Your Kia Sedona had multiple problems: the sliding door wouldn't close properly and would open while driving, and the power mirrors operated on their own. After taking it to the dealer for a fuel system recall repair, the engine stalled at a stoplight while driving at 50 mph, the key wouldn't turn off the engine, and steam came from under the hood as the radiator cap blew off. The dealer says the water pump, alternator, drive belts, oil pan gasket, axle shaft, crankshaft pulley, and battery all need replacement, suggesting serious engine overheating and mechanical damage occurred.

Your car's rear and side doors are locking electronically and won't unlock using either the manual key or key fob. This creates a safety hazard because passengers could become trapped inside the vehicle in an emergency. The issue appears to be with the electronic door lock system rather than the power window or door control mechanisms.

Your car's anti-theft immobilizer system isn't working properly — a basic key without a computer chip was able to start and run your vehicle, which shouldn't be possible. The dealership claims your VIN doesn't match any known immobilizer issues and refuses to investigate further. The fix would likely involve having the dealership reprogram or replace the immobilizer system and key fob components.

Your driver's side sliding door's power lock won't stay latched—it keeps popping open and making noise while you drive. To keep the door closed, you have to disable the power lock feature. However, with the power lock off, the door becomes very hard to open and sometimes won't open at all. This creates a safety concern since you may not be able to exit the vehicle in an emergency.

Your passenger door is stuck and won't open from inside by pulling the handle, pushing the door lock button, or using the remote — and the outside handle won't open it either. This is a safety concern since passengers couldn't exit the vehicle in an emergency. The dealer tested it and said it worked fine for them, so they won't repair it, even though your extended warranty acknowledges a problem with the rear sliding doors.

Your side doors won't open using the manual handles—you have to use the front control button instead. The remote door locks work inconsistently, and your dashboard sometimes shows the side doors are open even though they're actually closed. This problem started with the previous owner and continues with you.

WHEN WE EXPRESSED THIS SAFETY CONCERN TO KIA CUSTOMER SERVICE, WE HAVE BE COMPLETELY STONEWALLED AND CANNOT EVEN RECEIVE A RETURNED PHONE CALL FROM THE CASE MANAGER.
