When your ABS brakes activate at very low speeds during snowy or rainy weather, your steering wheel locks up and dashboard warning lights come on, leaving you with no control of the car. This has happened about 5 times over 2 years at various mileages, most recently at 210,000 miles. Your mechanic hasn't been able to identify the cause. The issue likely involves diagnosing problems with the ABS system, steering control module, or related sensors that may be malfunctioning during low-speed braking in wet conditions.

KIA SEDONA RECALL ON HOOD LATCH AND FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS RELATED TO VIBRATION/STEERING. I EXPECT THE DEALER TO PICK UP, FIX AND RETURN THE VEHICLE. DEALER INDICATED THEY WOULD NOT. MY HAVING TO DELIVER AND PICK UP THE VEHICLE WOULD BE AN EXPENSE TO ME THROUGH NO FAULT OF MINE. RECALLS SHOULD COVER ALL EXPENSES INCLUDING PICK UP AND DELIVERY. MY DEALER IS 2 HOURS AWAY!
ABOUT 18MO AFTER OWNING THE VAN WE STARTED TO HAVE ISSUES WITH SHIFTING FROM PARK TO OTHER GEARS. IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AS TIME GOES ON. NOW I HAVE HAD TO REMOVE THE SHIFT NOB AND DEPRESS THE LINKAGE TO GET IT OUT OF AND INTO GEAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 KIA SEDONA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH IN RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT, CRASHED INTO A CURB, AND ROLLED OVER. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE REAR PASSENGER SUSTAINED A CHIN INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
