EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL
Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2013 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks manufactured September 9, 2012, through March 5, 2013 and equipped with optional premium tail lamps. In the affected vehicles, the turn signal indicator may not flash at a double rate to give a notification to the driver of a turn signal malfunction. Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the Central Body Controller software, free of charge. The recall began June 27, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N35.

DEFECTIVE headlamps. Excessive moisture builds up in housing effecting performance of lights in evening. Was stopped by DPS for having bad headlamps. Dealership says it normal, no its not. It's very unsafe to drive at night with moisture in lamps. Had it looked at or inspected by independent shop and DPS. My safety is at risk for you can't see at night with all the moisture in lamps. This is a common problem with Ram 1500 all over the internet.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE HEADLAMPS AND TURN SIGNALS FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (3175 E SAHARA AVE, LAS VEGAS, NV 89104) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT CONDENSATION ENTERED THE HEADLAMPS CAUSING THE FAILURE TO THE LED LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED TSB: 23-105-18 AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, WAS INFORMED FROM THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE TSB HAD EXPIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 155,000.*LN*JB
FRONT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES CONDENSATION, WILL NOT GO AWAY
THE PASSENGER FRONT HEADLIGHT KEEPS BURNING OUT ITS HAPPENED 3 TIMES WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE DASH SCREEN KEEPS SAYING SERVICES TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS . THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY AT NIGHT.
BOTH HEADLAMPS ARE EXPERIENCING SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE ENTERING THE SEALED BEAM AREAS, CAUSING A "FOG-LIKE" EFFECT OVER THE INTERIOR OF THE HEADLAMPS AND REDUCING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF NIGHT TIME VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. THE MOISTURE DOES NOT GO AWAY ON ITS OWN AFTER A FEW DAYS AS FCA ENGINEERS SAY IT SHOULD.
2013 RAM PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WON'T WORK DUE TO INFERIOR WIRING AND COMPUTER PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP AND SEVERAL MECHANICS HAVE CONFIRMED THIS PROBLEM. NO ONE CAN AFFORD THE 'FIX" FOR THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NO PROBLEM REPLACING BURNED OUT HEADLIGHTS BUT SEE THE POOR DESIGN OF THIS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT CAN NOT BE RESOLVED REASONABLY. I HAVE A 1995 TRUCK WITH NO HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS NOW OR EVER. IF THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T COME UP WITH AN EASY FIX THAN THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED. OR DISCOUNTED FOR DAYLIGHT ONLY.
DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKERING . MAKING DIFFICULT TO DRIVE . IT IS HAPPENING WHEN TRUCK IS IN MOTION AND WHEN IT IS STOP EVEN HAPPENING WHEN ENGINE IS SHUT OFF INSTEREMENTS LIGHT FLICKERING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 RAM 1500. WHEN THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS CONDENSATION COVERING THE INSIDE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED AND FOUND INFORMATION STATING THAT WATER WAS ENTERING THE VEHICLE FROM THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED SIX INCHES OF STANDING WATER UNDERNEATH THE REAR SEAT AND THE SMELL OF MOLD INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT BULB WAS SHATTERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VISIBILITY WAS VERY POOR WHEN THE LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHT WERE ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,500.
I FEEL THAT THE HEADLIGHTS (HALOGEN) ON MY 2013 RAM 1500 SLT ARE INADEQUATE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK SAFELY. THE LOW BEAMS ARE TOO DIM AND YELLOWISH TO SEE DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD MANY VEHICLES IN MY 35+ YEARS OF DRIVING AND THESE ARE THE WORST HEADLIGHTS OF ANY CAR OR TRUCK I HAVE EVER SEEN OR EXPERIENCED. I HAVE SEEN OTHER 2013 RAM TRUCKS WITH SIMILAR HEADLIGHTS WITH THE SAME DIMNESS AND YELLOWISH LIGHTING. I FIND MYSELF OVER USING THE HIGH BEAMS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE LOW BEAMS FAIL TO DO THE JOB. OTHERS HAVE HAD TO HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS, RAM NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS. ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS IS THAT THERE IS A APPROXIMATE 1 SECOND DELAY WHEN USING THE HORN TO WARN OTHER DRIVERS. TAKE THAT 1 SECOND DELAY WHILE DRIVING AT 30...40...50 MPH AND IT MAGNIFIES THE DANGER. *TR
HEADLIGHTS (STANDARD) ARE INADEQUATE. CAN NOT SEE WITH LOW BEAMS UNLESS IT IS TOTALLY BLACK OUT AND THERE ARE NOT ANY OTHER SOURCES OF LIGHT CLOSE. THE ONLY WAY I KNOW MY LIGHTS ARE ON WHEN IN TOWN IS BECAUSE OF THE GREEN LIGHT ON DASH. I CAME UP UPON ANOTHER TRUCK RECENTLY THAT WAS GOING SLOWER THAN I WAS AND HE HAD HIS BLINKERS GOING BECAUSE HE COULD NOT SEE WITH HIS LIGHTS EITHER (I PULLED INTO GAS STATION BEHIND HIM AND ASKED). IT WAS ANOTHER RAM 1500. THEY ARE SO UNDERPOWERED SOMEONE IS GONNA BE IN AN ACCIDENT. ALREADY TOOK IT TO DEALER FOR READJUSTMENT, DID NOT HELP. *TR
MY HEADLIGHTS ON 2013 DODGE RAM 1500 LARAMIE ARE GETTING A LOT OF MOISTURE/CONDENSATION IN BOTH OF THEM. I HAD THEM REPLACED BY DEALERSHIP BUT MY NEW PAIR ARE DOING THE SAME. I HAVE SEEN ON OTHER SIMILAR TRUCKS LIKE MINE WITH SAME ISSUE. THIS IS CAUSING MY LIGHTS TO LOOK DIMMER INSTEAD OF BRIGHTENING UP THE ROAD. I HAVE THE PROJECTOR STYLE HEADLIGHTS. *TR
