Digital display that shows speed and fuel level stops working and goes black while driving. Happened in 2024 and the display was replaced at my cost. New display experienced the same blackout in January 2025. Manufacturer is unable to deliver a new replacement display to their dealership to fix the vehicle. It has been almost 5 months without any resolution in sight. Other owners who have used my carwash have mentioned similar experience
The instrument panel cluster in the 2020 Wrangler Sahara seems to have failed. As such, the driver cannot read the gas gauge, tire air pressure, and other vital metrics. There is a recall on this issue (30B), however my VIN is not included. I would kindly ask to see if my VIN should be included. The Wrangler has approximately 57,000 miles. This problem has been diagnosed by Capitol Garage in Willimantic, CT, Gary Bennett (Service Advisor). 860-786-4759 Jeep Customer Care Case # [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
When you try to accelerate on to highway or try to accelerate to change lanes the engine losses power or the power shuts down. Trying to pass and losing power I had to return to my previous lane and forced several vehicles to slam on their brakes in my previous lane so I could return. Loosing power trying to enter the passing lane forced the vehicle to slam on their brakes that I had just merged into. On another 2 other occasions vehicle looses power when trying to merge onto freeway. First occasion I was able to pull off to shoulder to avoid flowing traffic. Second incident there was no shoulder when merging onto freeway. Semi truck changed lanes to avoid my vehicle because I could not accelerate to speed. These incidents seem to happen with altitude and freeway driving speeds. There are no engine codes showing. This recent incident happened in the Shasta pass area.
Driving on the interstate with cruise control set at 79 mph (dash has digital indicator of cruise control speed, as well) and the vehicle kept accelerating upwards of 90 mph without touching the buttons or gas. Then speed would drop/deceleration would occur intermittently going down as much as 9 mph before I stopped cruise control. I had to pull the vehicle off the interstate, turn it off and back on to enable cruise control to safely function again.
