While parking, your car unexpectedly accelerated and hit a wall hard enough to trigger your seatbelt. When you tried to turn off the car, the transmission system malfunctioned and cycled through all three drive modes (N, R, D), and your brakes were ignored as the car accelerated into the garage wall again. Neither the forward collision avoidance nor back-over prevention safety features activated. The repair bill is $17,000, and you've also experienced the car stalling and shutting off on the highway in the past.
