7 engines are well known to tick because of the lift. If these lifters are well known to go out why haven't a recall been activated to fix the problem.

The crankshaft went out and needed to replace complete engine. I know other newer models ram 1500 trucks have the same problem but mine is a 2015, it was not listed on the recall.

Truck automatically goes in neutral while driving and displays message shift to p then desired gear. Other times it says shift to p to start. Happens while driving on highways and roads.

W58 recall inspection completed. Chrysler states W68 recall does not apply to vehicle because the part affected was not made at or at the time of the part (tone ring on fly wheel) was not at the location or time as others which are eligible for the recall. Initially EGR recall completed with engine light - a few weeks later crank shaft position sensor error code engine light.

Aem update caused vehicle to perform in an unsafe manner. Hesitates upon acceleration from stop. Transmission shifts irregular and no longer slows vehicle downhill.

After the recall and new update for fuel mileage rating. There is a delay in the throttle/turbo when applying the gas pedal. This happen when you are between 10mph and 15mph and are at a slow roll and apply the gas.

Recently complete the aem emissions flash now my truck has a seriously throttle delay up to 7 seconds, I either sluggishly pull into traffic and hope not to get t boned or give myself and passengers whiplash when I have to depress the throttle in order to make the truck move. This occurs every morning and afternoon when going to and leaving work. And throughout day when running errands.

So far the manufacturer is saying that it has to do with a cold vehicle, however, I have had this happen when the vehicle was up to operating temperatures while unload and while towing.

Fca issued a software update known at "aem" after they lost their class action lawsuit. I had my truck updated on 5/29/19 with the "aem", rotary shift autopark recall update, the seat belt recall update, airbag recall update, and the tailgate recall update. I also had a catastrophic egr system failure that made my truck inoperable for nearly three weeks.

Fiat chrysler (fca) recently settled a class action lawsuit affecting my ram ecodiesel truck. After that settlement, I was required to get a software flash called the "approved emissions modificatoin" (aem). After receiving that software "fix", my truck drives notably different and is now very dangerous due to the huge drop in power and increase in turbo lag.

After recall v08 /v11 updates: severly delayed trottle response when accelerating. From a stop to actual throttle responding to 3/4 pressure is at a minimum of 30-40 feet.

After v-08 emissions recall on ram echo diesel truck lost horsepower and getting lower fuel mileage. The truck barely has the power to move itself much less any towing capability. The fuel mileage went from 20 MPG highway to 15 MPG highway.

After receiving the updated engine programming recall on my ecodiesel ram, the throttle response is dangerously slow when accelerating from a dead stop. There is a several second delay from me applying pressure to the throttle pedal and the engine reacting and accelerating. It's very difficult to judge when turning into traffic because of this delay.

After the reflash of ecu/tcm on ram eco diesel for emissions the truck is dangerous to drive with excessive turbo lag when cold. It often hesitated several seconds before moving.

The emissions recall v08 has made my vehicle dangerous to pull out into traffic

After recieving fca's recently released recall for the aem emissions recall the trucks performance is dangerously erratic. There are times the truck will hardly move from a stop pulling into cross traffic and other times it will accelerate extremely hard. This unknown makes it dangerous to operate in a lot of circumstances.

Since applying the ecodiesel settlement ecu flash, my vehicle is downright dangerous to drive. Especially when not fully warmed up, shifting and turbo lag makes the vehicle nearly undriveable in certain circumstances. The gas pedal has a huge lag and non-linear behavior (press to floor, nothing, then everything all at once).

Had the ecm modification done pursuant to the emissions settlement between fiat chrysler and the epa. Vehicle has become a terrible slug with horrible acceleration, and I have now had numerous incidents where it won't accelerate quickly enough to make a left turn without scaring me for fear of getting t-boned by oncoming traffic.

Why my VIN number is not in the NHTSA data base regarding the ram 1500 pick up recall for 2014-2016 vehicles? Involving majority of the drive train, exhaust, evc, and air intake.

I had the required aem update done 6/18. This is for the eco diesel emission settlement. Since this was done it is a different truck.

I had the recall done ( v 08 ) , now the throttle response is terrible and the fuel mileage has dropped by two MPG in town and two and a half MPG on the highway . You don't want to pull out into traffic unless you have a lot room because of severe throttle lag , it will lag and then take off like a rocket , but you never know when , also downshifts on hills that it never used to before .

After getting the most recent 'v08' recall on my 2015 ram eco diesel I've since had extreme lag on the truck when taking off. This make it extremely difficult when pulling out into traffic. This was not an issue before the update.

After completing the approved emissions modification, per the fca-epa lawsuit settlement, I've noticed substantial turbo lag and shifting issues (holding gear too long). This is particularly dangerous when pulling out onto streets or expressways where I need to accelerate up to speed quickly. There is a 3-5 second lag before the turbo begins spooling and my truck begins accelerating.

I recently had the aem recall update done on my 2015 ram 1500 ecodiesel and now my truck's performance and fuel mileage has really suffered. Lost about 3 MPG and the truck is very sluggish now. It makes it dangerous to drive.

I had previously filed a complaint in regards to the effect of the aem (v08) ecodiesel class action settlement recall. The number of the previous complaint is: 11210536. In addition to what was previously reported as dangerous/safety related, the vehicle for several minutes after a cold start, although apparently running smoothly, when attempting to accelerate, will not.

After mandated "reprogramming" for the ecodiesel settlement on may 29th, truck does not accelerate from standing start, transmission has failed to engage. Have to turn truck off and restart and hope transmission engages in drive.

After 3 recalls were performed, including a transmission shifter recall the vehicle now surges and lurches forward when I start it. It is fully in the park position and not moving. I now have to be sure to have my foot firmly on the brake when I start the vehicle.

Exhaust manifold bolts continually shear off from the high heat displacement of the 5.7 v8 hemi engine. Symptoms include a rapid ticking sound during engine startup.

My driveway is on a slight incline and for the 3rd time since purchasing this truck, when I put the truck in park it has rolled backwards. This happened again today and I had to jump in the truck while it is moving and put the brakes on. This has the 8 spd transmission with the rotary knob.

Lack of acceleration from still to passing gear. Rpms go up and slowly accelerate

I have multiple issues but the scariest is after setting the emergency brakes and putting my 2015 ram 1500 in park my truck will roll up to 4 feet. This happens almost every time I put it in park. Every time I park it I worry that it will roll and hit a person or another vehicle.

Put truck in park and exited vehicle and it rolled away in drive. Ran after it for 2 blocks until it jumped a curb and halted. No injuries but could have been serious.

Passenger side rear axle shaft wearing prematurely, where the outer axle bearing rolls on the shaft, the normal, intact bearing is wearing a deep groove into the shaft. Appears that the shaft is abnormally soft or abnormal steel makeup.

Parked truck in driveway. Driveway has slight incline. Put truck into park and went inside house.

I put my truck in park on the electronic transmission control with engine running walked away about 20 yards when the truck started rolling I tried to run after it but only got myself hurt and the truck took out a mailbox and fence.these electronic transmission shifters are not to be trusted.

Vehicle was in park running and unoccupied for approximately 4 minutes when the vehicle rolled away backwards striking a large tree.

Vehicle is a 2015 ram 1500 truck with 8-speed transmissions and "dial-a-gear" electronic gear selector. The vehicle was driven to a gas station and pulled up next to a gas pump. Driver exited the vehicle, and realized that they needed to pull forward about 2 more feet to better align the truck with the gas pump.

This truck jerks into first and second gear when slowing down. This transmission defect lunges the truck forward in a very abrupt and surprising manner. The truck is difficult and dangerous to drive, specifically in heavy traffic.

On 6/12/17 I backed out of my garage and shifted the truck into park.(electronic rotary dial shifter mounted on dash) I exited the truck to retrieve an item in the garage, leaving the truck running. My 10 year old son, who was inside the truck, screamed to alert me. I observed my truck in motion moving forward toward my garage.(not coasting as if it were in neutral but rather in drive).

I was backing my truck to hook up to trailer I stop truck put in park from reverseleft motor running got out started walking to back of truck when the truck started going forward . I tried to catch iti got door almost open when I was crushed between my truck an a parked ford pickup I went to hospital for ct scan lucky only hip contostion . Done lots of damage to both trucks .

Truck rolled away down the driveway and into the road while in park. Did not cause any damage but is unsafe for kids playing in the neighborhood.

On november 05, 2016 at approximately 1230 hours I walked out to my ram 1500 pick up truck, which was parked in my driveway and started it up. I pulled the truck forward in my driveway approximately a full truck length, put the truck in park and exited the truck, leaving the driver side door open. The truck was left idling.

I put the 2015 ram 1500 into park and removed the key, when I stepped out of the vehicle it started to roll backwards down my driveway. I was able to get back into the vehicle and apply the brake. I put the key back into the ignition and the park indicator light was on.

Stopped at mail box on 3% incline. Put truck in park and set the park brake. Jumped out with the door open to get the mail.

I went to put vehicle in park and I turned the dial to "p" and the light flashed above and the key would not come out of vehicle. I then exited vehicle and vehicle started to roll away. I jumped back in vehicle and pushed the emergency break.

My truck tonight was in park rolled down my driveway. So while it was in park had my wife sit in truck I pushed on my truck while my son watched the wheels. And of course the wheels moved and my truck rolled back while in park.

3-4 times now I have put the truck in park, started to exit and had it go into reverse. One time I was out of the truck for a few seconds before it started to roll backwards and the door hit me. I was able to get back in and stop it every time.

Bought a brand new 2015 dodge ram 1500, the first week I had an issue with one of the windows not going back up, about a month later I was driving and the new knob shifter, went into neutral by itself while I was driving. Meant to take it in, but had been so busy with work, that I was going to wait until the first oil change.

Fumes coming into cab through AC vents causing passengers to become ill with nausea, headaches, light headed, confusion. Air coming from AC vents during smell is reading 60-200ppm on co monitor.
